Make a Wish

Hello all!  I'm picking up my granddaughter from school this afternoon for her birthday sleepover tonight.  She's turning 6 tomorrow - she's my oldest, first grandchild and I just love watching her grow from a baby to an independent little girl. I'm so thankful that we have such a close bond!

I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Di's Digi Designs - Hand Colored Image

Dragonfly Dreams - Use Pinks & Purples

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Anything Goes

Crafts Galore Encore - Anything Goes

I created my background by blending pink & purple Distress Inks on watercolor paper, then splashing water on it and dabbing with a paper towel. Image is a digi from Di's Digi Designs, colored with alcohol markers.  I stamped Make a Wish directly on the background paper with Distress Ink then embossed with clear embossing powder.  I added some gemstone stickers to finish it off. Peace.

Feelings of Power...

 Happy Sunday!

I'd like to enter the card below, which I made for my plant-addict daughter (hey, there are certainly worse things to be addicted to!), into the following challenges:

Stencil Fun - Anything Goes

Cut it Up #321 - Something New (brick stencil)

A Cut Above - Anything Goes

Die Cut Divas - Something New (brick stencil)

We Love 2 Create - Anything Goes

I created my background by blending gray ink through a brick stencil on watercolor paper.  I used die cuts, cut from scraps of previously distressed watercolor paper (or Kraft cardstock), from the Crafter's Companion Garden Collection House Plants and Pots and Planting Stations. The sentiment is a stamp from Ink Road Stamps, stamped with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. Peace.

Happiness is Coming Your Way

Good morning friends!  I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Altenew January 2025 Inspiration Challenge

Beautiful Blossoms - Anything Floral Goes

If You Give a Crafter a Cookie - Anything Goes

As You Like It - Favorite Paper Brand and Why

(I love Stampin' Up! cardstock because it's heavy, good quality, and dyed all the way through so no white spots if you tear, etc.)

Cardstock is from Stampin' Up!  I printed my image from Altenew, colored with alcohol markers and matted on plain cardstock.  I then cut the Piped Waffle Die from Altenew and layered it under the image. Peace.

Midnight Minx & Proud Hooligan

Hello friends!  Here's your yearly reminder to schedule your mammogram if you haven't already! I am going for mine at 4:00 this afternoon.  I've got 2 friends who are currently fighting breast cancer and several more who have had to in the past, I don't mess with this stuff. Just do it!

I have 2 cards to share today!  Here is the 1st one:

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Color Throwdown #824

Make My Monday #242 - Fave 2024 Challenge (Wild Animals)

Just Us Girls #757 - Word Week (Masculine)

I created my background by blending a light gray ink through a moon phases stencil.  My stamps are from Funky Fossil - stamped directly on the background with Versafine Black and embossed with a sparkly clear embossing powder.

.................................................................................................

And here's my 2nd card for today:

I'd like to enter this one into the following challenges:

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - Never Been Used Before (stamp set)

The Crafter's Cafe #314 - Monochrome

The Paper Funday #72 - Anything Goes/Optional Monochromatic

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Something New

I created my background by blending several shades of brown Distress Inks on watercolor paper and spritzing with water.  I stamped my Hooligan (Ink Road Stamps) on Kraft Paper with Scorched Timber Distress Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I fussy-cut him and attached him with foam dimensional tape to a strip of Kraft cardstock. Peace.

One Good Friend

I just have to address the fires in California right now - I am SO SORRY to any of you who are affected in any way at all.  It's absolutely heart-breaking.  I lived in Northern California for a few years and the house I lived in burned down a few years ago.  My cousin currently lives in the LA area and I cannot imagine how terrifying it must be.  It was traumatic for me just imagining if we hadn't moved... my heart goes out to everyone there as well as their families and friends who are worried about them.

I would like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Something New (new digi!)

Digi Choosday - Challenge 50, Week 4 - Anything Goes

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

Let's Craft & Create - Anything Goes/Optional Use a Sentiment

Festive Friday - Inspo List (I used brown, yellow, red, coloring techniques, bears, friend sentiment)

I created my background by blending Distress Inks on watercolor paper and then using a baby wipe through a stencil.  I printed out this adorable bear from Stuff Deluxe and colored him with alcohol markers, fussy-cut and attached with foam dimensional tape.  I tied a ribbon around it and stamped the sentiment directly on the background with Black Versafine ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  Peace.

Don't Just Fly & Hoeing Ain't Easy

Good morning!  I have been so busy in my craft room, today I have 2 cards to share.  For my first card, I would like to enter it into the following challenges:

Path of Positivity

Critter Crazy - Anything Goes with Featured Critter

Let's Craft & Create #215 - Anything Goes/Optional Cheers to You (Use a Sentiment)

We Love Stamping - Anything Goes/Optional Anything but Square

AAA Card Challenge #281

I'm getting more comfortable with the clean and simple style!  This adorable stamp set is called Oceans to Fly from Colorado Stamp Company.  I stamped the sentiment & bear directly on a white cardstock base. I stamped the plane on a separate piece of white cardstock, colored with alcohol markers, fussy-cut and attached with foam dimensional tape.  I love the way you can see the shadow of the plane!

And this next card is for the following challenges:

Just Us Girls - Die Week

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Something New (the stamp set)

Make My Monday - Favorite Challenge of 2024 (#221 - Spring Flowers)

Colorful Options - Yellow, Purple, and Green

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - N is for NBUS (Never Been Used Stuff)

A Cut Above - Anything Goes

Sweet Sketch Wednesday Retro Sketch #25

I created my background by blending Distress Ink on watercolor paper and then blending a darker shade of Distress Ink through a harlequin stencil.  I used the same darker shade to blend on another piece of watercolor paper and cut a frame out of it.  I used some scraps of previously distressed paper for the die-cut leaves.  I used a circle punch for the yellow circles behind the image. The "Hoeing Ain't Easy" stamp is a new set I got from Ink Road Stamps (currently on hiatus but they WILL be back) that I had not previously used before. Everything was attached using foam dimensional tape. Peace.
