Falling For You!

Gooooood morning!!!  We have a gorgeous new color challenge for you today at:

Color Dare #715

I loved this color combo - it wasn't one that I would normally use but might be one I'll go for more often now! I used Distress Oxide Inks in Bundled Sage, Tattered Rose, and Stormy Sky ink smooshed on a piece of watercolor paper to create my background. I stamped the falling cards directly on the background, stamped the falling Alice (Simon Says Stamp Par-Tea set) with Versafine Black, embossed with clear embossing powder, fussy cut and attached with foam dots. I die cut the sentiment with a die from Emily Moore Designs Decorative Sentiment Dies.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything Goes

Paper, Rocks, Scissors #19 - AG with Paper/Scissors

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

Make My Monday - Wedding/Love

Thanks for visiting!  Peace.

Magic - Creative Artiste Guest DT

Hello again! I'm back as the guest designer for this month at the

Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge!

I made an art journal page, I love using mixed media in my art journal!

I love the way an art journal page comes together - slowly layering inks, stamps, stencils, and more - until you feel like it's becoming what you envisioned. Or not! LOL I used yellow inks to create the "full moon" and then applied Black Soot Distress Oxide ink through a moon stencil I have, leaving the yellow glow around it and laying some crackle paste through the scene and then sponging more yellow on that. I then used some Versafine Black through a moth stencil and embossed it with clear sparkly embossing powder. I used some die cut trees (Tall Evergreen Tree dies from Memory Box) that I cut out of text paper, and the Magic die cut sentiment (I used both the positive and negative dies from that one) from the Fun with Words 2 die set at Whimsy Stamps. The witch clipart is from ThePrintablesWtch on Etsy.  I added random stenciling, stamping, and spritzing with gold Mica Spray. I was quite pleased with the end result BUT - this was my 2nd try. LOL  The first page I made did not come out AT ALL like I pictured it. I was still happy with it, but it wasn't what I wanted. You know what I mean?  But that's what I love about my art journal - it's just a learning process and I can use that page to look back and reflect on how sometimes things come out nice even if it's not what you were expecting!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Passion for Markers - Favorite Embellishments (die cuts)

Two Old Bats - Anything Halloween Goes

Outlawz Anything But a Card

Outlawz Main August Linky

A Cut Above - AG/Optional Fall Twist (must use die cuts)

Thank you for visiting! Peace.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge #786 - AG/Summer or Vacation/Holiday

Hey friends - guess what?  It's my birthday today!  Double nickels, as my friend Tim says. 55. Moving closer to 60 now than 50... only slightly terrifying. hee hee In true Leo fashion, I celebrate my birthday most of the month so I'll be having a fun weekend full of a seafood boil, friends, family, and fun! :)

We have a new challenge for you today at:

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Anything Goes or Summer/Holiday

Our sponsor this time is:

The image I used is called Sweet As Melon:

I created my background by spraying Cocktail Party Mica Spray Stain on a piece of watercolor paper. Once dry, I applied Walnut Stain Distress Ink through my Diamond Circle stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use code JennFan10 for 10% off) because I thought the pattern reminded me of the watermelon seeds! I printed out the image, colored with Copics and Stickles and used a die cut to cut out, then attached with foam tape after sponging the edges with the Walnut Stain ink. I added a little sentiment from my stash.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Papercraft Challenge #132 - Good Enough to Eat

Try it on Tuesday - Make it Colorful

AllSorts #855 - AG/Optional Colors of Summer

Wednesday's Creative Inspiration - Anything Goes

Paper Funday #90 - AG/Optional Fancy Folds

Thanks for visiting! Peace.

With Love

Today I'm showcasing the Mid Century Breeze Blocks Mask stencil from the August release at A Colorful Life Designs. Don't forget to use code JennFan10 for 10% off your order!

This was a reverse image print of the stencil, and I loved the background so much that I wanted to keep the focus on it. I die cut a heart from a scrap of another piece I had used the same color on and added a simple text sticker.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Time Out #319 - Pick 2 (I used monochrome and CAS)

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Monochrome

Stencil Fun - AG/Clean and Simple

AAA Cards - Starts with S (stencil!)

Thank you for visiting! Peace.

It's Not Easy Being Green

I wanted to get this posted today before I head out - I love the free image challenges at Conjurer of Dreams, they are a fantastic group to play along with! This is my entry for the:

Conjurer of Dreams Tag Challenge

Wednesday's Creative Inspiration - Anything Goes

A Place to Start - Anything Goes/No Rectangles

Girlz and the Art of Letters - F is for.... FROG!

I used my Luggage Tags Wafer Dies from Simon Says Stamp - the hot pink one was stenciled with translucent crackle paste and then rubbed with a black ink pad. I printed out the free image from CoD that was required for this tag and used the smaller luggage tag die to cut him out. I printed out the sentiment and die cut it with my Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting Dies from Unity Stamp Co. Peace.

I pulled a background from my stash and used cardstock in a coordinating color (Taken with Teal from SU!) for the die cuts. I added a piece of Washi tape across the card for Cheeky to "sit" on. I used the Cheeky Kitty digi from The Greeting Farm, colored with Copics and fussy cut, then attached with foam tape. Sentiment is from the Roadies Volume 70 set at Ink Road Stamps, die cut with one of the dies from the Decorative Sentiment Dies set at Emily Moore Designs. Peace.
