Your Future is Really Bright

Good morning!  Ready for more snow today! I guess winter waited until the end!  LOL I'd like to enter this project (a framed gift for a friend) below into the following challenges:

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge - Anything But a Card or Tag

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

A Cut Above - Anything Goes with Die Cuts

Cut it Up - This Makes Me Smile

As You Like It - Favorite Stamping or Digi and Why

(This fortune teller kitty is one of my favorite stamps because I am a witch and I love anything to do with crystals, potions, books, crytal balls...and I love using physical stamps because I can stamp them directly on paper that I've treated that I cannot run through a printer)

I created a room scene by drawing lines with a pencil and then masking off each section while I ink blended the other sectioin, then I reinforced the lines with a black marker. Stamps and dies are all from Lawn Fawn - I've had this adorable Fortune Teller Tabby stamp set for a while now and finally used it! I colored with alcohol markers and used some Glossy Accents on the crystal ball. And now that I'm looking at it as a picture, I realize I should have put the fortune teller at her table a little lower on the floor.  Ah, whatever - this was my first time creating a homemade room scene, so I'm pretty pleased with it regardless!  I hope you like it! Peace.

All Dressed Up - New Release!

We have an adorable new release for you today at

The image I played with is called Hugs

I colored her with alcohol markers and fussy-cut one side of the panel for depth & dimension.  Papers are from Doodlebug Designs. I added some heart die cuts and a text sticker sentiment from a Tim Holtz sticker book.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Creative Knockouts #540 - Love/Valentine's/Anniversary/Wedding

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge #748 - Love/Anything Goes

Just Us Girls #761 Die Week - Use a Heart Die

If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #201

Thanks for looking - you can use one of our new images to enter either the blog challenge (returns on February 15) here or the FB challenge here!  Good luck! Peace.

Piggies & Pandas

I have 2 cards to share today, both focus on heart and love for Valentine's Day. I would like to enter this first one into the following challenges:

Colorful Options Mood Board

Try it On Tuesday - Romance

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #259 - L is for Love

Fab 'n' Funky #609 - Include a Stamped Image

I enjoyed creating this card with a mixed media feel - I used some texture paste through a heart stencil on a piece of watercolor paper.  Once it dried, I used several shades of Lindy's Magicals, Distress Spray Stains, and Distress Oxide ink pads to color the background - and used a little Stickles on the biggest heart.  I stamped the cute little pig from Paperie Ink Stamps Mr Cupid set directly on the background, then spot colored some of the hearts.  I added some diamond gemstone stickers to finish it off.

..............................................

And I'd like to enter this one below into the following challenges:

If You Give a Crafter a Cookie

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - Anything Goes

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Love is in the Air

Wednesday's Creative Inspiration - Love is in the Air

Just Us Girls - Dies Week - Use a Heart Die

I used a piece of Doodlebug Designs designer paper on a dark gray cardstock.  I cut my LOVE sentiment with die cuts using a previously distressed piece of watercolor paper.  I stamped the panda from Paperie Ink Stamps Crafty Friends with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder, then colored with alcohol markers, fussy-cut, and attached with foam dimensional dots.  I added the xo stamp in the upper corner and a LOVE sticker in the bottom corner and finished it off with some die cut hearts. Peace.

Stupid Face & RIP

Morning!  Woke up to snow - they actually called most of the local schools off last night for today, which blows my mind. LOL  I'm going to see Theresa Caputo (remember the Long Island Medium?!?) tonight with my friend An.  I'm super excited!

I have 2 cards to share today.  First up is a snarky Valentine that I'd like to enter into the following challenges:

Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers - Love

Try it on Tuesday - Romance

Double D Challenge - Hearts

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Love is in the Air

Wednesday's Creative Inspiration - Love is in the Air

Stencil Fun - Anything Goes with a Stencil

I created my background by painting with Lindy's Magicals all over watercolor paper.  I let that dry completely and then used a sponge to apply Oxide Ink through my Stupid Face stencil (heart & text) from A Colorful Life Designs (use code JennFan10 for 10% off).  I sponged the edges in black - voila.  Simple but effective - and nice and shimmery, too!

..............................................................................................

I'd like to enter the next card into the following challenges:

Die-Cut Divas - Shaker Cards

A Cut Above - Anything Goes with Die Cuts

Halloween Crafts All Year Round

Two Old Bats - Anything Goes Halloween

I had an absolute ball making this card. LOL  I almost always stamp, whether it's a digi or traditional stamp, but this card was made completely with die-cuts and rub-ons.  I also have really struggled with shaker cards in the past, but I found this tutorial on Stamptastic Design's Youtube channel that really helped me pull this one off successfully!  I used the Spooky Forest Backdrop die set from Lawn Fawn.  My background is just a piece of watercolor paper that I blended Black Soot Oxide ink on and then sprayed with water and blotted with a paper towel.  I used some rub-ons from Tim Holtz for the gravestones.  My shaker star pieces are from the Card Bling section at A Colorful Life Designs. I'm so pleased with how this one came out! Peace.

