As crafters, we all struggle with thinking we're not "good enough" - am I right? I know I do! So when someone asks me to make them a special card, I'm always so honored! My friend Linda asked me to make a card for her granddaughter's 16th birthday - I came up with the card below, which I'd like to enter into the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Add a Number
Passion for Markers - Anything Floral
Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes
Seize the Birthday - No Topping
I created my background by ink blending Distress Oxide Inks in pinks all over a piece of watercolor paper, then spritzing with water and blotting with a paper towel. I die cut the deckled/stitched edge circles from the same papers, as well as the "16" numbers. I die cut the film strip from a piece of black cardstock. I printed out Rose & Thorns from Krista Smith/Saturated Canary (no longer in business), colored with Copics, and cut out in a square before attaching with foam dimensional tape. Finished off with some pearl stickers. Peace.
Lovely girly birthday card for a 16 year old, I’m sure your friend's granddaughter will love it! Thanks for playing along with our Anything Goes challenge at Seize The Birthday.
