Christmas in July!

Good morning! It's Christmas in July for a lot of challenges so I decided to play along! I'm not a HUUUUUUGE fan of making Christmas cards - Halloween is more my jam - but I do have some amazing stamps from Ink Road Stamps that make it a little more fun! ;)  hee hee

For my first card, I went with a less offensive sentiment for the following challenges:

Krafty Chicks - Christmas

Outlawz Christmas - Anything Christmas Goes

Creative Knockouts #574 - Christmas in July

Double Trouble #220 - Christmas in July 3-2-1

(I used both the optional twist of the stars and/or stripes and the dare of the sketch from TSOT)

Try a Sketch on Tuesday #699

I used old papers from Authentique to create the sketch background. I was surprised by how well the star/Patriotic papers worked for a Christmas card! I stamped the nutcracker and sentiment from Ink Road Stamp's Nutcracker set with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics, fussy cut the nutcracker and die cut the sentiment. I found this perfect little star brad in my stash to attach the sentiment with.

OK now if you're easily offended, just stop scrolling. LOL  Swear words below!!!

This next one is for a challenge blog that I am just so very thankful exists - LOL - I would have nowhere to enter these awesome cards if not for them! I'd like to enter this one into the:

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - Christmas in July

I used Lindy's Magicals on 2 pieces of watercolor paper - you'll never guess which color I used. Wanna guess?  I'll give you a second.

I used Impressionist Ink. This is one of my favorite shakers - I love that it looks completely different every time you use it!!!

Anyway - I stamped my Naughty Christmas Background stamp from Ink Road Stamps with Versafine Dazzle and embossed with clear sparkly embossing powder before applying the Lindy's to the 2nd piece of watercolor paper. I then die cut a tag from it and sponged the edges in black and attached with a large white brad. I stamped the sentiment from the Naughty List set at Ink Road Stamps with Versafine Black and embossed with the clear sparkly embossing powder. I sponged the edges of the card with black to finish it off. Peace.
