D2D Schoolgirl Maisie Belle & Prickley Pear

Cass goes back to school today - it's going to be a busy year for her!  In honor of back-to-school, I have this cute card made with this week's freebie from the:

I colored "School Maisie Bell" with a mixture of Prismacolor markers & pencils with mineral spirits.  Cardstock is from Stampin' Up!  DP is from EK Success.

Next up is a card for the:

Prickley Pear Monthly Sketch Challenge

I flipped the sketch onto it's side and used my Prickley Pear butterfly stamp.  DP is from 7Gypsies, buttons are from my stash.

**UPDATE**  I had to stick this in today because the challenge closes tonight.  I just bought this gorgeous image from CS Designs and wanted to throw something together for the:
Art With No Boundaries Challenge - Ocean Theme

I made a page in my art journal, colored with Prismacolor markers, used lots of glitter on the shells and starfish, and applied Mod Podge over the whole thing.  Small shell stamp is from My Favorite Things - larger sand dollar is from clip art I found on the web.
Peace.

Whimsie Doodles & Card for Ryan

I love when I force myself to use non-cute images.  I am just drawn to cutesy and can't help it!  LOL  But when I step outside of my comfort zone, I'm almost always happy with the results.  Like this cool card for the:

These images are called Margarita and Margarita Sentiment, appropriately enough.  ;)  I colored them with SU! ink and Prismacolor markers, used some yellow gemstone stickers and added a sheer black ribbon.  I fussy cut the drink and lemons and layered it on top of the sentiment.

And I have another card for Ryan - click here to read about the Call for Cards for Ryan:

I used this adorable doggie from Just Some Lines, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  I love the paw print background paper, how perfect is that?  The sentiment is a rub-on from SU!  Peace.

Tiddly Inks - Bookmark & TGF Heart Journaling

Happy Monday - we never lost power yesterday, so I got to spend the day at my craft table and made lots of goodies for this week!  :)  First, here is my bookmark for this week's:

I used Schoolgirl and colored her with Prismacolor markers & Prismacolor pencils with mineral spirits.  Cardstock is from SU!  Buttons are from foof-a-la and the ribbon is from my stash.

I also made this journal page for The Greeting Farm's Heart Journaling Challenge this week, in honor of Jeremy's and mine anniversary - the theme was "Text Me" - use lots of text on your pages:
The paper is from 7Gypsies and I used a TON of Mod Podge and then journaled on the right-hand side.

Peace.

HDH Carnival of Curiosities & JSL Fishbowl

So we are in the middle of a "tropical storm/hurricane" (Irene) - heavy winds and rain, and we were kind of laughing about how it's a wimpy hurricane.  And all of a sudden, we hear "Crraaaaaccckkkkk"... yup, a good-sized tree fell and missed our house by centimeters.  The branches and leaves are actually touching the house but until we move it, we won't know if there is any damage.  Scary!  Here's a picture:

Wanted to get this posted quickly for the:
Haunted Design House - Carnival of Curiosities

I did a page in my art journal book, using some of my new Tiddly Inks images.  This kissing booth is not your normal kissing booth - but who can resist a handsome vampire?  hee hee

Next up - today's my day to post over on the Just Some Lines blog - I played with some of the new "fishdoodle" images and made this cute fish bowl card:
I used SU! cardstock, DP, and ribbon - images are colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  OK hope you are all safe, especially if you're affected by this hurricane/tropical storm!!!  Peace.

JSL NEW Challenge & Final MPS Saturday Spotlight

I am hosting the new challenge at Just Some Lines, which starts today.  The theme is
I decided to make several projects - this first one is an ATC using Amber April Showers:

Next is a bookmark I made using Amber Reads:
And last is my FAVORITE - it's a desk-top calendar:

I sprayed a couple of chipboard coasters with Smooch Spritz in Log Cabin & Gold Foil.  I then colored Bonsai Bear and Bonsai Bear Sleeps with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits, fussy-cut them and adhered them with Mod Podge.  I printed out the calendar pages and used brads to attach them to a piece of dark brown cardstock.  I used a light coat of Mod Podge to attach to the coaster.  I then punched holes in the coasters with my Crop-a-Dile and tied pieces of dark brown ribbon through the holes to hold it together.  I want to make a bunch of these calendars to give as Christmas gifts this year.
Next up is my very last ever Saturday Spotlight card for Michelle Perkett Studio.  :(  Michelle is closing her Paper Craft Planet group and challenge blog, and I will miss it very much but I wish her the best of luck in all of her endeavors, and I'm sure she's got a lot of them planned!  Here's "Fire" from the Elements series:

I colored my image with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and SU! markers and I used SU! cardstock, DP, markers, brads, and glitter.

