Designed2Delight, Desert Islands Crafts, and WW ATC Challenge

Happy February 1st!  We took Trev to meet with the Army recruiter again yesterday and it's starting to look like this is really going to happen.  I'm nervous, excited, happy, scared, sad, anxious, proud.... all at once.  Trev has to bring down copies of his ID's, high school diploma, etc., and do some paperwork later in the week.  Then within the next week or two, he'll go to Westover Air Force Base in Springfield, Massachusetts, and take the 3-hour ASVAB test, have dinner with the Army recruiters and potential recruits, and spend the night at a hotel with them.  The next morning, they wake him at 4:30 a.m. and have him do a physical, etc.  Then it's a waiting game - it could take up to 6 months to get shipped to boot camp, which is 9 weeks long.  In the meantime, he will have to meet with his recruiter every Thursday afternoon.  He's super excited about it - a little nervous, but in a good way.  I can't even put into words how proud I am of him.  If his great-grandfather could see him.... I can't even think about it without my eyes filling with tears.  I'll fill you in as we go along, that's for sure.  :)

The wonderful Faith at Designed2Delight has come out with some adorable new images, and is having a little linky party to show them off.  I just had to buy this sweet little "Love Bug's Heart Strings" image - here she is:
I colored her with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits and added some glitter.  DP is from My Mind's Eye.  Ribbon, brad, rub-on sentiment, and cardstock are from Stampin' Up!

Next up - guess what today is?  It is:

So guess what our challenge is all about?  Yup, you got it - BIRTHDAYS!  Click the link to see our itinerary and to link up for your chance to win a prize!  Here's what I came up with, using one of my beloved Saturated Canary images:

I colored "Ellie's Birthday" with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits.  DP is from My Mind's Eye, sticker sentiment is from SRM Stickers.  Ribbon tags were made with scraps of my ribbons.

And last but not least - just a reminder to go check out my new post at:

We have this adorable mermaid image from Just Some Lines as our prize this week - go play along and link up for your chance to win!  Have a great day, my friends!  Peace.
