Just Because

I had a sleepover with my oldest granddaughter Raeana (RaeRae) Monday night, and we had a great time. We went out to dinner for appetizers (her favorite mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers), then we watched a movie and had popcorn, ice cream, and Shirley Temples. ;)  Then we read some books before bed.  Yesterday morning we made donuts in my little mini donut maker then we spent the entire day in my craft room!  She was so damn cute - she made a birthday card and some "presents" for her dad, whose birthday is today (happy birthday Antonio!) and she was just so excited to give them to him. She said "he's probably gonna yell and scream and run all over the place" so I had to text him and let him know that a big reaction is expected when she presents him with these gifts.  ROFL The only time she got mad at me was when my hubby was going to bed and she said "we'll be in soon Grampy" and I laughed and said "Well I will be - you'll be in your own bed!" and she pouted for a few minutes but got over it super quick. She's 6 and she knows the drill - I don't do kids in my bed. I don't sleep one wink if there's a kid in my bed, and I definitely don't want to be grouchy when I am spending the day with said kid!  ;) This is me and my RaeRae:

We are going to downsize and see if we can a similar sized house on a smaller piece of property... wish me luck. bee happy

Back to Monday! I hope you all had a nice weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed my lobster feast yesterday and I'm looking forward to a lobster roll for lunch today! I'm picking up my middle granddaughter Lisey (she's 5) today for a sleepover tonight. When I asked her what she wanted me to make her for dinner, she goes "Um, do you have any more of those Swedish meatballs?"  I was cracking up - Swedish meatballs is one of my specialties, and it takes hours to make. So I told her we'll make them together and she's super excited. I can't wait to spend the day in the kitchen with my little Bean!
