DYSU & Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge

I couldn't wait to ink up this adorable stamp called Leslie from The Greeting Farm's new Creepin' Kit!  I am using this card for the:

I love the colors on this - it's SU! Old Olive and Pretty in Pink.  Leslie is colored in with Prismacolors and mineral spirits.  I love how their eyes look when you color them - and what a different look you can get by changing up the colors!

Peace.

Lazy Sundays

I love lazy weekends. Cassidy and I are still trying to get over whatever sickness we have been fighting for 2 weeks, so we both decided to take it easy this weekend.  That's no easy feat for a 15-year-old girl!  LOL  She's such a good kid, though.  I really love when she hangs out with us.  Anyway, I made cards all day yesterday and plan to do so again today.

So today I have 2 cards for you, for 4 challenges.  The first one is for:

I used MelJen's adorable groundhog image with sentiment - both freebies.  Melissa is extremely generous with giving out freebies on her site - new ones are always available on Mondays. For this card, I used white brads, glitter, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White cardstock from Stampin' Up!  The paw-print paper is from Over The Moon Press and the little groundhog guy is colored with Prismacolors and mineral spirits.

Next up is a completely opposite card - this one's girly - and is for:

All That Scraps - Anything Goes

and

ABC Challenge - P is for Pink

For this one, I used one of the soon-to-be-retired digi angels from the Gingersnaps collection at All That Scraps.  If you want it - go get it here before it's gone.
I used ribbon, cardstock and background papers from SU!  Her dress, shoes, and hair bow are paper-pieced, her skin is colored with Prismacolors and mineral spirits.

Enjoy your Sunday!  Peace.

Michelle Perkett - DT Announcement!

I have some really exciting news to share... I'm happy to announce that I am now on the Design Team for Michelle Perkett Studio Designs!  Michelle is a very talented artist, a sweetheart of a person, and a Red Sox fan!  hee hee  I am really looking forward to working with Michelle and the rest of her awesome Design Team.  Yay!  :)

So for today, I figured it would be appropriate to share my card for the:

Michelle Perkett Studio Challenge - Buttons & Bows

I used the Queen of Hearts image from Michelle, isn't she beautiful?  She's colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits.  Buttons & ribbon from my stash.  I am looking forward to sharing lots more of Michelle's gorgeous designs with you!  Peace.

Tiddly Inks, Cute Card Thursday & Paper Playtime

Today is FrIdAy - yay!  I love Fridays - I don't even work outside the home right now, but Fridays are still my favorite day of the week.  I enjoy my quiet time while the kids are still at school, it's the night we almost always get take-out for supper, and I just love knowing that I don't have to wake up the next morning until I feel like it.  The funniest part is that I almost always get up at the same time, anyway - but it's still nice to know that I don't have to!  hee hee

I loved making this card, I paper-pieced her clothes and the cupcake, and I just think it came out so pretty - what do you think?  It's for:

I used this adorable digi image from the Tiddly Inks shop called Cheery Q.  The challenge was to use as many colors as you can - I wanted to do that without going too overboard and making it gaudy, so I used this colorful paper from SU! in Apricot Appeal, Green Galore, Gable Green, and Tempting Turquoise.  The brads and turquoise ribbon are from SU!  The striped ribbon is from my stash.

While I had this pretty paper out, I used this adorable digi image that I won from The Stamping Boutique to create a card for the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - Signs of Spring

and

Paper Playtime #40 - Digi Anything Goes

The image I used is called Rabbit in Egg - papers and inks are same as above.  I printed out the verse, tore the paper, and mounted with foam adhesive dots.  Bunny is covered in white Fun Flock.  Ribbon is from SU!
Have a great weekend, my friends.  Peace.

Stamptacular Sunday - Frame It!

My daughter Cassidy has been sick for over a week now, the poor kid spent the entire February school vacation home coughing and just feeling like crap.  She went to school on Monday but woke up Tuesday feeling even worse, so I kept her home and we finally went to the doctor.  What started as a cold or the flu had developed into pneumonia!  The poor kid, no wonder she felt so awful!  They gave her some antibiotics and she's finally starting to feel better.

For today, I have a card made with one of Michelle Perkett's cute images called Olive - this is for the:

I used SU!  designer papers and markers in Creamy Caramel, More Mustard, Taken with Teal, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, and So Saffron.  Buttons are from my stash. I'm also starting to feel a little better finally, so I hope to spend some time with my stamps today!
Peace.

Sweet Stop Sketch #97 & Papertake Weekly

I really stepped outside of my comfort zone with this one... hee hee... I stamped Tyler from the Greeting Farm's Creepin' Kit directly onto the Kraft (SU!) cardstock and just shaded/colored his hair and eyes.  Ribbon, circle punch & brads from SU! "Let's Jam" sentiment also from the Creepin' Kit  - this is for the:

I used Archival ink in Sepia to stamp and also to give the cardstock a distressed/aged look.  I rarely make boy cards, and I like the way this one turned out.  Peace.

By Lori Designs #6 & MelJen's ATC Challenge

You know what my favorite thing is about stamping and making cards?  There's almost no such thing as "ruining" something!  LOL  This card started off as something completely different, but I made a "boo-boo" and it turned into something else completely... but I'm just as happy with it!  LOL  This is for the:

I used one of the Puddle Jumper images and used her little doll as the main image on my card.  LOVE these images - and she's coming out with NEW STUFF in a week... drool.... ;)
I used Stampin' Up! cardstocks and designer papers in Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, and Whisper White, and the blue is from my stash because I didn't have any matching SU! blue.  Ribbons and polka-dot brads are all from SU!

OK - Next up:

MelJen's Challenge #47 - Create an ATC (Artist Trading Card)

I don't usually make ATC's, but they are quick and fun to make, the only "rule" being the size (2.5 x 3.5 inches) so I jumped onto this challenge, too.  I used this sweet MelJen's digi image of a heart with wings and colored it with Prismacolor pencils blended with Gamsol.  I used SU! Dazzling Diamonds glitter, SU! diamond gemstone brads and a silver glittery ribbon from my stash.

Peace.
