Happy Friday peeps! Head on over to A Day for Daisies to play along in a little blog hop/challenge today! They have a fun new release and some inspiring eye candy!
We have a new challenge for you at:
Dilly Beans Challenge: Pink & Purple
I made an Altered Coaster Cube, and here are my pics:
I am also entering this into the:
Party Time Tuesdays - Halloween Challenge
The deets: I used the following Dilly Beans images printed on plain old copy paper - Sugar Skull, Skellies, and Skull Squares 1 - 4. I printed out the text in my word processing program. I colored the images with Prismacolor markers and fussy-cut them out. I painted my coasters with Gesso, then spritzed & sprayed them with pink & purple Glimmer Mist and Jet Black & Silver Foil Smooch Spritzes. Once dry, I used Mod Podge to apply the images and then added Stickles in pink and purple and let that dry. Then came the assembling into a cube. Oy vay. It was not easy. LOL Luckily, a friend of mine had given me a TON of these coasters, so what I ended up doing was attaching a bunch of them together into a square/cube, then adding the altered pieces one at a time with more Mod Podge and using a heavy bottle to weigh it down and make them stick. It did come out cute, if I do say so myself, but it was very time-consuming.
