Hello there! I love long weekends, spent yesterday doing some grocery shopping, cleaning, etc. - I've been working on a new blog, too - I'm going to be starting my own challenge blog on Wednesday. It's going to be a challenge blog specifically for ATC's, or Artist Trading Cards. I will tell you a little more about it and give you a sneak peek of the blog on Monday. The first challenge will go live on Wednesday - I hope you will come back and check it out and play along! :)
For today, I have a card for the following challenges:
I used "Loreley Stars and Fish" - I fussy-cut out the moon and then used a bat image from Limited Run to layer over the missing pieces of the moon - trying to make it appear as though the bat is flying in front of the moon. :) The sentiment is also from Limited Run. Cardstock, DP, and brads from SU! Ribbon and gemstone stickers are from my stash.
Next up - time for another challenge over at the Just Some Lines blog! I'm hosting the challenge this week and I chose the theme of "Reminds Me of a Song." I used Nature Child 1 because her hair reminded me of the song "Going to California" by Led Zeppelin:
Specifically, this image reminds me of the lyric from the song that goes "Someone told me there's a girl out there, with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair." I decided to make an ATC (above) and a card:
I colored her with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and added some colorful fiber and a gemstone sticker. DP is from My Mind's Eye, brads are from my stash. Simple but pretty, I think. Please come join us for the chance to win $12 in images from the Just Some Lines shop! Peace.
