HDH MM Guest Designer & Cheerful Stamp Pad - Coming Up Orange

Happy Birthday to me!  hee hee  I was soooo excited when I was asked to be a guest designer for the Haunted Design House during the month of August, and thought it was really cool that my first guest spot landed on my birthday - today!  So here's my project for this week's new challenge:

HDH145 inspiration photo

I took a hardcover notebook and altered it into a Spells & Potions book:

I used some kraft DP from Tim Holtz, a key charm and gemstone stickers from my stash, skull image from Smeared Ink, book image from Tiddly Inks, and lots of Black Velvet Smooch Spritz.

Next up - we have a new challenge for you at:

I made a pair of ATC's with my images from our sponsor this week, Lunagirl, pre-colored and ready to create with!  I paired them with some great art quotes.

Peace.

WW ATC Reminder: Take Time for You!

I am sorta kinda feeling sorry for myself this weekend.  My birthday is Monday and I always make a big deal out of my birthday. I'm not the kinda girl who goes out and parties a lot, but I always go out with my hubby and friends on my birthday weekend, and we par-tay.  I always do stuff with my sister, whose birthday is 3 days after mine (one year later) and we have always just called it "our birthdays".  I always go shopping with my friend Linda, and she always takes me to lunch.  My mom always makes me a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate ice cream because one time, I made a joke about how could ANYTHING that's chocolate with chocolate and MORE chocolate not be the BEST birthday dessert ever?
*sigh*
So yeah, kinda feeling sorry for myself.  I think a girl deserves to do that every now and then.  I'll be OK, though.  I did talk to my mom today, who was super sweet and made me feel better.  Then my sister called me while hanging out with a mutual friend, and they made me giggle for a good 15 minutes.  So you know, life goes on.  I'll be OK.

So it's Saturday and I have our reminder post at:

I used Mermaids Love Bubbles from A Day for Daisies above, cropped her close and crooked and mounted the whole thing onto an ATC.  I colored with Stickles, Prismacolor pencils, and mineral spirits.

For my next ATC, I used Me Time Anya from The Greeting Farm, stamped onto glossy white cardstock that I had colored with alcohol inks and colored with Prismacolor markers:

Come see what the other girls came up with and join us at WW ATC Challenge!  Peace.

Dilly Beans: Sewn

So if you're reading my blog, you're probably one of "us"- someone who considers her fellow crafters/bloggers friends, real and true FRIENDS.  I can't even tell you how many times it's been one of you who have made me smile when I was feeling down or just let me vent without judgment... I'm really thankful for the friendships I've made in this little community of ours.  One of the people & groups I have grown close to is Megan and the Dilly Beans DT.  These ladies are so much fun to work with and have all become good friends of mine - thank you for being you, girls!

So we have a new challenge for you today and it's:

I prettied up my Dilly Beans Monster Boy image, printed him onto some sewing pattern kraft DP and drew eyelashes on him, then added glitter to his eyes and a bow to his hair.  hee hee  I printed out the text on the same DP and fussy cut each word, backed onto some black cardstock and attached with pop-up dots.  I poked holes along the edge of the card and drew lines for the faux stitching with my black pen.  Peace.

Poisoned Peas - Unusual Alice & HDH MM Freaker's Free For All

Hello - feeling kind of BLAH this week, dontcha hate that?  I do.  Blame it on the full moon.  I think maybe I'm feeling a little homesick/sorry for myself with my birthday coming up next week and being so far away from my friends and family.  :(  Anyway, I do have a card today for the:

and

I used Zombie Alice from Spesch and the sentiment is from Ginger's House.  Paper is a digi paper from Free Digital Scrapbooking.  I dripped some red ink on it and sprayed with Silver Foil Smooch Spritz.  Added a key charm, ribbon, and some pearl stickers.  Peace.

WW Take Time For You, Doodle Garden Summer Fun, & DICC Itinerary

Hello friends!  Lots of stuff going on today - first up is our brand new challenge at:

Our sponsor this week at WW is the adorable:

Claire very graciously supplied my team with the sweet Bath Girl image, and I cropped her close to create this little ATC.  Sentiment is a sticker from SRM Stickers.  Head on over to see the rest of the DT's work and to link up!

We also have a new challenge for you today at:

The Doodle Garden:  Summer Fun

The above card uses Sally Swimmer along with some beach accessories - everything is colored with Prismacolor markers.  DP are digi papers, banners are dies from My Favorite Things.

Our sponsor this week is:

I used her cute little "Life's a Beach" image to make this ATC, added a seahorse sticker and some gemstone stickers:

And last but certainly not least - we also have a new itinerary challenge for you over at:

Our sponsor this time around is the funky:

I just love her images so much, I was inspired to make 2 very different cards for this itinerary:

On my first card - I cropped the image closer and kept the colors black, red, and yellow.  DP, punches, and brad are from Stampin' Up!  Silver Foil Smooch Spritz was sprayed all over the card.
On my 2nd card, I went more girly with pinks and flowers, etc.  DP is from My Mind's Eye - bunting is from Jellypark.  Pink Bubblegum Glimmer Mist.  Head on over to see the itinerary and play along with us! Peace.
