Wishing peace, love, and joy...

Good morning!  I hope you all got plenty of food and shopping done this weekend!  I did get a little online shopping done but I'm going out with a friend on Thursday this week to do the majority of it. I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Inkspirational Mood Board #355

Let's Craft & Create #225 - AG/Use Twine

Creative Knockouts - Snow Much Fun

613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes/Optional Thank You

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

I blended red & green oxide inks on watercolor paper, then used a cover plate die cut to cut it out and layer on top of a kraft cardstock base. I used brads in the corners. I die cut a tag, stamped the tree & sentiment from Jolly Christmas at Simon Says Stamp with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder, then colored with Copics and Fluffy Stuff. I sponged the edges of the tag and tied a piece of twine to it. Peace.

Sympathy & Friendship

Happy day after Thanksgiving!  Did any of you get up at the crack of dawn to go shopping?  Back when my kids were little, they opened the malls at like midnight and my sister and I used to go shopping every year. It was so much fun and such a nice memory to have. But I admit, I look forward to daytime and online shopping these days. LOL

I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Color Throwdown #845

Time Out #302 (I used nature and emboss)

Crafter's Cafe - Use Yellow

AllSorts #837 - Anything Goes/Optional Focal Sentiment

Double D - Fall Colors

I just have to recognize that this is the very last challenge for Color Throwdown, and I will miss them greatly.  I have printed out the pallet of every challenge they've done and I use them for inspiration quite often. Thank you for running the challenge blog for so long!

I was truly inspired by the picture used for the Color Throwdown challenge. I created the one layer card by blending distress oxide inks on watercolor paper, spritzing with water and blotting with a paper towel. I dried it completely and then stamped the tree & sentiment from the Tree of Love stamp set at Unity Stamps with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then flicked some extra black ink all over the card. I have, unfortunately, been in need of more sympathy cards this past year than in any other year, so I have been trying to keep a stash of them handy. Peace.

Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

Time Out #302 (I used corner and nature and emboss)

I used some scrap watercolor papers to create the background with Distress Oxide Inks, then another scrap to stamp the sentiment on (everything is stamped with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder). Stamps are from the Hero Arts Beautiful World set, one of my all-time favorites. I finished it off with some brads in the corners. Peace.

Gobble til you Wobble!

Goooood morning! I'm making our "Thanksgiving leftover casserole" to share tomorrow with my daughter and grandkids and our friends. I started this back when my kids were little - I literally just throw everything left over from the Thanksgiving meal into a casserole dish, topping it off with mashed potatoes and cheese and gravy. It's always a hit!

Since we're still on turkeys, I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

If You Give a Crafter a Coookie

Just Add....#774

Double D - Fall Colors

Papers are from Doodlebug Design, and I die cut the leaves from the coordinating papers. Image is from Connie Fong, printed out and colored with Copics. Peace.

Best Day Ever

I really love the color challenges and Color Dare is my favorite! I've got a 2nd card for this challenge:

Color Dare #679

Penny's Paper Crafty - Anything Goes

Addicted to Stamps - Make Your Mark

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

Just Add Ink #774 - Stencils and/or Dies

When I first joined the design team for A Colorful Life Designs, I did not have much experience with stencils. My friend Alison took a chance on me and I'm so grateful for that - I've since spent quite a bit of time playing and practicing with them and they are so much fun. So versatile. For this card, I kept it a simple one-layer card. I used watercolor paper and I ink smooshed the blue and purple oxide inks all over it, then let it dry. I then used the Layered Mermaid Tail stencil and applied the same inks heavier through it, then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment on the bottom and sponged the edges. Peace.

Gingerbread Baking

Hello friends! We have some more inspiration for you today at the Polkadoodles challenge blog! One lucky winner will receive a $40 gift card and 2 lucky winners will receive a $10 gift card!  Our theme is always Anything Goes so come play along!

I really enjoyed making this card and I knew what I wanted to do with it the second I saw the Boy Gingerbread Cookie digi! I knew I wanted to use him in coordination with a clear stamp set that I have that includes a mixing bowl and utensils. The papers are from the Christmas Paper Patterns 2 paper pack. I paper pieced the bowl (I love how it looks kind of like an old '60's or '70's pattern), colored the gingerbread boy & utensils with Copics, fussy cut and attached with foam dimensional tape.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Magical Holiday Wishes

Good morning! What a week - I have been running around like a crazy woman and I am looking forward to some down time this weekend!  I'm all ready for Thanksgiving, the 2 oldest granddaughters are sleeping over Tuesday night and they will help me make cranberry sauce, cranberry salsa, Chex mix, and fudge on Wednesday. My daughter will cook the turkey and stuffing & mashed potatoes so I'll just have to bring a few sides like butternut squash (one of my favorites) and brussel sprouts. What are your must-haves at Thanksgiving dinner?  Oh and I also make the world's best gravy, if I do say so myself, so I'll do that when I get to her house!  ;)

I stamped the sentiment on a piece of white cardstock, cut it out and roughed up the edges before attaching with foam dimensional tape. I printed out Moon Dance Witchwee Tabitha from Sweet November Stamps and colored her with Copics, fussy cut, then attached with foam dimensional tape. Peace.
