I used both stencils in the reverse fashion for this card - I used my Gelli plate for the background/Magic Runes, then sponged the edges with black ink. Sentiment is a stamp from My Favorite Things. I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Fight Like a Girl

I dug this pink zebra paper out of my stash and printed this image from Krista Smith to go along with the Pink Ribbon theme. I colored with Copics and used a stitched edge square nesting die to cut out. I finished it off with a pink satin ribbon. Peace. 

Mr & Mrs Skeleton ATC's

 Good morning! Only a few days left of September so I'm posting the last of my September release projects from:

This one is called Mr & Mrs Skeleton:

I paired it with the Magic Runes stencil for the backgrounds:

For my first ATC, I used Black Soot Spray Stain through the Magic Runes stencil on a scrap piece of previously distressed watercolor paper and trimmed it to ATC size (3.5x2.5"). I then applied Black Soot & Villainous Potion Distress Oxide Inks through the skeleton stencil and embossed with a sparkly clear embossing powder. I used a stitched edge oval nesting die to cut out and sponged the edges with black ink. I die cut the word EEK! out of a scrap piece of previously distressed silver cardstock:

For my next ATC, I didn't clean the stencil after using it above so I spritzed it with water and let it dry on a piece of watercolor paper. I trimmed it down to ATC size and sponged the edges with black ink. I applied Distress Oxide Inks through the skeleton stencil and embossed with clear sparkly embossing powder, die cut the letters for the word BOO from black cardstock and covered them with Black Stickles:

Halloween Cards

 I can hardly express how much I LOVE making Halloween cards! LOL  Let's just say anyone with a birthday anywhere close to Halloween pretty much gets a Halloween-themed birthday card! hee hee ;)

I have 2 cards to share today, this first one is for the following challenges:

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - AG or Use a Die (must use Penny Black product as focal point)

Cut it Up #365 - Orange and Black (must use die cuts)

Tic Tac Toe #302 (I used orange, plaids/checks, and pumpkins as well as die cuts, free, and embossing)

I used papers from Authentique and die cut the pumpkin, the tab with the sentiment, the corner spiderweb, and the deckled edge nesting circles (Mama Elephant). I stamped the owl (and sentiment) from Penny Black's Pumpkin Pals with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder, then colored with Copics. Finished it off with a little bat brad.

I used all reused/repurposed scraps and backgrounds from my stash for this entire card - I had created 2 panels of the background piece so I die cut one using a deckled edge rectangle die and layered it on top of the spiderweb die (I had been using that as a stencil so it's layered up with lots of pretty inks and glitters). I followed the sketch with a die cut broom, crystal ball, and spider, adding a little sticker from a Tim Holtz sticker book. Peace.

Let's Brew Up Some Fun!

 Gloomy, rainy day today - we are in the middle of a nor'easter, so I'm just glad it's September and not SNOW!!! I'm going to spend the day in my craft room and throw on a pot of beef stew later, I make a badass beef stew if I do say so myself! Spending time in my kitchen is my 2nd favorite way to spend a rainy day!

Just Us Girls #842 - Stencil Week

I had so much fun making this background - I LOVE making night scenes and full-moon scenes! For this one, I started with my layering full moon stencil from Spellbinders. I used different shades of yellow Distress Oxide Inks on watercolor paper, continuing the yellow beyond the stencil edges to create the "glow". I then blended some Chipped Sapphire, Villainous Potion, and Black Soot around the rest of the card, going heavy on the black on the card edges. I die cut the fence from Kraft cardstock and stamped the sentiment (My Favorite Things) with Versafine Black, then embossed with a sparkly clear embossing powder. I printed out Flying with Charlie and & Drusilla's Bat from Sweet November Stamps, colored with Copics, fussy cut, and attached with foam tape. Peace.

After I had used the stencil traditionally with black ink on it, I then spritzed it with water and lay it down on a piece of watercolor paper. I then sprinkled the magical Lindy's powders over it and spritzed again with water. I let it dry before I lifted up the stencil, then I attached some die cut spiders and EEK! sentiment. Peace.

