Last of the June Stencils - A Colorful Life Designs

Below are my final projects with the stencils from the June release at A Colorful Life Designs! Don't forget you can always use code JennFan10 for 10% off!

This is the Rope Trellis stencil:

I worked in my small art journal for this - I layered Distress Oxide Inks, spraying with water and drying in between layers. I blended Tea Stain Oxide Ink heavily through the Rope Trellis stencil, then stamped the seahorse on the page with permanent black ink. I added the seashell die cuts and I fussy cut the sentiment from an ephemera strip (I believe from Funky Fossil).

I'd like to enter this first one above into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Stars and/or Stripes

Crafty Catz - Anything Goes

Classic Design Challenge - AG/Optional Summer Fun

Outlawz June - Anything But a Card

This next stencil is called Whale Flip:

Celebrate

June is slowly coming to an end, so I'm trying to squeeze in the last of the cards I made with the June release stencils at A Colorful Life Designs! Don't forget you can use code JennFan10 for 10% off your purchases every day!

This one is called Patriotic Stars:

I used the Patriotic Stars stencil in combination with the Patterned Noise stencil, using the reverse stencil technique on watercolor paper with both. The inks I used were Distress Inks in Candied Apple and Blueprint Sketch. I applied those more heavily to some scrap papers and die cut them with the Hero Arts Circle Set Fancy Die. I stamped Ian from The Greeting Farm's Skater Couple set (not available right now but you can always request in the Farmer's Market!) with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I printed out the pinwheel, colored everything with Copics and glitter, fussy cut and attached with foam dots. I added a "Celebrate" sticker and some rhinestone stickers for bling.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Stars and/or Stripes

Die Cut Divas - Anything Goes

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

Krafty Chicks #826- Masculine

Thanks for visiting! Peace.

For the *@!%teenth time...

Good morning!

WARNING - Swear words below.  If you are easily offended, please don't continue scrolling! ;)

..........................................................................

I have a fun snarky card to share today - this is for the:

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #275 - R is for Rainbow

Creative Fingers - Anything Goes

I started by spritzing a piece of watercolor paper with water, then dipping my watercolor brush in rainbow shades of Spray Stains and drawing a rainbow. I then stamped the kitty & sentiment from the Night Yoga set at Ink Road Stamps with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics, then stamped him again on scrap paper to create a mask. I used the mask to ink blend the sun rays coming down on him through the rainbow. Peace.

The artist at Creative Magic by Nilu, or @Kreativzauberby Nilu, has created another free digi stamp with paper for you - available for the next 24 hours!  This is Lucy:

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

I colored her with Copics and used a filmstrip die to cut her out, adding polka dots to the background and glitter to her glasses. Finished it off with a little "xoxo" sticker from a sticker sentiment book. Peace.

Balance

Good morning!  We are off to spend the day at my daughter's house hanging out with the kids and some friends.  I always look forward to spending time with them!

I had so much fun making this card below, I really stepped outside my comfort zone with the colors and such, and I was so happy that I did. I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

AllSorts #852 - Bees, Blooms, and/or Birds

Cut it Up #359 - Critters

Fab n' Funky #640 - Starts with a B (bee and balance)

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

4-Season - Stamping Without Coloring

I happen to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator (hobby) and I received a free paper pack recently of 12x12 designer paper called Irresistible Designs. It is a white paper with a shimmery pattern - the one I chose to use has flowers on it:

I cut the DP down to 6x4.5" and painted the whole thing with Lindy's Magicals in Toadstool Taupe from the Enchanted Forest Shimmer Magicals set. I then took a piece of watercolor paper, stamped the bee design stamp from Funky Fossil's Let it Bee set with Versafine Sparkle and embossed with clear embossing powder. I used the Tag Trio die cut from Gina K Designs to cut it out, then sprinkled the Toadstool Taupe powder on it, spritzed with water, and let the magic happen. I fussy cut the sentiment (Unity Stamp Co.) and attached the tag with an old Stampin' Up! metal flower brad. Peace.

Keep Calm and Be Zen

Any time I win stamps or digis from a company, I try to use them to show my appreciation - so when I won a gift card to Sunbird Spark, I had to get some digi stamps and play along with their challenge!