Well, we're expecting Hurricane Irene to hit us late tonight, early tomorrow morning - so I have to get to the store and get some food and stuff.  Yeah, I know - it's going to be a freaking ZOO.  *sigh*  Tomorrow also happens to be mine & Jeremy's 18th anniversary, but I don't think we'll be going out with winds whipping around at 60-80 mph, so I'm thinking we'll go out to dinner to celebrate later tonight instead and then batten down the hatches tomorrow!  :)
Peace.

Stamping Bella & Paper Sundaes

I've got about a million and one things to do today - most importantly, I have to bring Cass to get some back-to-school clothes.  Can you say "procrastinator"?  LOL  I am going to surprise her and take her out to lunch, too, I always get coupons for buy one, get one free meals at various local restaurants by giving them my e-mail address, so I'm going to use one tomorrow.  :)  I love mother/daughter time, and I know how lucky I am to have such a wonderful daughter and such a great, close relationship with her.  :)

For today, I made a card to suit 2 challenge:

and

I used green and buttons for the Paper Sundaes requirements.  :)  My image is colored with SU! markers (pencils & mineral spirits for the skin).  Cardstock, DP, glitter, rhinestone brads, and ribbon all from SU!  Button is from my stash.

Cass has her first driving lesson tomorrow.  She's been driving with me since the day she got her learner's permit in April, so I'm totally confident in her.  She's a decent driver - the things she needs to work on are things that come with experience, like judging distance and time, stuff like that.
Peace.

D2D - every flower is to bloom

This week's freebie from the Designed2Delight Friday Free Image Challenge is "every flower is to bloom" - here's what I came up with:

I colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Cardstock is from SU!  DP is from Nikki Sivils - ribbon is from my stash.

Woke up to gray and cloudy skies, good excuse to finish up my projects for SNR and my DT stuff.  We're expecting thunderstorms and rain today and the predictions for the weekend aren't looking too great, either.  Sunday is my wedding anniversary - 18 years - so Jeremy and I are going out to dinner (alone!).  We're supposed to go to a party Saturday, too, but if the weather doesn't hold out, we'll most likely skip it.  Have a great day!  Peace.

TGF Heart Journaling - Week 5

Hey - anyone know where the Summer went?  Geez - it's almost over already here in New England!  Thankfully, we get to look forward to Fall - almost everyone loves Fall.  Warm days (but not hot and humid), cool nights, brisk air, beautiful colors all around us... Halloween!  Yeah, we love Fall here in New England.  :)

Today's post is just to share with you my art journal pages for this week's:

I used the adorable Sasha from the Creeper kit (we don't have to use any TGF images, but I wanted to on these pages) and Prismacolor markers with DP from My Mind's Eye.  I used opposite papers on each page to layer and paper-piece, which is meant to represent me and my many layers. Some days I might be sensitive and emotional, and others I'm strong and confident. But I'm always me - which is why I used the same image.  Pretty clever, eh?  hee hee

Hope you're all having a great week!  Peace.

MPS Final Challenge & DYSU

Hey there - well this is the last Tuesday that I'll be posting for the Michelle Perkett Studio challenges!  Michelle is moving on to bigger things and taking a break from the blogging/challenge world - she's a true artist and has a lot to offer the world, so I'm sure we'll still see her around!  :)  So here is today's card for the:

and

I used the gorgeous Guinevere image, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  That bright DP is from DCWV, love it!  I added the pink & blue rhinestone stickers from my stash, and the word stickers are from SRM Press.

Had a surprise visit from Leia (Jeremy's cousin) yesterday, who had baby Elianna with her - LOVE her!  Here's a pic of Cass with Elianna:

Have a great day!  xoxo  Peace.

TGF & Pixie Dust

Back to Monday!  :)  Last night, I turned off the computer and watched movies with my hubby all night, it was really nice.  You see, Jeremy is a channel-surfer - soooooo annoying to watch regular TV with.  LOL Seriously, he loves to flip through the channels - which basically means as soon as I see something I am interested in, the channel gets changed.  So I don't watch much TV and it really doesn't bother me, I just surf the Internet and catch up on leaving comments for people who participate in the challenges of the DT's I'm in, etc.  But every once in a while, it's nice to just shut the computer off and watch a movie together.  So that's how we spent our Sunday evening.  :)

First up today - I love the way this card came out - it's for the:

I used the sweet and sassy "Cheeky Beach" stamp, I paper pieced her bathing suit and colored the rest with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits along with some markers and glitter.  The bench is a digital stamp from Just Some Lines.  Cardstock & DP are from SU!  Ribbon and rhinestones are from my stash.

Next up is my card for this week's:

I used the adorable Miss Britney image and paired her up with some older DP from SU! that I had in my stash, and colored her to match with my SU! markers.  Buttons and ribbon are also from SU!

Have a great week!  Peace.

Magical Blinged-out Sketch...

I loooooove Sundays!  :)  It's been a good weekend.  Yesterday Jeremy made a pot of spaghetti sauce (I'm not Italian so it's not "gravy" - to me, "gravy" is the brown stuff you make from fat and ladle all over your meat and drown your mashed potatoes in...) and meatballs and sausage, and we had Cassidy's boyfriend Mike over for dinner.  Mike is a sweet kid, we like him a lot (they have been dating for about 9 months now).  He's one year older than Cass, so he'll be a senior in high school this year.  Mike told Cass the other day "I hope you look like your mom when you get older" - needless to say, I think he's a keeper.  ;)  Anyway, Trev went for a walk so I decided to check out the state of his bedroom knowing we were going to have company and GOOD LORD - could you hear me screaming from where you were?  Yeah, that was me.  *sigh* I spent two and a half hours cleaning it - he helped a little - and he went from being indignant to thankful.  I was glad I did it, though, because all 3 of the kids hung out in his room last night (TRUST ME - they would NOT have stepped foot in there pre-cleaning-spree) and watched a movie and played the X-Box.  Mike and Trev get along, which is awesome - so when Mike's here, Cass and Trev get along better!  Bonus!

So for today, I have a card to share that I made with 3 challenges in mind.  Honestly, I don't know how some of you do it with linking your cards to 20+ challenges!  LOL   I think it's important to read each particular challenge blog's rules carefully - for example, one of the challenges I'm entering this card into only allows you to enter your project into 2 additional challenges.  I just like to follow the rules because I've won over $200 worth of stamps and digital images over the past 8 months, so it's worth it to me to pay attention.  LOL

So the challenges I'm entering are:

The sweet pixies with banner image is from Tiddly Inks, colored with Prismacolor pencils, mineral spirits, SU! markers and lots of glitter. Cardstock, DP, punches, ribbon, and gemstone brads all from SU!  "Happy Birthday" stickers are from SRM Stickers.  Button is from foof-a-la.  Peace.

MPS Spotlight Saturday & Whimsie - Card for Ryan

Good morning, happy Saturday!  We had some crazy thunderstorms here yesterday afternoon, and this morning the sky looks gray and cloudy.  Which really just translates to "perfect day to craft."  :)

I used the lovely "Vanessa" image, colored with SU! markers along with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits. Cardstock, DP, and ribbon also from SU!  Button is from my stash.

And I also have another card for my friend Meredith's "Card Drive for Ryan":

I am entering this into the:
Whimsie Doodles Wednesday Challenge - Use 3 Patterned Papers

I love this monkey image by Whimsie Doodles - so cute!  My cardstock and DP are from SU!  I just printed the saying out from my word processing program.

Peace.

Tiddly Inks & Stamping Bella

I am glad this week is OVAH - I did not have a good week.  HMPH  :(  I found myself in tears several days in a row this week, and realized yesterday that I have a bad habit of letting situations and feelings control me. I over-react sometimes or take things too personally, but even when I know it, I just can't help it - I can't help who I am.  And when I have more than one crappy thing happen at at time, I tend to just turn into a blubbering fool.  LOL  But I am trying to find better ways to deal with life and the unavoidable crap that gets thrown at us.  Most of you know that my brother is an addict - well, I haven't spoken to him in several weeks, but I heard he got arrested recently.  Yesterday afternoon, he started sending my sister and I suicidal "goodbye text messages" - I don't know how to explain  how this made me feel.  I am always brutally honest on here, so I guess I'll just say it the only way I know how.  I felt... sad, angry, disgusted, relieved, scared, and helpless.  I am so tired of him.  So tired of the ups and downs of addiction.  It literally hurts my heart.  I hate him.  I love him.  I wish, I wish, I wish... it doesn't matter.  You can't help people who can't help themselves.  I can't save him.  This is not an easy thing to accept when you are the big sister, the oldest child of the family.   So add this on top of anything, and the "anything" seems 10 times worse, know what I mean?

Sooooo....I decided to spend yesterday doing things that I wanted to do, like make a project for one of my very favorite challenge blogs:

I used the too-cute-to-be-scary Shhhark! set - my "No Swimming" sign is punched from a one-inch square punch.  I fussy-cut the "No Swimming" part and adhered with a pop-up dot.  The rest is colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  The background image is from Make It Crafty - I just used a craft knife to cut slits into the water and inserted the sharks in them.  The seashells were from my stash, I stuck them on with Glue Dots.  I really had fun making this card, this is why I call crafting my therapy - it really calms me and makes me happy.

Next up is my card for this week's Bellarific Friday Challenge:

I used the royal Queen Bee Huggabugg, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and SU! markers.  Flower is from the Sticky Sweets set of stickers from SU!  Cardstock, DP, punches, and glitter also from SU!  Gemstone stickers are from my stash.  Enjoy your weekend, Summer is almost over (well, here in New England anyway!).  Peace.

TGF Heart Journaling Week 4

I am having a blast with my art journal - this week it's:

I was scared to try until I watched this video from the One Minute Muse here.  I decided to leave the face off of her, because I was happy with her and just had a feeling I'd ruin it if I tried adding the face.  LOL  Cass thinks it makes her "kinda creepy" but I like it.
Peace.

D2D Stitched Pumpkin

I love the image we got this week at Designed2Delight for the:

I colored my image with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Cardstock, ribbon, brads, and patterned paper all from SU!  Peace.

MPS & Queen of the Damned & Altered Alice

Tuesday again - time for another:

I decided to use Michelle's adorable Alice in Wonderland image (apparently, I'm on an Alice kick lately...), I printed her on Very Vanilla cardstock and I think she came out quite vintage-y, what about you?

Next up - further proof of my current obsession kick - a journal page I made for this week's:

OK so I'm also entering this into the (thanks, Donna!):

Altered Alice Challenge - Use Paint

I just HAD to use the Queen of Hearts from Dilly Beans after I had just used Alice for last week's Kreepy Kids challenge!  LOL  I actually printed out a mini version of Alice and chopped off her head for the Queen's Staff.  hee hee <evil chuckle>  I used Gesso on my page and then dripped black and red watered-down paint over it.  I sprayed the whole thing with Silver Foil Smooch Spritz.  Whatcha think?  I am really getting into this art journaling - I'm finding myself painting and Gesso-ing and don't even get me started on Mod Podge.  OMG - why did no one ever tell me that one cannot live without Mod Podge?  My life is complete.  *sigh*  Uh - anyway - I'm having fun.  That's the point to art - maybe I'll expand to canvas some day!  Peace.

Desert Islands Crafters & Tiddly Inks

I was super excited and honored to be asked to join the DT at Desert Islands Crafters Challenges !  My first challenge as a member of their DT is

1 - Dry embossing

3 - Pearls
4 - Office stationary (paper clips, etc.)
5 - Kraft card
6 - Ruffles
7 - Stickers
8 - Stitching
9 - Vintage/Old fashioned (could be an image or just style)

Tiddly Inks #61 - Thank You Teacher

I was totally psyched to see I had won a $25 gift certificate to Tiddly Inks last week -at the end of each month, Christy draws a name out of everyone who participated in each weekly challenge that month - she's so generous.  So I went on a little shopping spree and picked up this adorable teacher image.  I used a little bit of everything from my stash - background paper, alphabet ribbon, etc.  Peace.

Bonsai Bear Sleeps

Today is my day to post over at the Just Some Lines blog - here is the card I shared today:

I just love this sweet teddy bear taking a nap under the bonsai tree, isn't he adorable?  I colored him with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Cardstock, DP, and button are from Stampin' Up!
**TIP - If you want something extra for your card, but ribbon would be too girly or just too much... twine is a perfect substitute.  Wrap it around the card a few times and tie a knot (either right on the front of the card, or on the inside if you don't want it to show), then snip the ends off. **
I am also entering this into the following challenges:

That's all for now - have a lovely Sunday!  :)  Peace.