As soon as I saw the colors at Cupcake Inspirations, I knew I wanted to make a Christmas card with non-traditional colors. I used the Mid Century Breeze Blocks Mask stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, combined with some inks & pastes on watercolor paper to create the background. I used 2 different purple sprays from Lindy's Magicals on another scrap of watercolor paper to mount behind the main image. Digi stamp is My Little Elf from All Dressed Up, colored with Copics and a white gel pen. I used nesting arch dies from Unity Stamp Co. to die cut - sentiment is from a Funky Fossil Sticker Book. Finished it off with some aqua rhinestone stickers. Peace.

My Story

I used lots of sprays, inks, some crackle paste and a spiderweb stencil on watercolor paper to create this tag (Luggage Tag Wafer Dies - Sugar and Spice -from Simon Says Stamp). I sponged the edges with black ink and simply added some die cut spiders and the word EEK - tied it off with some black twine-type ribbon. Peace.

Too Cute to Spook

 It's a good thing I make a lot of my projects ahead of time because I have not had a second to sit down and play in my craft room for over a week!  I finally got in there yesterday and it felt so good. It's truly therapeutic to me.

I created my backgrounds with watercolor paper - the black is Black Soot Distress Oxide Spray with water and the orange is Lindy's Magicals Haunted Halloween Hag's Wart Orange. The digi I used from All Dressed Up is called Boo - I Can See You Girl (she's not currently in the shop but there are lots of other adorable images to choose from)! I colored her with Copics and used a deckled/torn edge nesting die to cut her out. I attached a little ticket ephemera from Unity Stamp Co. and added a sticker from my stash (SRM Stickers) on the top piece that I die cut with one of the banners from the Decorative Sentiment Dies set from Emily Moore Designs. Peace.

hello Autumn!

 Good morning! I just realized we only have one week left of September!  How did that happen? LOL I wanted to make sure to share the rest of my September stencil projects from:

I used Lindy's Magicals for everything on this one - so first I used the magicals through my stencil by simply sprinkling, spritzing lightly with water, and letting dry. I then used the same Magicals like watercolors and just painted them on some scrap watercolor paper. Once dry, I die cut the leaf sprig and the word "hello" and then used the last piece to apply a strip across the middle of the card. I tore the edges of the panel and attached to a green card base.I wish you could see the sparkle on this!!!

Enjoy Life - All Dressed Up New Release: Crown of Hearts

Good morning!  The Dressy FB Girls have some more inspiration for you today using our new release images!

I used Crown of Hearts. This was a retired digi that I saw someone else use and I asked our fearless leader, Wendy, to bring her back. She made a few updates and I got my wish - I'm very lucky to be a part of this awesome design team! Isn't this digi just adorable? I loved her so much that I made 2 cards with her.

I created my background with Pewter Mica Spray on a piece of watercolor paper - I sprayed with water and let it drip while drying with my heat tool. I printed out the Crown Hearts digi (All Dressed Up) large and used my deckled edge circle nesting die from Mama Elephant to die cut just the top part of her. I colored her with Copics and Stickles and added some rhinestone stickers. The hearts, word "hugs", and larger deckled edge circle behind her were die cut from a scrap piece of watercolor paper that I had distressed with Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink. I sponged the edges of the hearts with a little bit of black ink. Peace.

I used lots of Distress Oxide Sprays and water to create my tags - using watercolor paper and the Tag Trio from Gina K Designs. I stenciled the pumpkins with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and embossed with clear sparkly embossing powder. I tied some fun fuzzy ribbon through them and sponged some black ink around the edges. I used one of the dies from the Tag Trio by Gina K Designs to die cut the tag from a piece of watercolor paper. I spritzed it with Pewter Mica Spray Stain and let dry. I took a scrap of watercolor paper that had some red ink on it and applied some thick black embossing powder to the torn edge, then attached that to the side of the tag. I stamped the spiderwebs, sentiment, and owl from the Owl-O-Ween STAMPtember set (collab between Whimsy & SSS) directly on the tag with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored the owl with Copics and added some black rhinestone stickers. Peace.

 Good morning!  We have a beautiful new color challenge for you at:

I used a digi stamp and printable papers from Kreativzauberby nilu on Instagram. I colored with Copics, fussy cut her and layered her on top of a die cut (Hero Arts). I added a rub-on sentiment from my stash to a little tag and attached that with a flower brad from my stash.