Friendship - Bottled Posies Stencil: A Colorful Life Designs

Good morning!  I was supposed to watch the kids today but ended up with the day off, so I'm going to get some work done this morning and have some unexpected time to spend in my craft room.  Yay!

The new stencils from A Colorful Life Designs for February are just fantastic.  If you use code JennFan10 at check-out, you will receive 10% off your order.  I used the Bottled Posies, my favorite from this release, for the card below.  I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Bright & Cheerful

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything Goes

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

Stencil Fun - Anything Goes (optional pink/red)

Fab 'n' Funky - Include a Stamped Image

I had so much fun with this stencil.  For this card, I used Lindy's Magicals to paint through the stencil.  I love the grungy look the not-so-perfect coloring makes.  I then flicked some gold Mica Spray over the images, sponged the edges with some black ink, and finished it off with a text sticker from a Tim Holtz sticker book. Peace.

I then stamped the sentiment & the butterfly (all stamps from Visible Image) with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I stamped the texture stamps on a white cardstock base and attached the butterfly with a silver eyelet.  I sponged the edges with the same inks to finish it off. Peace.

Thanks a Bunch!

Back to Monday! I had a fun weekend, I've stopped watching the news and instead have been visiting independent news organizations web sites to get any news I feel the need to see.  I don't feel the need to share any political opinions on my blog, but I am absolutely 100% independent and I think the state of all of it is just atrocious.  There are no good candidates.  There are very few good people/humans in politics.  It's extremely disheartening to me and I just wish we could have a complete do-over. I don't even know what that means.  I'm just tired of it all.  I think humans have lost their... humanity.  *sigh*

Anyway - back to the point of this blog.  I would like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Make My Monday #244 - Gnomes

Hand Stamped Sentiments - Sketch

Fab 'n' Funky - Include a Stamped Image

Crafts Galore Encore - Anything Goes

Tic Tac Toe #263 (I used Designer Paper, Red, Free)

OK so fun fact - I have always loved gnomes, and my mom knows that.  She buys me gnome stuff all the time.  One time, I was out shopping with her and we saw some gnomes and she says to me "Oh I think of you every time I see the GA-Nomes" - she literally said it like that, pronounced the G.  I almost peed my pants and I told my daughter about it and now we call them GA-Nomes. hee hee

I used papers from Doodlebug Designs. Stamps are from CC Designs, stamped with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I colored with alcohol markers, fussy cut and attached with foam dimensional tape. Peace.

I'm So Happy

I love Sundays. I try not to make any plans on Sundays if I can avoid it, it's my day to do whatever I want (which is usually crafting - LOL). Today I want to spend trying to use up some of my paper strips that are leftover from cutting my cards down to size. I'm sure I'll be sharing some projects later in the week with whatever I come up with!

I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

My Favorite Things - Sketch

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

If You Give a Crafter a Coookie - Hearts Galore

Festive Friday (Use at least 3 - I used red, heat embossing, hearts, cute animals)

I created my background by blending Distress Oxide Inks on watercolor paper and spraying with water.  I printed the heart out and then blended Candied Apple Distress Ink on it, and sprayed with water then fussy-cut. I stamped the dragon & heart (YUZU Darling Dragons set from My Favorite Things) with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I colored with alcohol markers and fussy-cut them, then attached with foam dimensional tape.  Peace.

Party Like a Flock Star

Popping in quick - I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Addicted to Stamps & More - Die Cuts/Stencils

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything Goes

Ellibelle's I Spy With My Little Eye - Something with Feathers or Fur

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #455- Sketch

My designer paper is from Crafter's Companion, The Tropical Collection.  I die-cut the leaves from the same paper pad. The stamp set I used is from Clearly Besotted, called Ring Around Summer (no longer available).  I colored with alcohol markers & white pen, fussy-cut, and attached with foam dimensional tape on top of the die-cut leaves. Peace.

Love - Polkadoodles Cutiepie Lil Miss Sugarpops

Hello friends!  We have some more inspiration for you at our current challenge at:

I used Cutiepie digi stamp - Lil Miss Sugarpops

I colored her with alcohol markers and used a little heart die-cut to replace the flower she's holding. I tend to hoard all of my scraps, so I had a plethora of strips of paper from which to choose for my paper weaving.  I used pieces of previously distressed cardstock with different colored inks blended all over them, and added some more die-cut hearts.  I like the "quilt" look of the mismatched papers!  I fussy-cut her out and attached her to a die-cut circle with foam dimensional tape then added some gemstone stickers and a sentiment sticker.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Thanks for visiting! Peace.

