Love Tag and Something Seasonal

Hello there!  I a couple projects to share today. First up, I have a tag/bookmark that I'd like to enter into the following challenges:

Tag-along & ATC's - Love, Romance, or Anything Goes

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Use Stencils

Classic Design Challenge - Anything Goes/Optional Use Circles

The Sisterhood of Crafters - Spots & Dots

I used a piece of watercolor paper and cut it in half, using a corner rounder punch on the edges. I used the reverse stencil technique with my Bauhaus Circle Mask stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (you can use code JennFan10 for 10% off your entire order!), and then applied some heavier ink in the opposite corners, then sponged black ink around the edges of the whole thing. I stamped the sentiments all over the tag, and stamped the envelope (all stamps from Lili of the Valley) with Versafine Black & embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics & glitter, fussy cut, and attached with foam dots. I die cut some hearts and attached those with foam dots as well. I used a punch and threaded a ribbon through it to finish it off.

.....................

And next is a card that I'd like to enter into the following challenges:

A Place to Start #202601 January - Anything Goes/Optional Rainbows

Dragonfly Dreams January - Floral

I Love ProMarkers - Anything Goes/Optional Easter/Spring

Wednesday's Creative Inspiration - Anything Goes

Just Add Ink #777 - Something Seasonal

Papers are from Doodlebug Designs, I used a fun tag die cut attached with a flower brad. I printed out Whatever Blooms from Tiddly Inks (click the link, you can get 3 of these adorable girls for $4.65!), colored her with Copics and a white gel pen and used the Cloud Edger stencil (A Colorful Life Designs - you can use code JennFan10 for 10% off) around her. I cut her out in a rectangle shape and attached with foam strips. Peace.

Wine is Cheaper than Therapy

Squeezing one in for the following challenges:

Addicted to CAS #299 - Glass

613 Avenue Create - AG/Optional Twist Cheers to the New Year

4-Season Challenge #100 - Cheers

I stamped my images (99% Chance of Wine set from Visible Image) directly on the white panel - used Versafine Black and Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I mounted the panel on a piece of burgundy colored cardstock for the card base. Peace.

You're My Super Hero

I was super excited to see the Retro Rubber challenge come back! I love having an excuse to pull out my older stamps! I'd like to enter this card that I made for my hubby for Valentine's Day into the following challenges:

Retro Rubber - Anything Goes (stamp must be older than one year)

Can You Handle the Pressure? AG with Optional Twist of Friendship (MUST use embossing folder!)

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

AllSorts #841 - Boys or Men/Anything Goes

I applied Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink to a heart stencil from Erin Lee Creative, then I ran the panel through my die cut machine with an embossing folder. I used a die from Pink & Main's Reverse Scallop Die set, the cut-out reminds me of the comic strips "bursts"! I stamped the sentiment and edited it by adding some stickers from a Tim Holtz sticker sentiment book, and I layered that on top and then added a die cut heart on top of that. I stamped the superhero and the mask from the Amazing Duo set from The Greeting Farm (2010) with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics and Stickles, fussy cut, and attached with foam dimensional dots. I finished it off by sponging all the edges with black ink. I just realized you can purchase this set as a digi set here but it doesn't come with the sentiments! Still cute! Peace.

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes

Hello all! I've been trying to challenge myself to make cards that are a little more... sophisticated. Grown up. LOL  I really love "cute" stuff - I tend to gravitate my art towards that and sometimes when I'm looking for a card in my stash to send, I realize cute won't work! So I decided to do something about that! Here's one I made that I really love - I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Little Red Wagon - River of Dreams

Die Cut Divas - New Crafty Supplies (my dream catcher die)

A Cut Above - Anything Goes with Die Cuts

Moving Along with the Times - Stencils or Dies

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Emboss It!

I tend to make a TON of backgrounds and just hoard them - LOL - sometimes I like to play with alcohol inks on Yupo, other times I like to play with Distress Oxide Inks, and other times I like to get out my Lindy's Magicals! For this card, I used 2 background that I had made with blue shades of Lindy's Magicals. I finally used my new Dream Catcher die cut from Hero Arts - I die cut the feathers from one of the backgrounds and used the other to attach it to. I used some Versafine Clear with gold embossing powder on a piece of watercolor paper to die cut the moon part. I finished it off with a sentiment sticker from a Tim Holtz book. Peace.

Stories and Fairytales

Good morning! I have 2 cards to share today - this first one is for the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Emboss It

Stamping Sensations - B is For.... (BOOKS!)