One of the digi sets I chose is called Zen Time. I kept this very simple as I wanted the focal point to be the entire scene. I printed it out, colored with Copics, and used a stitched edge arch nesting die to cut out. I layered the sentiment on top of it and added a strip of rhinestone stickers. Peace.

to the beach - Rope Stars Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs

I can't believe June is so close to being over! I have a few more cards to share highlighting the June release stencils at A Colorful Life Designs - don't forget you can use code JennFan10 any day to save 10% on your order!

This is the Rope Stars stencil:

I had this background in my stash where I had used the reverse stencil technique with the Ocean Stars stencil from a previous release. I pulled it out and used some Distress Oxide Ink in Tea Stain to distress the edges and apply the Rope Star stencil through. I embossed the Rope Star with clear embossing powder, added a kraft ticket and a "to the beach" die cut.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday - At the Beach

Classic Design Challenge - AG/Optional Summer Fun

Fab n' Funky - Something Beginning with B (beach)

Creative Knockouts - Summer Fun

Thanks for stopping by! Peace.

Girlz and the Art of Letters - D is for Dark

I'm back for another guest DT spot at the Girlz and the Art of Letters Challenge blog, this time the theme is the Letter D!

I went with "D is for Dark":

I ink blended my background using Fossilized Amber, Villainous Potion, and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks. I then used a baby wipe through the Star Circle stencil and the Sun & Moon stencil, both from the June release at A Colorful Life Designs. If you use code JennFan10 you can save 10% off your order!

I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder, then sponged the edges with black ink.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Paper Funday #88 - AG/Optional Polka Dots and/or Stripes

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

Crafty Catz - Anything Goes

Girlz Creative Splash it With Color #24

Thanks for visiting! Peace.

It's OK...

Good morning!  We have a new color challenge for you today and the color combo is one of my favorites!

Color Dare #710

Here's my creation:

I used Mica Spray Stain in Hocus Pocus and Ranger Spray Stain in Twisted Citron to create the background on watercolor paper, using the ink smooshing technique. I matted it on a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock from Stampin' Up! I stamped Yoga Anya from The Greeting Farm (old retired rubber stamp) with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics and a white gel pen and used a filmstrip die to cut her out, cutting the die again with black cardstock to frame her inside of. I added a sentiment sticker and lots of rhinestone stickers for bling.

Die Cut Divas - Anything Goes (with a die cut)

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

Creative Fingers - Anything Goes

Paper Funday #88 - AG/Optional Stripes and/or Polka Dots

Thanks for visiting! Peace.

Seaside Tag

I love making Summer projects, using bright colors and allllll the mermaid stamps! LOL  I would like to enter my tag into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday - At the Beach

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

Creative Knockouts #573 - Summer Fun

Shopping Our Stash #576 - Summertime

Classic Design Challenge - Anything Goes/Optional Summer Fun

I absolutely love the Tag Trio from Gina K Designs - I spent an afternoon just taking a bunch of my scrap papers and die cutting tags out of them! This one had been previously distressed with Oxide Inks and a mermaid scale stencil, so it was perfect for this project. I printed out the images from My Enchanted Colors and used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut them out. I colored with Copics and Stickles and attached with foam tape. I layered a die cut "netting" behind her and added Liquid Diamonds to her balloons. The ribbon I tied on it is a very old one from my stash from Stampin' Up! around 2005 or so! Peace.

Sunflower Girl

I was honored to be asked to do a guest DT spot for Star Stampz

Theme is:  Summer!

I have had this sunflower stencil in my stash for so long, and I rarely use it because it's so big and I struggled with coming up ideas for it! I used lots of Oxide Inks and Spray Stains on watercolor paper, embossing only the center of the sunflower. I thought this My Sweet Sunflower image from Star Stampz was just perfect for it! I printed her out small and colored her with Copics and glitter, fussy cut, and attached with foam dimensional tape.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Cupcake Inspirations - Anything Goes

Shopping Our Stash #576 - Summertime

Passion for Markers #843 - Add Flowers

Crafter's Cafe #222 - Anything Goes/Optional Blooms

Once dry, I painted the bubbles with a different color of Lindy's Magicals. I printed out the fish digi stamp (an old one from Doodle Garden, I love his tail fins), colored with Copics and glitter, and fussy cut. I attached him and the sentiment strip with some foam tape.

