Green Goth Maiden

Hello all - I had a nice, relaxing weekend.  We're going away next weekend to Vermont for some cold-weather activities (as if Massachusetts hasn't been cold enough...), so I spent this weekend preparing a bunch of projects for the next couple of weeks.  Today's card was made for the Kit & Klowder Coloring Challenge on Facebook, there's a cool color palette to follow - and the image was a freebie from Ching Chou Kuik Digital Stamps called Green Goth Maiden.

Mashroom Girl

Hello friends!  This card is one of my recent favorites, I made it for the Facebook challenge at Ppinky's Dolls Official Group and I'd also like to enter it into the following challenges:




I used Mashroom Girl from Ppinky's Doll Art, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and with Stickles added to her hair ribbon, boots, dress, and the mushroom.  Papers are from My Mind's Eye.  The little mushroom brad is from my stash.  Ribbon is from Stampin' Up! and the text stickers are from Tim Holtz.  Peace.

Chi Chi Memories - Winter Shy Girl

Happy Friday!  
Today I'd like to share a card I made using one of the new release images at:

She's called "Winter Shy Girl" and you can find her here.  I colored her with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits, then fussy-cut her out and attached her with pop-up dots.  Papers are from My Mind's Eye, buttons are from Stampin' Up!  Those little "xo" stickers were in my stash.

Lucy Loo: Best Wishes

Good morning, happy Sunday!  My life has been a bit of a whirlwind lately - my 19-year-old daughter Cass recently moved in with her boyfriend, and I just found out that my 21-year-old son Trev is coming home from the Navy on an honorable medical discharge because he was diagnosed with migraines & sleepwalking due to an inability to adjust to life on a ship.  It's basically a mild form of PTSD due to stress.  He will be considered a veteran and receive all of the benefits as such. Although he is very disappointed (he actually loves the Navy), he is also looking forward to certain things.  So anyway, yesterday Cass came over and helped me to clean out her room - four hours or so later, and it's pretty much ready for it's next occupant.  LOL  It was just.... kind of crazy.  My girl living with her boyfriend and my boy coming home - if you had told me a year ago that this would be going on, I would have laughed at you.  :)  Trev is considering taking the civil service exam and starting the process to become a police officer.  I'll keep you all posted.  Thanks for your continued thoughts & prayers - he's in Japan right now and I have no idea how long it will be before he comes home.  From what I hear, it could be anywhere from a couple of weeks to several months!

So for today, I made a card for the following challenges:


I used Lucy Loo Pearl Necklace with Skull from The East Wind, printed on DP from My Mind's Eye and colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits then cut out using a die-cut from My Favorite Things.  The chipboard embellishments are also from MME - I added buttons from my stash.  Peace.

Goodbyes and Hellos! :)

Happy New Year!  I hope you all had a fun & safe celebration and that 2015 brings you nothing but health and happiness!

Today I have a couple of announcements: first, I'm stepping down as the Dilly Beans DT leader after 2 years of running the challenge blog.  I am not sure if Megan will keep it going, but if she does I'll definitely stay on as a DT member.  I love Dilly Beans and can't imagine not being a part of them since they've been such a big part of my life over the past 2 years.  I have made quite a few life-long friends and I'll forever be grateful for that for sure!  :)  Also, Jehanne from Just Some Lines has decided to close down the Just Some Lines challenge blog, as well.  Jehanne is an amazing artist and illustrator for children's books, and I wish her the best of luck with her artistic endeavors!  :)  These 2 companies have been a huge part of my life for the past couple of years, and I will miss that very much!

I'm happy to announce that I've joined the Chi Chi Memories Design Team!  I was thrilled when they asked me, it's always a real boost to your crafting ego when others like your work, isn't it?  So here is my first project, using the new release image Cute Little Girl:
