Happy Mother's Day! Today is my very first Mother's Day in 18 years that I am not spending it having brunch with gram and the rest of Jeremy's family. I felt a little sad when I woke up this morning, so I called gram. She was so cute, we chatted for a bit and then when I was hanging up I said "I love you" and she said "I love you, too, and I'm going to miss you something terrible today!" :) We both hung up quickly after that. LOL I guess it really is easier to appreciate things when they aren't there anymore. Anyway, I called my mom, too, and she sounded like she was missing us. That makes me sad. I haven't really had time to miss anyone yet, but I know it's going to hit me soon. Hard. But I'm happy, too, so it's not like being depressed, you know? I have just been so busy getting my house in order that I haven't had time to sit down for a second and think. And this morning, Cass wrote a sweet Mother's Day message on my Facebook page (hey - if you can't beat 'em, join 'em), which brought tears of happiness to my eyes. It really is the little things. :)
Yesterday I busted my butt to get my little crafting area set up - turns out that my bedroom was big enough to have it in there. It's also one of the sunniest rooms, so that was a clincher for me. I need some shelves and/or bookcases, though. I am going to hang up my pictures today and then take pics of the house, so you can hear more about (and see) my crafty area later in the week, I promise. I know, I know, try not to let it keep you up at night waiting... ;)
So I have a card for this week's challenge at:
I love this Honey-Summer rubber stamp, and I colored her with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits, and Prismacolor markers. I gave her some sparkly blue eye shadow, too, just because. The middle piece slides out and can be used as a bookmark.
Peace.
Sweet little image and great card shape. You have the best images!
