Double Trouble Crazy Cousin - Final Week for August

Well, it's my final week as the Double Trouble Crazy Cousin for August and here is our recipe for #224 - Scrapper's Gorp you:

I really enjoyed playing along with the Double Trouble family this month and would like to extend my appreciation to them for having me!  Here is my final project:

My papers are from Unity Stamp Co. called The Soft Side of the Fence - I used 3 different papers from the same pack, 2 colors (yellow and green), and one image. I followed the TSOT sketch and included the Twisted Sister's twist of stitching on my stitched edge circle die (Mama Elephant).  My cow and sentiment stamp are from a Stampin' Up! set called Wild Bunch - stamped with Versafine Black, embossed with clear embossing powder, and colored with Copics. I fussy cut the cow and attached with foam tape. I die cut the sentiment (Jaded Blossom Mini Tag Dies set) and attached with brads.  The die cut balloons are from a set of birthday dies I have had FOREVER and cannot remember the manufacturer but it was a big company like MFT or something like that. If you know, please tell me so I can update!  Thanks!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Try a Sketch on Tuesday #703

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

AllSorts #857 - All Creatures Great and Small

Try it on Tuesday - Inspired by a Song (Happy Birthday to You)

Make My Monday #285 - Yellow & White Plus Another Color

AAA Birthday #88 - Flowers

Thank you for visiting! Peace.

I created my background with stencils and Distress Oxide Inks on watercolor paper. I stamped the ghost from Unity Stamp Co's Daisy Boo-ho set with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics and used a deckled edge round nesting die from Mama Elephant to cut out. I tied a ribbon from my stash (old Stampin' Up! one) around the card and attached the ghost with foam tape. Peace.

I ink blended my background with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink and then flicked some Fossilized Amber Spray Stain on it. I stamped the flowers/sentiment from Pink & Main's Plant a Garden set with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I used my stitched edge arch nesting dies from Unity Stamp Co. to cut it out and layered on another cut from a piece of black cardstock. Peace.

Creative Knockouts #577 - Favorite Embellie (die cuts)

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

My method of transportation for the Cut it Up challenge is a broom!  LOL

I used some papers from Echo Park and nesting stitched edge/postage stamp dies. I printed out Witch on Broomstick from All Dressed Up Stamps and colored her with Copics. I added a little sentiment from Unity Stamp Co. and some nesting bat dies from Tim Holtz. Peace.

Spell on my Heart Tag

Happy Friday! Today is my 33rd wedding anniversary - I won't say "I wouldn't change a thing" but I definitely wouldn't change who I married!  ;)  We make a good team, me and Jeremy, and we work hard at it!  We got married as babies, just 22 years old - of course not realizing at the time that we were babies... LOL

And a more recent one:

..........................................................................

On to the reason you're here - I'd like to enter the tag below into the following challenges:

Passion for Markers #852 - Ribbons and/or Bows

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

Just Us Girls #838 - Anything Goes Stencil Week

I used the Mid Century Star Mask stencil from the August release at A Colorful Life Designs in reverse fashion for this little tag. I had a scrap piece of watercolor paper that had some leftover ink on it in a shade of purple, so I let the stencil sit and dry on that and then used the Tag Trio Die from Gina K Designs to die cut the tag. I sponged the edges with black ink and stamped the sentiment directly on the tag. I stamped the witch (both from Mama Elephant's Bewitched set) out separately, colored her with Copics and fussy cut her. I attached her with foam tape and added some rhinestone stickers and a ribbon tag. Peace.

You're a Star Virgo!

As sad as it makes me, Leo season is finally over.  SIGH. LOL  But - it's VIRGO season, baby! I used the BauHaus Ultrasounds stencil from the August release at A Colorful Life Designs on this project:

I made this card for one of my best friends and I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:

All About Papercrafts - All About Frames!

Wednesday's Creative Inspiration - Anything Goes

A Cut Above - AG/Optional Fall (must use die cuts)

Classic Design Challenge - AG/Optional Use Die Cuts

Creative Knockouts #577 - Use Your Favorite Embellie (die cuts!)

I used a piece of watercolor paper for my background - I started by spraying with Lindy's Magicals Glory of the Seas Gold Spray Shimmer, then I applied Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink on the stencil, misted with water and let it dry while laying on the paper, giving it that watercolor look. I distressed another piece of watercolor paper with more Black Soot DI and water, then die cut the frame from Mama Elephant's Line Detail Frames Creative Cuts set. I stamped the Virgo girl (Cosmic Stars from Mama Elephant) with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored her with Copics, fussy cut, and attached with foam tape. I stamped the stars & sentiment (Mama Elephant Starry Night) directly on the background, embossed with clear sparkly embossing powder, and added some Stickles. Peace.

Pisces ATC

Good morning!  Today I have an ATC I'd like to share, I will enter this into the following challenges:

The Little Things #07 - Mermaids or Pisces/Fish

Tag-alongs & ATC's - AG/Optional Fashion

AllSorts #856 - Embossing Dry or Heat

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Lots of Layers

4-Season Challenge - A Couple

I used a scrap piece of watercolor paper with some pretty blue Lindy's Magicals on it to die cut my ATC (Mama Elephant's Artist Trading Card Creative Cuts) using all of the layers of pieces it includes, as well as the "fishbowl" (the fishbowl was a cauldron die that I cut the bottom & handles off of!). I stamped the Pisces fish from Mama Elephant's Cosmic Stars set directly on the fishbowl die and colored with Copics. I hand drew the bubbles and added some glitter to them, then layered that on top of the middle piece with foam tape. I stamped everything with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder - sentiments are from the Starry Nights set (no longer available) and the Spell Abilities set. Peace.