............................................

I had ink blended Distress Oxide Inks on the watercolor panel, then applied Black Soot Oxide Ink through my Star Dots stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use code JennFan10 for 10% off!). I flicked some white acrylic paint on it and let it dry, then sponged the edges with black ink. I stamped the girl from The Greeting Farm's Cheeky Divas Big Kit with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored her with Copics and a white gel pen, fussy cut, and attached with foam tape. I stamped the microphone & record theh same way, fussy cut, and attached with adhesive. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Dazzle and embossed with a white sparkly embossing powder from Lawn Fawn, then used a deckled edge nesting die to cut out (Mama Elephant). You Are My Sunshine

Just popping in one more card today for the:

Papercraft Challenge #131 - Sunny Days & Bright Hues

Classic Design Challenge - AG/Optional Summer Fun

I created my background by ink blending and spritzing inks through my Solar Rays stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (you can use coupon code JennFan10 for 10% off). I printed out the adorable mermaid Tidewater Tails Lunaria from Sweet November Stamps, colored her with Copics and glitter, and fussy cut her. I added some Liquid Pearls to her hair, then attached her hanging off the edge of the card and trimmed her down. Finished it off with a little seashell die cut. Peace.

Best Friend

Good morning!  It's funny how we stumble onto companies or products and they end up becoming one of our favorites and we don't know how we ever lived without them!  LOL  For me, that's Jaded Blossom.  My crafty buddy Rosemary designs for them and one day she made a post about how the glasses dies go so well with the characters from The Greeting Farm... well, I was hooked on the idea!  So I made a decent sized purchase from them, and I was officially a fan for life! Their dies are amazing - sturdy, fun, and they cut perfectly! There's nothing more frustrating (well OK maybe a few things) than a die that didn't cut through all the way! That doesn't happen with these.

Anyway! On to the artwork - I'd like to enter my card below into the following challenges:

Created for the Jaded Blossom June Challenge - Best Friends

Creative Inspiration - Anything Goes

A Cut Above - Anything Goes (with die cuts)

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything Goes

I started out by applying Lindy's Magicals to a piece of watercolor paper and set it aside to finish drying. I used a leaf pattern stencil and applied a dark green ink through it on a separate piece of cardstock. I then used the Rounded Rectangle Internal Scallop die on the Lindy's piece, and sponged the edges of the inside piece with more of the dark green ink before adhering it to the card. I then used scraps of previously distressed watercolor paper to die cut the plant using the Potted Plants dies. I printed out the Best Friend sentiment (Polkadoodles), used a rounded edge nesting die to cut out, sponged the edges with black and then attached the plant on top of it using foam dimensional tape. I added some rhinestone stickers for bling and a snarky sentiment sticker from a Tim Holtz book. Peace.

A Little Birdie Told Me...

Good morning! I have a quiet week and I'm looking forward to it! I tend to pack my days full of plans when the weather is nice because I'm a freaking hermit all Winter! So it's nice to slow down a bit and just enjoy the peace for a minute!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

CAS on Friday #336 - Birds

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Things with Wings

AllSorts #852 - Bees, Blooms, and/or Birds

Krafty Chicks #825- CAS

I started out by spritzing a tiny bit of Candied Apple and Fossilized Amber Spray Stains onto my glass mat - I spritzed with water and then ink smooshed just the corner of my card. I dried it with a heat tool, then stamped the bird & sentiment (Dina Wakley) with Versafine Black and embossed with a clear sparkly embossing powder. Peace.

All Dressed Up - Flower Girl

Good morning! The FB Dressy girls have some more inspiration for you today using the beautiful new images from:

All Dressed Up

I used papers from Pebbles - Peek-a-Boo You/Girl - I used a die cut filmstrip, heart, and the frame I used around her is from the Rounded Rectangle Internal Scallops nesting dies set at Jaded Blossom, one of my favorite frame dies! I colored her with Copics and a white gel pen, added a premade sentiment attached with little brads and some rhinestone stickers for bling. I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
