Find Your Tribe - Love Them Hard

Another busy week! That's OK though - staying busy keeps me out of my head. I always crash after the holidays and I expect this year to be no different. BUT - I have those little pumpkins (grandkids) to dote on and I fully intend on having sleepovers and spending as much time as I can with them during their breaks from school! I talk about them a lot so I wanted to share a picture of them - they just started dance, first time for Millie.  LOL  This is my Lisey (5) and RaeRae (6):

And this is my lil Millie (3):

Aren't they just the cutest?  hee hee  :)  I might be a bit biased!

On to business!  I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Addicted to Stamps - Make Your Mark

Crafts Galore Encore - Anything Goes

Double D - Make Your Own Background

Passion for Markers - Animal Friends

Colorful Options September - Mood Board OR Rainbow

I created my background by flicking Distress Spray Stains in the colors from the mood board (yellow, red, orange, blue) all over a piece of watercolor paper. I stamped the elephant and bird (Tracey Hey - My Tribe) with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored them with Copics, fussy cut, and attached with foam dimensional tape. I then die cut the sentiment (from the same stamp set) and layered it on a piece of cardstock that I distressed with yellow Oxide Ink.  Peace.

So Thankful for Sweet Friends Like You

Life is always a whirlwind for me at this time of year. Today I'm going to visit the grandkids this morning, then we have a podcast we're appearing on at 2:00 this afternoon.  After that, my best friend Tim is coming over to hang out and I am going to force myself to just have a nice, relaxing afternoon!

I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Just Us Girls #793 - Mood Board

Paper Funday - Changing Seasons

The Four Seasons - Fall

Passion for Markers - Animal Friends

AllSorts #832 - Trees, Leaves, and Plants

Background paper is from Unity Stamp Co (Spore the Love) and then I used some woodgrain paper from Echo Park with the border/cover plate die cut from Lawn Fawn. I stamped out Bountiful Owl from Unity Stamp Co. with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics, fussy cut, and attached with foam dimensional tape. Peace.

Fairy Kisses

I've got one more card to share today - this one is for the following challenges:

Color Throwdown #841

Tic Tac Toe #279 (I used die cut, 3 or more colors, square)

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Add Some Metal

AllSorts #832 - Trees/Leaves/Plants

As You Like It - Favorite Die and Why

(This is my favorite tag die - I love that it's big enough to layer on a card, and I love the texture the little dots give!)

I created my background by using the ink smooshing technique on watercolor paper with Distress Oxide Inks. I printed out "petit pot getting in" from Just Some Lines (no longer in business), colored it with Copics, fussy cut, and attached with foam dimensional tape. I attached the die cut tag with a metal flower brad and put metal eyelets in the corners. Sentiment is from CC Designs, stamped with Distress Oxide Ink in Chipped Sapphire and embossed with clear embossing powder. Peace.

Gardeners Know All the Dirt

Hello there - popping in with a card for the following challenges:

As You Like It - Favorite Die and Why

(I LOVE my leaf dies, I find they coordinate well with so many things and work so great on their own as well!)

Die Cut Divas - Anything Goes

A Cut Above - Anything Goes (with die cuts)

Penny's Paper Crafty - Anything Goes

Color Hues #118

I created my background by combining some oxide ink with water and flicking it all over the watercolor paper, then I dipped a paintbrush in it and dragged it around the edges. I stamped the sentiments (Ink Road Stamps) with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I die cut the leaves from green cardstock and attached with foam dimensional tape. Peace.

happy bday flower

Happy Friday! What a crazy busy week I've had - I'm off to the dr. this morning (just a physical) then lunch with hubby and some errands. We have another busy weekend - Fall is always so busy for us. But I get to see the grandkids Sunday, we're going to bring bagels over again and hang out for a couple of hours. I'm really looking forward to it.

I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Color Dare #669

The Sisterhood of Crafters - Birthdays

Double D - Make  Your Own Background

Tic Tac Toe #279 (Large Sentiment, Three or More Colors, Stamped Image)

Seize the Birthday #313 - Embossing Topping

I created my background by ink smooshing Cracked Pistachio and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Inks on watercolor paper. I stamped the flowers (Visible Image) directly on the card with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then stamped the larger flower onto musical note DP and fussy cut, paper piecing just the flower portion. I stamped the background stamps with coordinating inks, then used a die cut for the sentiment with black cardstock. Finished it off with some gemstone stickers. Peace.
