WW Reminder, JSL, & Simon Says Stamp

So busy these last few days, feel like I barely have time to think!  Really looking forward to getting away for some fun next week with the family.  Things have been bothering me lately, things that I don't normally let bother me.  Politics, people's opinions, just stuff that I normally let roll right off my back... I don't know, I'm just feeling overly sensitive lately.  I don't like to argue with people, I don't like to ruffle feathers or get people upset.  I believe everyone has a right to their opinion, but I get so tired of people using their "freedom of speech" to offend, insult, or hurt others.  And when I find myself wanting to lash out because I am hurt or upset at something that someone else said.... well, it makes me even more angry that I let someone get to me enough to want to stoop to that level.  I'm so much better than that, and I've worked hard over the past years to control my emotions and not let them run my life.  But in the end, I'm only human.  I get hurt, I get angry, and then I get over it.  :)  Because I know I'm a pretty damn good person, regardless of whether my beliefs match yours - politically, religiously, personally... whatever.  I can believe whatever I want, and so can you - but let's not throw it in each other's faces or use those beliefs to inflict pain on each other.
xoxo

All That Scraps - Anything Goes

Well, we picked up our girl and her friend Missy from the airport last night!  I am really looking forward to these next 2 weeks and I'm not sure if I mentioned it already, but we booked our rooms for Santa Cruz for next Wednesday night.  So excited!  And I think we are heading to the San Francisco Zoo on Monday - photo op!  :)

For today, I have a card for the:

I used Umbrella Lula, I just love her little ducky.  LOL  DP is from My Mind's Eye, I simply cannot enough of these little 6x6 paper pads!  I have to, like, force myself not to buy every single one I find.  hee hee  Sentiment is from By Lori Designs and the spare umbrella is a printable umbrella template I found online.
Peace.

Jellypark & Sassy Studio

Well hello there!  I'm so excited, I decided to book a facial for myself at a local spa in town!  I go tomorrow, so I'll be sure to tell you all about it.  I haven't done something like this in a long time - years.  Cannot wait!  If it goes well and I like it, I want to bring Cass in before school starts for a teen facial. And I could always go back for a neck & shoulder massage... hee hee

I made this card for the:

A Day for Daisies & Cheerful Stamp Pad

One of my best friends, An, has 2 phenomenal daughters who go above and beyond in the fundraising and helping others departments.  These girls are constantly devoting their time to some beneficial cause, which doesn't surprise me because their mom is pretty awesome too. She's like a sister to me, and I just love her.  This time it's Courtney who you can read about here.  Anyway, Courtney is collecting items for a raffle to benefit Malia Crushes Cancer (talk about a cutie!!!) so I made a couple sets of cards for her to raffle off.  I am entering my gift sets into the:

I used 4 different images from A Day for Daisies - here are the individual pics (each side has a different image):

There are 2 sets of 10 cards, the first set is a mixture of birthday, thinking of you, etc., and the 2nd set is a mixture of holiday cards (Valentine's Halloween, Christmas, etc.)

Next up is my card for our new challenge over at:

The Cheerful Stamp Pad - Silhouettes

I made this card for my dear friend Linda, whose dad passed away this past weekend.  I thought the silhouette image was a nice subtle image for a sympathy card.  My heart goes out to Linda and her family at this trying time, it's just never easy to lose a loved one and I really wish I could be there for her.  This is the first time I've said that about being back East and if there is anyone I'd want to go back for, it's Linda.  I love you, Linda!  xo
Peace.