MPS & JSL - it's Saturday :)

Woke up with a headache this morning - ugh!  I think I got too much sun yesterday, feeling a little on the burnt side and maybe a tad dehydrated.  But it was a nice day - spent the day at my mom's and helped her apply for Social Security benefits online for when she retires this Fall.  Then I sat in the sun next to her pool for about 5 hours, even jumped in the pool once, it was great.  Trev was with me and Cass was finishing her driver's education course and taking her final exam, so she came over when she was done.  I've spent way too much time in the house this Summer - haven't even gone to the beach ONCE yet!  I think I might have to try to sweet-talk hubby into a beach trip next weekend.  Wish me luck!

Today is new challenge day at Just Some Lines!  Our theme for the next 2 weeks is going to be:

I used this gorgeous wedding gown image and the wet embossing technique.  I stamped a background all over the black cardstock with Embossing ink, then sprinkled silver embossing powder over it and shot it with my heat-gun.  Then I dragged the edges of the circle that the image is stamped on back through the embossing ink, and sprinkled gold embossing powder over it.  Shot it with the heat gun again and mounted it to the card.  I added a few silver and gold ribbon tags and voila - pretty bridal shower card.  The inside says "Best Wishes on your Special Day."  I am also entering this wedding dress card into the:

Little Claire's Designs Challenge - Weddings & Anniversaries

Next up is my Saturday Spotlight card for Michelle Perkett Studio.  Be sure to go check out the site to see the rest of the mermaids work!  :)

I used the adorable Birthday Sprite image, colored with Stampin' Up! markers and Prismacolor pencils with mineral spirits.  Cardstock, DP, buttons, ribbon, and brads all from SU!

Hope you have a great weekend, my friends!  Don't forget to check out the SNR EVENTS going on - we're featuring a different manufacturer several times a month, with TONS of eye candy, lots of tutorials and classes, and chances to win stuff!  If you're not a subscriber - why not?  It's totally worth it - and don't forget, you don't have to be a subscriber to submit artwork for publication!  AND - you get a free subscription for a month if you do get something published.  Click here for a description of the calls that are due August 28.
Peace.

HDH - Kreepy Kids & Lollipop Crafts

Happy Friday, peeps!  I am going to spend today and tomorrow basking in the sun, because then I am going to be chained to my craft table for the next 2-3 days in a row, working furiously on some projects that I have a deadline coming up quickly for!  LOL  For today, I have a fun card to share with you - it's always fun altering my cutesy images into horrific characters for the Haunted Design House Macabre Monday challenges!  hee hee  This week's theme is:

I used my Alice in Wonderland image from Dilly Beans and printed out a quote from Alice that I thought fit this card perfectly!  LOL   I found the bottle that says "Poison" by doing a search for free clip-art on Google.  Hope you enjoy my weekly forays into the macabre - I sure am.  :)

Next up is a card for the:

Lollipop Crafts Challenge - Monochromatic

I used one of my fun new images from Just Some Lines called Emo Piper Sitting - I love how cool she looks listening to her iPod!  I colored her with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits, cardstock and DP are from SU!  I also sprayed the whole thing with SU! Smooch Spritz in Vanilla when it was done, giving it that glittery look.  Buttons and ribbon are from my stash.  Have a great weekend!  Peace.

Do something nice...

Do you want to do something nice, a random act of kindness?  If you do, go check out this post here by my friend Meredith... you can do something nice and get something cool in return because Meredith is a pretty cool person.  ;)  Go read about Ryan and then come back, I'll wait.

OK - done?  Good.  Here's the card that I made for Ryan this week - I'm going to send him a card every now and then just to keep his spirits up:

I used Boy Fishes from Just Some Lines - colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  DP is from My Mind's Eye.  Buttons are from my stash.  Now go make a card for Ryan and be sure to link up on Meredith's blog!
Next up are my journal pages for this week's Heart Journaling class at The Greeting Farm:

This week's theme was gratitude, I used Gesso and a mix of plain and glittery acrylic paints on my pages, then hand-wrote all over them.  I'm having a blast with this project.

