A Colorful Life Designs - January Release: All About Love

The January release at A Colorful Life Designs is all about love and new beginnings! Purchase one of the Master Creator Bundles and save 20%! AND - you can use code JennFan10 for 10% off your entire order!

There are 3 Master Creator bundles, and this one is my favorite! Visit the site to see them all and stock up on some new stencils!

I created my background by applying Lindy's Magicals to a piece of watercolor paper. I let it dry and then I applied Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink heavily through my Love Waterfall stencil. I used a previously distressed scrap to die cut the word LOVE from and attached it with foam dimensional tape. I stamped the adorable little piggy from the Mr. Cupid set from Paperie Ink Stamps with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics and Stickles, fussy cut, and attached with foam dimensional tape.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Moving Along with the Times January - Stencils and/or Dies

Stencil Fun - Anything Goes/Optional Anything with 4 Legs

AllSorts #840 - Anything Goes/Optional Winter Animals (I mean, a Valentine pig is a winter animal, right?!?)

I Love ProMarkers - Anything Goes or Fairytale

Paper Funday - Anything Goes/Optional Sketch

Peace.

Peace & Love

Hi all!  I have quite a few cover plate dies, but I don't pull them out often enough!  So the challenge this week at JUGS was the perfect excuse to grab them and get creating!  Here is my 2nd entry, I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Just Us Girls #804 - Die Week/Coverplate

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Add a Sentiment

We Love Stamping - Anything Goes/Optional Something New

A Cut Above - Anything Goes with Die Cuts

Inkspirational #358

I started with a black card base. I blended Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink on a piece of watercolor paper and used my new Heart Spotlight Cover Plate Die from Pink & Main on it. I took the heart cut-out and stamped "Peace & Love" (from the Winter Fox stamp set from Creative Expressions) with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder, then attached it off-set with foam dimensional tape. I printed out Peace Out Selfie from Krista Smith (no longer in business) and colored her with Copics. I fussy cut her and attached her with foam dimensional tape. I finished it off with a bunch of clear rhinestone stickers. Peace.

I started out by taking a piece of watercolor paper and applying Scorched Timber Distress Oxide ink all over it. I spritzed it with water and let it dry, then ran it through my Big Shot with a wood-grain embossing folder. I then used my new Dies to Die For Chicken Wire & Wood Frame cover plate die - I die cut it from white cardstock and then applied Scorched Timber Distress Ink around the wooden edges and sprayed some silver Mica Stain on the chicken wire. I attached the whole thing to a red card stock base and sponged black ink on the edges, then roughed them up with my scissors. I stamped the adorable chicks and eggs/nest from Paperie Ink Stamps Chicken In set with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics, fussy cut them, and attached them all with foam dimensional tape. I stamped the sentiment along the top of the frame. Peace.

Polkadoodles New Challenge - thanks!

Heyyyyy all!  The Polkadoodles DT is back with a brand new challenge to ring in 2026!  Come play along for your chance to win a $20 voucher or one of TWO $10 vouchers!!!

I used a fun yellow gingham digi paper from Polkadoodles for my background, and I applied my Double Honeycomb stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use code JennFan10 for 10% off!) to it in a diagonal strip to create dimension and flow. I used a tag die cut on a piece of cardstock attached with an old flower brad in my stash. I printed out Buzzing Around Bee Buzzy Gnome digi stamp twice. I die cut the first one with a stitched edge rectangle die and then I fussy cut the 2nd one. I colored with Copics and Stickles and I layered the fussy cut images (mushroom & bee) on top of the die cut with foam dimensional tape. I added a sentiment sticker along the bottom and sponged ink around the edges of the card.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Krafty Chicks #801 - Birthday

I created my background by applying Villainous Potion Distress Oxide Ink through my mermaid scale stencil on watercolor paper. I used the same color all over another piece of watercolor paper and used the Reverse Scallop Circle die layered over another piece of watercolor paper that I applied Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink to. I spritzed with water and stamped the waves in the same color. I stamped the mermaid from Let's Make Waves/Pink & Main with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I colored with Copics and fussy cut her, then attached her with foam dimensional tape. I stamped the sentiment out and cut it out with wave scissors, then attached with foam dimensional tape. Finished it off with some purple rhinestone stickers. Peace.

I just LOVED the AAA Colourful photo inspiration this time! I loved playing with these colors - for this one, I used Distress Oxide Inks in Peacock Feather, Cracked Pistachio, and Salvaged Patina. I spritzed with water and blotted with a paper towel, then I applied Peacock Feather through a gear stencil along the top of the card base. I die cut the keyhole frame and the key (Whimsy Stamps). I printed out Alice from Whimsie Doodles (no longer in business) and colored with Copics and glitter, I fussy cut her and attached her with foam dimensional tape. I added a bunch of rhinestone stickers and a sentiment sticker to finish it off. Peace.
