ATS, Sentimental Sundays & Color Throwdown

Well, all the snow we got on Thursday has already melted, thankfully!  I spent yesterday cleaning, making a few cards and a batch of apple cinnamon muffins - yummmmm!  One of the cards that I had a blast making was this first card below.  I was pleasantly surprised at how it came out, I love when that happens!  This is for the:

I had never made a trifold card before, and I almost didn't try.  But then I thought "what the heck?  It's a CHALLENGE, it's supposed to be challenging!"  So I followed along with the tutorial they provided and voila!  Not as hard as I thought! I used Summer Honey and colored her with Prismacolor markers & Prismacolor pencils blended with mineral spirits.  I used blue and green cardstock from my stash, DP from Scrapbook Wizard, ribbon, glitter & button from SU! I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and try something different!  :)

Next is a card I made for the:

Color Throwdown Challenge #135

I used Landon, a digi image from By Lori Designs Puddle Jumpers line - he's colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Cardstock and DP from SU!  in Real Red, So Saffron, Basic Black and Very Vanilla. Ribbon is from my stash.

Peace.