Gnome Love Always

Happy Friday! I'm having a birthday dinner for my good friend Kim tonight - I'm making her shortrib stroganoff with candied carrots. I'll probably whip up a chocolate lava cake, too - OK I'm getting hungry now.  LOL

Make My Monday #244 - Gnomes

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Have a Heart

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

Time Out Challenge #281 - Pick 2 Words (Love, Heart)

I created my background by blending Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink on watercolor paper, then using a heart stencil to apply Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink. I spritzed with water & dried, then sprayed some Yuletide Mica Spray Stain all over it.  I printed the Polaroid Gnomes from Miss Sandia's Ko-fi shop, colored with alcohol markers and white gel pens, and attached with foam dimensional tape. I used some text stamps from Recollections for the "love always". Peace.

Our Love is Written in the Stars

Everyone finally seems to be starting to get over all of these awful winter illnesses, thank goodness! My youngest granddaughter, Millie, has asthma so it's really scary when she gets respiratory illnesses!  Hubby and I are picking up our oldest granddaughter, Raeana, from kindergarten today and bringing her to her dance class and then out to eat! She's an absolute pleasure to spend time with and I love getting to do stuff like this with her!

I had fun making this card below for the following challenges:

Lawn Fawnatics #189 - Lots of Heart

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Have a Heart

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

Ellibelle's Corner - I Spy... Something with Feathers or Fur

Time Out Challenge #281 - Pick 2 (Love & Heart)

I created my background by simply spraying Gold Mica Spray Stain on watercolor paper.  I used Lindy's Magicals on another piece of watercolor paper and die cut a large circle from one piece, stamped the heart constellation on another and die-cut that, then used decorative scissors to cut a border from another piece.  I stamped some stars on them and layered a yellow piece of cardstock for the ground. I stamped the bunny & fox from Lawn Fawn's Upon a Star set with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder, then colored with alcohol markes, fussy-cut, and attached with foam dimensional tape.  Peace.

Live your dream with passion

Hi all!  We have a fun new challenge for you today at The Paper Shelter!  The theme is:  Pretty in Pink!

I used Ballerina, colored with alcohol markers and fussy-cut out.  I attached her with foam dimensional tape under a Polaroid die-cut.  My granddaughters are both into dance and I love watching them live their dreams with passion!  I will always encourage them to do the things that make them happy and not waste time on the things that don't.

Come play along with us for your chance to win some free digis from The Paper Shelter!

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Creations in Pink - Anything Pink Goes

Lil Red Wagon - Anything Goes

No Desire to Fit In

I've got 2 sick kids here while my daughter brings the 3rd to the doctor, so I'm popping in quick to post the card below for the following challenges:

Just Us Girls #759 - Stencil Week

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

Lift Challenge - Partial Die Cutting

Try Stampin on Tuesday - Sketch

The Color Hues Challenge #102

I created my background by blending Distress Oxide Inks on watercolor paper, then using a mermaid scale stencil to apply a darker blue oxide ink.  I used my Altenew Piped Waffle die and partially cut it out to fit the Lift challenge.  I used some sand dollar dies (the large one is from Simon Says Stamp here and I cannot for the life of me remember where the small one came from but SSS has the same big one in a smaller version also which you can find here) and then stamped Syren from The Greeting Farm with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I colored with alcohol markers and white pens, fussy-cut and attached with foam dimensional tape. I added some pearl stickers and text stickers to finish it off. Peace.

The Greeting Farm Guest Designer - Hocus Pocus

Hey friends!  I was so honored and flattered when I was asked to be a guest designer for the month of January for one of my very favorite stamp companies - The Greeting Farm!  I'm sad that this is my last post, but I honestly don't need a "reason" to play with my TGF stamps, so you'll definitely be seeing more anyway!  LOL

I'd also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything Goes

Try it on Tuesday - Oh What a Night!

Let's Craft & Create - Anything Goes

Just Us Girls #759 - Stencil Week

Two Old Bats - Anything Halloween

I used the Hocus Pocus Big Kit set to create my card - I love the Big Kits, they are so much fun to play with, I have about 10 of them!

I created my background by first blending Distress Inks through my Spellbinders Moon Phases stencil on watercolor paper, then I used the mask and blended purple & blue Distress Inks all around the moon, then misted with water and blotted with a paper towel. I stamped the bats, the gems, and the sentiment directly on the background. I stamped the witch with Versafine Black, embossed with clear embossing powder, and colored with alcohol inks.  I fussy cut her out and attached her with foam dimensional tape. And just in case she's not in the shop anymore, here's a direct link to The Greeting Farm shop main page.

And she looks so cute here on my shelf with all of my witchy things, I might just leave her here on display:

Thank you again to The Greeting Farm and Rosemary for having me - I thoroughly enjoyed it! Peace.
