Seas the Day

Hey everyone!  I have a teeny piece of advice for you:  If you have trouble with your teeth, DEAL WITH IT.  Do not be a big baby like me and avoid it.  I was scared to get a root canal many years ago so I had my tooth pulled instead (back molar).  I was told my bite would change, I thought that was bullsh*t so I just ignored it.  Fast forward to today - I cannot eat without biting my lip.  It is so annoying and painful.  Once I bite it, it swells up and then I cannot avoid biting it.  Take care of your teeth and get the stupid root canal if you need one!

Anyway, I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Use Dies in DieCember

Cut It Up #319 - Use More than One Die Cut

Creative Fingers - Anything Goes

PaperMinutes - No Christmas Card

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

I created my background with acrylic paints on my Gelli Plate.  I stamped the seashell castle onto the blue cardstock base, then die cut the gel print with an inlay die cut.  I stamped the mermaid (stamps from The Greeting Farm) with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder, then colored with alcohol markers. I used a second tab die cut to attach the sentiment to and stamped a tiny seahorse next to it. Peace.

Love and Joy

Happy Friday!  It rolls around so quickly each week, doesn't it? I have a busy weekend ahead of me, but I'm looking forward to it.  Shopping and lunch with one of my very best friends tomorrow and then my daughter and her kids are coming for family dinner Sunday.  I'm going to make gingerbread men with the kids, I can't wait!

I have to say that I have made FAR more Christmas cards this year than ever before, it's been fun. I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero December - Deck the Hall

Cut It Up #319 - Use More than One Die Cut

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Use Dies in DieCember

Creative Knockouts - Time to Be Merry

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything Goes

I created my background by blending Candied Apple Red Distress Ink on watercolor paper and heavily misting with water, then dabbing with a paper towel.  I die-cut 3 different trees (Hero Arts) from another piece of watercolor paper that I had blended shades of green Distress Inks on and misted with water.  I added some gemstone stickers and a holiday sentiment on kraft paper (this was from a sheet of kraft holiday sentiments freebie that was in a recent order I placed). Peace.

I created my background by using acrylic paints on my Gelli plate.  I then used an inlay die cut in the corner, then stamped my flower & SMILE stamps from Funky Fossils with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I stamped some texture circle stamps and hearts with pink ink randomly. Peace

Hang in there!

Taking a break from Christmas cards today!  I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Inky Paws #235 - Year End Cards

A Cut Above - Anything Goes with a Die Cut

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything Goes

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Use Dies in DieCember

I created my background by blending Distress Inks in various shades of green on watercolor paper, then I used a baby wipe to lightly wipe away some of the ink through a stencil.  I used coordinating inks with some water splashes on some regular cardstock and die-cut the leaves, then attached 2 of them with foam dimensional tape.  I stamped Newton & the "Hang in there!" with Versafine Black and embossed with a clear embossing powder, colored Newton with alcohol markers, fussy-cut and attached with a silver brad.  I printed out the "It's almost a new year!" on regular white cardstock, blended some ink on it, fussy-cut out, dragged edges through a black ink pad and attached with foam dimensional tape. Peace.

I created my background with some sparkly blue Lindy's Magicals on watercolor paper, then spritzed some Ranger Mica Spray Stain in Juniper Berry on it and use my air blower to blow the drops around. I then stamped the snowflake and sentiment from PinkFresh Designs directly on the background with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and edged the card with the same ink pad.  I added a few gemstone stickers for some extra sparkle. Peace.

Christmas Wishes

I have a full day planned in my craft room today, really looking forward to it! I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Die Cut Divas - Fance/Uneven Edge on Outside Edge of Card

A Cut Above - Anything Goes

Cut it Up #318 - Sparkle & Shine

AllSorts - It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas

We Love Stamping - Winter

I created my background by using Lindy's Magicals on watercolor paper, it's so sparkly and shiny - I love the way Lindy's Magicals work, see those spots of yellow? Those are from the lovely pigments in the powder - you never get the exact same look twice, and I just love that.  I used a die cut for the edge and let the cardstock base show through.  Stamps are from Tracey Hey, stamped with Versafine Black, embossed with clear embossing powder, and spot-colored with alcohol markers.  Peace.