And last - I told you I was making something special for my sister's birthday.  This was my first time doing something like this - I had a blank journal with cardboard pages that I completely altered with Gesso, papers, images, Mod Podge, all kinds of stuff.  I had SO MUCH FUN making it - it was 6 double-sided pages so I got to decorate 12 pages.  Here's a sampling of some of my favorites:

Thanks for sticking around to see all of my goodies today!  Have a wonderful day - peace.

D2D - Cupcake Mouse

I have been hard at work this week making something special for my sister's birthday, which was yesterday.  I'm giving it to her tonight, so I'll probably post some pics of it tomorrow.  In the meantime, I did find time to squeeze in a card for the:

This adorable mouse came in a boy and a girl version - I used the boy but I also used kind of girly colors, not really sure what I was thinking.  LOL  I still think it came out cute!  I have to finish my "gratitude" pages in my art journal today for The Greeting Farm's Heart Journaling class, they're all Gesso-ed and painted and just waiting for me to finish them.  I am LOVING doing this art journal, it's such a fun way to express your creativity!  Peace.

Happy B-Day & Michelle Perkett - Summertime Fun!

Happy Birthday to my best friend, my defender, my soul mate - my sister Michelle.  :)  Shell is one year and 3 days younger than me, and we have been super close since she was born.  We get to spend the evening together tomorrow, but I wanted to wish her a very happy birthday and share a cute picture of us with our mom.  It's me, Michelle, mom:
I love this girl with all my heart, and I just cannot imagine my life without her.  I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful sister.  :)
********************************************************************
It's Tuesday again and that means another challenge at Michelle Perkett Studio - this week our theme is SUMMERTIME FUN!

I used the tropical Leilani stamp, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Cardstock, DP, and ribbon are from Stampin' Up!  OK now go grab yourself one of  Michelle's beautiful images at her Etsy shop here and play along with our Summertime Fun challenge!  Peace.

Stamp Something - Digi Day

I had such an awesome birthday weekend - went out for a while Saturday night with my husband, sister, and some friends and had lots of laughs.  Then my mom called me Sunday (I had not spoken to her in over a month) and we cried and yelled and then she came and picked me up and I went to a few stores with her, so it made me feel a whole lot better.  I have to accept that she's never going to be the warm and fuzzy mom I wish I had - the kind of mom that I am to my kids - but she's still my mom and I love her and I need her to be a part of my life, however small of a part it might be.  Anyway, Jeremy took me out to dinner later on at one of my favorite restaurants (they had sent me a coupon for a free meal for my birthday, can't pass that up!), then we came home and watched Bugsy and had ice cream.  LOL  Perfect birthday weekend!  And my sister's birthday is Tuesday (we are only a year apart), so we're spending Wednesday evening together going to dinner and the movies - we're going to see the Smurf movie because the Smurfs were one of her FAVORITE cartoons growing up.  LOL

For today I have a card for the challenge at:

I used this freaky but cute image from Dilly Beans, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Cardstock, DP and glitter are from Stampin' Up!  Button and ribbon are from my stash.
Have a fabulous Monday, my friends!  :)  Peace.

HDH 100! Varying Visages of Vincent

First, I must tell you about the chance to win some blog candy corn... LOL  This week marks the 100th challenge at the Haunted Design House MACABRE MONDAY blog, which I discovered not too long ago!  To celebrate, they are giving away some blog candy

Simply click on the picture to read the rules and participate!

This week's challenge is called Varying Visages of Vincent... Vincent Price, that is.  Vincent would have turned 100 this year - as a child of the '70's, I can totally remember hearing his voice in movies and stuff and being creeped out.  For the challenge, we could draw our inspiration from anything Vincent Price had been involved in, and there are LOTS of movies, films, songs, pictures, etc. that I could have used!  But what I decided to base my project on is the "poem" that Vinny recites at the beginning of Michael Jackson's "THRILLER" - what do you think?

I'm also linking up to Blackdragon's Macabre Monday post!

When the Thriller video came out, I think I was 12 years old (this was when MTV played (gasp!) videos!  Remember that?)... and it scared the crap out of me.  LOL  Anyway, for this card I used another Creeper from TGF - doesn't this remind you of Michael?  LOL  I even colored the clothes to match Michael's red & black outfit from the video... hee hee  I splattered red paint all over the text to look like blood.  I love stepping away from the cutesy every week to participate in these fun challenges!  Peace.