Mid Century Star Mask with Lindy's & TGF

Good morning!  I have a couple more cards to share today using one of my favorite stencils from the August release at:

Don't forget to use code JennFan10 for 10% off!

This one is called Mid Century Star Mask - I used it in both traditional and reverse styles:

I would like to enter this 1st card below into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Going Around in Circles

AllSorts #856 - Embossing Heat or Dry

Creative Inspiration - Anything Goes

Just Add Ink - Choose 2 or More (circles & sequins)

I used Lindy's Magicals in Impressionist Ink for the background - it's one of my favorites, it's such a cool color and you never know which colors will pop out when you leave it alone instead of blending it into black! I love the bits of yellows & pinks & blues... I stamped the words & microphone from the Cheeky Divas kit (The Greeting Farm) into the circles left from the stencil with Versafine Black and embossed with a clear sparkly embossing powder. I added some little sequin stickers to a few of the other empty spots. I stamped the girl from the same set out the same way, colored her with Copics and fussy cut. I drew some sparkles in her hair with a white gel pen and attached her with foam tape. Sentiment is from a Tim Holtz sticker book.

................

And I'd like to enter this next card into the following challenges:

Wednesday's Creative Inspiration - Anything Goes

Try it on Tuesday - Inspired by a Song

Let's Craft & Create - AG/Optional Distressed Paper

Classic Design Challenge - AG/Optional Use Die Cuts

For this one, I simply used the same stencil without drying it off so it had the nice leftover powder with water from the Impressionist Ink Lindy's Magicals and I just let it dry on a piece of watercolor paper. I stamped another girl from the same TGF Cheeky Divas set, colored her with Copics & drew the stars in her hair with a white gel pen. I fussy cut her & the microphone, adhered the mic to her and then attached her with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment out separately and die cut with one of the dies from the Decorative Sentiment Dies set at Emily Moore Designs, then added some rhinestone stickers to that for sparkle. Peace.

We Love Stamping - Summer Blooms

AllSorts #856 - Embossing Heat or Dry

This is a one-layer card on a piece of watercolor paper. I stamped the bee & bouquet from the Buzzy Blooms set at Unity Stamp Co. as well as the sentiment from Papertrey Ink with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I applied opaque texture paste through a honeycomb stencil (Tim Holtz/Ranger) in the corner and let that dry. I spritzed some Fossilized Amber Spray Stain in the corner and let it drip and flow into the empty spaces on the panel. I then colored the flowers with Lindy's Magicals (Pink Petal Panic from the Field Notes set) and Copics. I decorated both the front & back of the envelope with stamps from the same set (Buzzy Blooms, Unity Stamp Co.). I sponged the edges with black ink to finish it off. Peace.

Let's go on an adventure!

Today I have another card to share using the adorable new mermaid digi from the August release at:

She's called Mermaids & Fishes and here's my card:

I grabbed a background from my stash and used a piece of a mermaid scale die cut that I had left over from another project for the background of this card. I printed out the mermaid and I separated the fish from her and printed that out larger, then colored them with Copics. I fussy cut and attached with foam tape. Added a sticker sentiment from my stash to finish it off.

Color Dare #717

Hi friends!  We have a new color challenge for you today at:

I used all 4 colors on my card today:

I created my background with the Field Notes set of Lindy's Magicals, using Grazing Grasshopper and Pink Petal Panic. I printed out Flower Girl and Festival Boy (not in shop at the moment) from All Dressed Up, colored with Copics and sponged the edges with the darker pink ink. I attached the panel with foam tape, layering a die cut XO on top and a heart with a sticker text "love" in between the characters. I added one more heart/arrow die cut next to the sentiment on the bottom.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

4-Season Challenge: A Couple

(this card reminds me of "Leather and Lace" by Stevie Nicks & Don Henley)

Paper Funday - AG/Optional Fancy/Fun Folds

Classic Design Challenge - AG/Optional Use Die Cuts

Thanks for stopping by! Peace.

Life is More Magical... IG Tag Hop!

I am so glad I stumbled upon the tag hop group on IG - I love making tags and this has given me an excuse to save them on a metal ring and actually display them!

You can find me on IG at @craftywitchyjenn

Our theme this time around was to use the paper towel technique. Now what I learned is that you really need paper towels with a good, clear pattern! Mine were more of just a wavy design, so I made the best of it!

I glued my paper towel on to a piece of watercolor paper, then die cut the tag from it (Gina K Designs Tag Trio die set). I then very lightly dragged a blue ink pad over it, then a black ink pad - I went a little more heavily on the edges with the black. I used some black texture paste through a star stencil to create the design on it. I stamped the witch (Simon Says Stamp Hocus Pocus set) & sentiment (Mama Elephant Magical Wizards set) with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder, colored with Copics and fussy cut. I used a die cut from Emily Moore Designs on the sentiment and attached everything with foam dots. I then tied a black satin ribbon on it to finish it off.

I would like to enter my tag into the following challenges:

Tag-alongs & ATC's - AG/Optional Fashion Parade

Classic Design Challenge - Anything Goes/Optional Use Die Cuts

A Place to Start - AG/Optional No Rectangles

Creative Knockouts #577- Use Your Favorite Embellie (die cuts)

Thanks for visiting! Peace.
