Good morning everyone. It's been a tough weekend, to say the least. Between the media and Facebook, I've seen and read hundreds of articles, statements, and opinions about the horrific events that took place on Friday in Newtown, Connecticut. I'm exhausted, emotionally and spiritually. Most people want to blame someone or something - guns, parents, violent video games, etc. The sad truth is that gun control won't help in a situation like this. It just won't. If someone wants to do what these disgusting pieces of shit have done, they will find a way to do it. I read a really good article this morning that was one of the best, most honest pieces of writing I've seen in a long time - you can read it here. I am not looking to start a debate about guns or mental illness - I'm just one person who has been deeply affected and needs to say something to ease the pain in my heart. Please join me in remembering the VICTIMS, not the perpetrator. Rest in peace, you angels (I apologize in advance if there are any errors - this list was taken from a news website):

Today's card is an appropriate one - a blue angel for the:
This card is for my daughter's best friend, Missy, who is like a 2nd daughter to me. We are mailing out her Christmas package tomorrow, so I made this sweet card to tuck in with it. I hope you all enjoy your Sunday - I'll be making a few cards in between baking cookies and making Chex Mix (a holiday tradition for me and in serious demand by my nephews back East, gotta get it packaged up to stick in their Christmas boxes, too!). Peace.
