WW: Sparkle & Oddball Reminder: Die Cuts

Hello!  Today is a HOT one - one more day of work after today, and then I have a 4-day weekend. So looking forward to it!  For now, I have 2 projects to share with you.  First up, we have a new challenge for you at:

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge:  Make it Sparkle


I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:


For my little ATC, I printed out this gorgeous image from Polkadoodles and cut around her a bit smaller than the ATC size.  I colored her with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and used lots of Stickles.  I mounted this onto an ATC that I had covered in DP, then added the word "sparkle" with my Dymo Caption Maker and finished it off with the little gemstone stickers.

We All Scream for Ice Cream!

Good morning!  This is a short week for me with a nice, long weekend coming up.  I took off Friday & Monday from work, I sure hope I get some nice weather to enjoy!  Today I have one card to share:

I colored with a combination of markers, pencils, and mineral spirits.  Added Stickles to the ice cream, and used a piece of the DP (doodlebug echo designs) for the sentiment.  Peace.

Outlawz Progressive Freebie Challenge: July

I kind of struggled with this one, I don't really make a lot of boy cards but I found these cute stickers that matched the colors I used and I was happy with the end result!  The freebie is from Blueberry Bear Digi Stamps and I colored him with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Everything else is from my stash.  Peace.

The Corrosive Challenge: To Die For

Good morning!  Today I'm excited to announce that I've joined the Design Team at The Corrosive Challenge!  We have a new challenge for you today, the theme is To Die For (use die cuts):


Our sponsor is Oddball Art and I created a mixed media painting on an 11x14 canvas with Richelle #216.  I had a lot of fun with this, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the die cut shapes including the filmstrip, skull, crown, and butterflies.  I used white paint for the background, textured and spritzed & sprayed with some mists.  I also added drops of alcohol inks.  I added a tag, a fuzzy peace sign sticker, and a clay heart to the crown. I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Life is a Beach!

Hello there - today is my mama's 66th birthday.  We had a little impromptu celebration at my parents house yesterday - Jeremy and I along with my sister and her husband, hanging out by the pool and cooking on the grill all day. We had a great time.  Here is the card I made for her:

Happy Friday!  My day started out really crappy, but I'm determined to make it better.  I sent my hubby a text message telling him I was having a bad morning and he wrote back asking if he could take me out to dinner tonight.  Of course I said yes... so now I have something to look forward to.  :)  Hubbies can be good like that, eh?

Coexist

Hey!  I just wanted to pop in and share the newest tattoo with you:


I've wanted this tattoo for a long time - I love the whole idea of it, everything it represents.  I think it speaks for itself.  It's on my right forearm, and I just love it.  Artwork by Jeff Gemma at Secret Society Tattooing.  Secret Society is not just a tattoo shop, but also an art gallery.  Jeff is the owner and is a complete sweetheart and an amazing artist.  If you're local, you should definitely check it out!  Peace.

Live in the Moment
