I have all kinds of exciting news to share today! First off, I was asked to be a guest designer at Smeared & Smudged, which means I get to host their October challenge! The theme I chose is:
Nursery Rhymes or Fairy Tales with a Dark Twist
I decided to alter this little memento box that I got at Michael's for a penny. Yes, a penny. :) Here it is:
And here's what I turned it into with some Gesso, sprays and spritzes, and images:
I used the Killer Bo Peep set from Smeared Ink and a little bat from Stamp Insanity. I fussy-cut the fence twice, and folded the edge down to let it stand up and away from the back of the box. I glued the sheep to the back of the box, along with the moon, bat, and sentiment. Bo Peep is adhered to the fence, along with the crow.
Along with that cool Smeared & Smudged guest spot came a chance to guest design for the Smudgy Antics challenge blog. How cool is THAT?!? So for my first guest spot of the month, the theme is "Dance with Death" and I used their awesome Dance with Death 2 digi image:
I paper pieced the image with DP from MME. I used Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits for the woman, and a marker on the flower in her hair. I added a ribbon and a skeleton key charm.
We also have a new challenge for you today at:
Head on over to see the itinerary and to play along for your chance to win a prize from our sponsor, Floppy Latte Designs.
