The image I used is called Ebony, and I colored it with a combination of Prismacolor markers, pencils, and mineral spirits and added lots of Frosted Lace Stickles.  I added a little mushroom brad I got from eyeletoutlet.com - text stickers are from Tim Holtz, papers are from My Mind's Eye and the little gemstone brads are from my stash.

Hippie Birthday!

Well, yesterday was quite an eventful day.  My husband was playing poker in a tournament, so I went to visit my parents for a bit.  My brother, who is 38 years old and a complete piece of crap, was skulking around making comments about how much my phone is worth (he's known for stealing from us and frequenting the local pawn shops with our belongings, so I try not to let him see that I have anything worth stealing...) and just generally making me uncomfortable and hate him even more...  *sigh*   OK deep breaths - so anyway, my nephew Eric (my sister's son, he's 23 years old) was there and needed a ride home to his house, which is about 1/2 hour away.  I offered to give him a ride home, and we left. We were talking about my brother and what a jerk he is, we were talking about when I showed up to be Eric's prom date (no kidding - long story - click here if you want to read it...LOL) and he said to me "Auntie, I'm so glad you did that - that was the best."  And I was driving and laughing and all of a sudden he started making this weird noise... and I look over, and he's having a seizure.  Eric has epilepsy, and I've only witnessed the after-effects of a seizure, I've never actually been there when he had one.  It was awful.  It was so scary to see someone I love so much look like that... I won't go into detail, but every time I think about it I just burst into tears.  :(  The thing is, I love this kid as much as my own - man, it was just terrifying.  There is nothing you can do except wait for it to be over.  Ugh.  My poor sister.  :(

Not So Icy...

Good morning!  Had a great time last night celebrating a friend's birthday at a local bar - lots of laughs, what more can you ask for? :)

The image I used is a new digi from The Greeting Farm called Icy... she comes with 3 snowflakes floating around her, but I fussy-cut them away from her and made her look hot instead... hee hee   I colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and added Lagoon Stickles to her dress, shoes, and eyelashes. Oh and also to the center of the silver flower brad (SU!). Papers are from my stash (someone sent me a little packet of papers I've been hoarding and these were from that stack). It's Your Lucky Day

Good morning!  I hope you're all having a fantastic weekend.  Last night Jeremy & I cooked lobsters at home and had a freaking feast.  It was awesome.  Tonight we're going out for a surprise 30th birthday party for a friend of mine, should be a lot of fun.  And tomorrow Jeremy is playing in a poker tournament for a fundraiser, so that should be fun too.  Busy weekend!  Today I have a card for our 4th week at the:

Jehanne created this adorable Emo Cowboy at my request - isn't he precious?  I colored him with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  I found the printable horseshoe by doing a Google images search and printed it on DP for the background.  Papers are from Carta Bella - dies are from My Favorite Things and the charm is from my stash (Joann Craft Store).  Peace.

Cloud 9.... and Oddball Stamps & The East Wind

Happy Friday!  I'm in such a great mood - yesterday I got 5 (yes, FIVE) letters from Trev!  LOL   He's been at Navy Basic Training for 3 weeks now and these were the first letters I got.  2 in one envelope, 3 in another.  And he sounds freaking fantastic in every one of them.  I was so relieved, happy, proud.... and I still am.  And if that wasn't enough, Jeremy & I are having LOBSTER today.  I am just not sure what could make this day any better.  Oh yeah - whoopie pies for dessert.  hee hee  ;)

Today I have 2 cards to share, both using images from companies that I just stumbled across over the past week!  This first one is for the:



The image I used is called Big Eye Girl Image set #29, and I colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Added some red Stickles, and printed the sentiment from TLC Creations on red cardstock.  Skully paper is from Tiddly Inks, ribbon is from my stash.

A Day for Daisies & From the Heart Easter Cards

I used Bunny Ears, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits - I paper-pieced her clothes and the bunny's ribbon.  Papers & ribbons are from Stampin' Up!  Gemstone stickers are from my stash.

I used Easter Bunny, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits, Prismacolor markers, and Stickles.  Paper is an old one from Stampin' Up! that I hoarded held on to.  ;)  Peace.

Sassy Studio Stuff :)

Hello there - back today with a new challenge at:

We're being sponsored by Sassy Studio this week and this adorable image is Cat Woman Sassy.  Background is a digi paper from Tiddly Inks, and I found the sentiment by doing a Google Image search for "meow".  :)  I colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and fussy-cut then attached Cat Woman with foam dimensional dots.

My TIP for Top Tip Tuesday:  Use colored glitter glues to change the look of your metal charms.  :)

I used Lucy Leprechaun, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits, Prismacolor markers, and Stickles. I added a gold ribbon and a metal shamrock charm that I covered in Firefly Stickles.  Peace.
