HDH Macabre Monday: Creepy Cryptids

Did you all have a happy and productive World Card Making Day?  I didn't get quite as much done as I had hoped, but it's all good.  I did manage to get a few fun pieces made, one of them being this card for the:

The deal was to make something based on a creature that is thought to exist although there is no proof.  So - zombies exist, no?  Depends on who you ask.... creepy!  My zombie is from Saturated Canary.  :)
Peace.

Hello friends - happy

I had a blast coloring this awesome skull image from our sponsor, A & T Digital Designs - I added a piece of ribbon with a skeleton key (hee hee - love that) tied on it, some word stickers, and a few gemstone stickers.

And my next ATC uses an image from Smeared Ink:

I colored my image with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  DP is from MME - ribbon is from my stash.

Happy Friday peeps!  Head on over to A Day for Daisies to play along in a little blog hop/challenge today!  They have a fun new release and some inspiring eye candy!

We have a new challenge for you at:

Dilly Beans Challenge: Pink & Purple

I made an Altered Coaster Cube, and here are my pics:

I am also entering this into the:

Party Time Tuesdays - Halloween Challenge

The deets:  I used the following Dilly Beans images printed on plain old copy paper - Sugar Skull, Skellies,  and Skull Squares 1 - 4.  I printed out the text in my word processing program.  I colored the images with Prismacolor markers and fussy-cut them out.  I painted my coasters with Gesso, then spritzed & sprayed them with pink & purple Glimmer Mist and Jet Black & Silver Foil Smooch Spritzes.  Once dry, I used Mod Podge to apply the images and then added Stickles in pink and purple and let that dry.  Then came the assembling into a cube.  Oy vay.  It was not easy.  LOL  Luckily, a friend of mine had given me a TON of these coasters, so what I ended up doing was attaching a bunch of them together into a square/cube, then adding the altered pieces one at a time with more Mod Podge and using a heavy bottle to weigh it down and make them stick. It did come out cute, if I do say so myself, but it was very time-consuming.

Next up - we have a new challenge for you at:

I am also linking  this one up to the:

I used Breakthrough Breast Cancer 'Song in Your Heart' from Jellypark - all proceeds from the sale of this adorable image will be donated to the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Charity.  Peace.

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge: Flowers with a Dark Twist/Emerald Faeries, Paper Pretties & Stamp N Doodle

I am super excited this morning - my hubby and I are heading into San Francisco in a few hours to pick up my best friend from the airport!  His name is Tim and he's coming to stay with us for a week.  I spent hours cleaning yesterday - he's allergic to cats and we have 2, so I did the best I could do make sure there's no lingering cat hair around!  We are going to do lunch in the city somewhere and then come back to our house for the day.  We don't have a lot of big plans, but we do want to take him for a ride up north on Route 1, there are so many gorgeous things to see.  I'm giddy!  :)

We have a new challenge for you today over at:

Head on over to see the rest of the gorgeous creations from my fabulous DT and to play along with us!

I used a playing card (my recycled object) to create this ATC.  Image is from A&T Emerald Fairies Digi Stamps.  I am also entering this into the following challenges:

A and T Emerald Faeries - Flowers
and

Paper Pretties - Flowers
and
Stamp N Doodle - Use Something Recycled

Have a great day!  Peace.

Simply Betty Secret Pumpkin Blog Hop

Welcome to the Simply Betty Secret Pumpkin Blog Hop, you should have arrived here from Trish's blog.  If you get lost, here's the full hop list:

My Secret Pumpkin turned out to be... Rio!  Rio packed a pumpkin full of Simply Betty stamps, some really cool Halloween DP, Halloween socks, a little vampire sock puppet guy, and lots of chocolate.  Thank you, Rio!

Your next stop on the hop is Christina - have fun hopping!  Peace.

Smeared & Smudged, Smudgy Antics, DICC

I have all kinds of exciting news to share today!  First off, I was asked to be a guest designer at Smeared & Smudged, which means I get to host their October challenge!  The theme I chose is:

Nursery Rhymes or Fairy Tales with a Dark Twist

I decided to alter this little memento box that I got at Michael's for a penny.  Yes, a penny.  :)  Here it is:

And here's what I turned it into with some Gesso, sprays and spritzes, and images:

I used the Killer Bo Peep set from Smeared Ink and a little bat from Stamp Insanity.  I fussy-cut the fence twice, and folded the edge down to let it stand up and away from the back of the box.  I glued the sheep to the back of the box, along with the moon, bat, and sentiment.  Bo Peep is adhered to the fence, along with the crow.

Along with that cool Smeared & Smudged guest spot came a chance to guest design for the Smudgy Antics challenge blog.  How cool is THAT?!?  So for my first guest spot of the month, the theme is "Dance with Death" and I used their awesome Dance with Death 2 digi image:

I paper pieced the image with DP from MME.  I used Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits for the woman, and a marker on the flower in her hair.  I added a ribbon and a skeleton key charm.

We also have a new challenge for you today at:

Head on over to see the itinerary and to play along for your chance to win a prize from our sponsor, Floppy Latte Designs.
