April Showers

Hello there - it is absolutely beautiful out today.  Finally!  We had the windows open and I crafted all day and then I took a break and we went for a ride to get ice cream.  This is one of the cards I made today:

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

I used Girl in Umbrella from Chi Chi Memories, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and I paper-pieced her umbrella.  Papers are from My Mind's Eye - I added a little flower charm & pearl stickers for embellishments.  Sentiments are from SRM Stickers.  Peace.

Smile - SLS Lines

I love Saturdays.  I love weekends, but Saturdays are my favorite. Today I'm making some cards and waiting for my sister to stop by with a yummy fatoush salad from this restaurant we like, El Basha.  I'm practically drooling in anticipation so I guess I'll blog today's card while I wait!  :)  This is for the following challenges:

I used Voodoo King Skull, Day of the Dead from SLS Lines.  I colored him with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits, a touch of markers, and some glitter.  Papers are from We R Memory Keepers.  Alpha stickers are from Colorbok.  Peace.

Pura Vida

Hello there - today we have a new challenge for you at:

I'd like to enter my ATC into the following challenges:

So as you can see, I created an ATC with a folded cover.  Our sponsor this week is DRS Designs and I loved this little pig with the grass skirt.  LOL  Papers are some old ones from Stampin' Up!  The sentiment is a tribute to a couple of great guys who live in Costa Rica, Keith & Al.  :)  Peace.

Some Bunny Loves You

Good morning!  Today I'd like to share a creation I made for my DT post at:

http://digimyworld.blogspot.com/

I'd also like to enter this into the following challenges:

This adorable image is from a set called Bunny Suit Samantha (Digi My World) - I colored her with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and paper-pieced her outfit, bunny ears, hair bows, and the egg.  Papers are from Authentique - paper flowers/pearl stickers are from my stash and I made the sentiment with my Dymo Caption Maker.  Peace.

A Beautiful Soul

Hello there!  Today I'm heading to a memorial service, a very good friend of mine lost his younger brother a few weeks ago.  These things always make me want to tell the people I love how much they mean to me.  I encourage you all to do the same.

This card was actually made for a friend of mine at work, Ruthie, who lost her dad suddenly. He loved Hawaii and had a place there, so I used that theme for the card I made for Ruthie.  I always try to focus on the good, the happy memories and the things that make us smile when we think about someone we've lost.  Here's the card:

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

The image is from Make it Crafty, and I colored it with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits. I added Stickles glitter to the seashells and glued 3 real seashells onto the corner.  Papers are from My Mind's Eye. Peace.

Wicked Wednesday & Oddall Art New Release

Good morning!  Happy April Fool's Day!  Do you know the history behind this silly holiday?  Click here to read all about it - it's actually quite interesting!  We have a new challenge for you today at:

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge: April Fool's or Your Favorite Holiday

I'd like to enter this ATC into the following challenges:

Our sponsor is Creepie Cute Stamps and I used my new paper pad from Authentique for the background, then colored the image to match.  Inked the edges of the ATC and added the "April Fool" sentiment with Tim Holtz alpha stickers.

Next up - we have a new release and a new DT introduction at:

I'd like to enter my creation into the following challenges:

The image I used is called Simon Owl Heart #189 and I colored  him with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  This is a special birthday card for a very special young lady in my life - her name is Paige and she's turning 16 on April 14.  Her mom Donnell was a good friend of mine and she passed away in November of 2013 after battling ovarian cancer.  Eleven years after losing her baby Kaitlyn to cancer, and I just think that is one of the most unfair things I've ever heard, but it happened and she's the reason I got this tattoo on my left arm last Fall (the teal ovarian ribbon is in memory of Donnell & the little gold ribbon is in memory of Kaitlyn):

Anyway, I used my favorite new paper pad from Authentique on this card along with some coordinating cardstock stickers, then finished it off with some black pearl stickers and hot pink gems.  I'm sending it to her next week along with a bracelet I found that has the same quote as the card - She Believed She Could, So She Did.  Thanks for visiting!  Peace.