Inky Paws #248 - Mood Board

I created my background by applying Versafine Clear through a heart stencil, then embossed it with white embossing powder. I then applied Flirty Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink all over the panel. I distressed some scrap pieces in the Inky Paws challenge colors and die cut some hearts from them. I stamped Newton from the Newton's Book Club set with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics, fussy cut, and attached him to the layered hearts with foam dimensional tape. I stamped the sentiment directly on the red heart.

.............................

And this next one is for the following challenges:

I Love ProMarkers - Anything Goes/Optional Fairytales

Sisterhood of Crafters - Spots & Dots

Cut it Up #347 - Favorite Die(s) (This nested arch die is one of my favorite nesting dies!)

Let's Craft & Create #227 - Something New (stamp)

Time Out - All That Sparkles

I finally inked up Oddball Cinderella from Stamping Bella (my something new) with Versafine Black and embossed her with clear embossing powder. I colored her with Copics, added Dazzling Diamonds to the glass slipper. I cut an arch shape around her then used my nesting arch dies to die cut from the yellow DP. I mounted that on the polka dot DP (papers from Doodlebug Design). I used a torn edge rectangle die for the sentiment and added a bunch of rhinestone stickers. Peace.

613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes/Optional Cheers to the New Year

A Place to Start #202621 - Anything Goes/Optional Rainbows or Lots of Colors

I stepped out of my comfort zone for this one and I'm pleased with the results! I used my NEW SU! cardstocks - Cherry Cobbler for the card base, Old Olive for the postage stamp die background, and Secret Sea for the ladder. I die cut the plant pots from Cherry Cobbler and added some Cranberry Stickles to them. The plants are die cut from Old Olive. I attached them all to piece of watercolor paper that I blended a light gray ink through a brick stencil on and cut it out with a stitched edge rectangle die. I added an old SRM Sticker from my stash that says "just for you!" to finish it off. Peace.

Never Stop Chasing Rainbows

Hi all! I've got a bright and cheery card to share today - gotta find some way to beat the Winter blues! I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Emboss It!

Colorful Options - Mood Board or Rainbows (I'm going with Rainbow option)

A Place to Start - Anything Goes/Optional Rainbows

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

I created my background by blending Distress Oxide Inks in rainbow colors on a piece of watercolor paper. I sprayed with water heavily and blotted with a paper towel. I stamped the images from the Chasing Rainbows set at Pink & Main directly on the background with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I used Fluffy Stuff with my heat tool on the cloud, then added rhinestones in rainbow colors down the side of the card. I sponged the edges with black ink to finish it off. Peace.

Polkadoodles - The SNOW Must Go On!

We have a new challenge for you at Polkadoodles!

Our theme is always Anything Goes!

I had a blast creating this scene - these images are just so much fun to play with!  I started by printing Snow Slide Playing Theo Penguin and the sentiment from the Christmas Greetings Kit on a piece of watercolor paper (I use Microsoft Publisher so I can put the images anywhere close together without overlapping) and then I created my background around the image. I carefully blended Stormy Sky Distress Oxide Ink on the top 3/4 of the paper, leaving some white around the little penguins so they'd "pop". I colored with Copics, a white gel pen, and some Fluffy Stuff. I used some die cut snowflakes as accents, coordinating my coloring with the little guy's scarf. Don't you just want to go join them on their sledding adventure?!?

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

The Four Seasons - Winter

613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes/Optional Cheers to the New Year

Paper Funday #83 - Anything Goes/Optional Sketch

Passion for Markers - Favorite Digi or Stamp (Polkadoodles  has so many of my favorite digis!)

Fab n' Funky #628 - Winter Wonderland

If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #212 - January/Cabin in Winter

Peace.

Dreams Do Come True

Good morning! I'm having a couple friends over tomorrow so I'm off to do some shopping today for some supplies - I'll be making chicken shawarma to serve, one of my all-time favorites! I make a delicious tahini sauce to go with it - my friends are gluten-free so I'll be serving salad with it, but normally I make homemade rice pilaf! I spent the day in my craft room yesterday and I'd like to enter this card below into the following challenges:

Try a Sketch on Tuesday #686

A Place to Start January - Anything Goes/Optional Rainbows

Colorful Options January - Mood Board OR Rainbows

Little Red Wagon #841 - River of Dreams

I used some scrap paper strips to create the rainbow - die cut some clouds and lightly sponged the edges so they'd pop. Stamped the unicorn on the cloud (A Unicorn's Dream from Mama Elephant) with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics and fussy cut, then attached with foam dimensional tape. Peace.

Happy Halloween - in January!

I was about to pull my hair out if I had to make one more Christmas card... ROFL  I will happily make Halloween cards allllll year long, but I get tired of Christmas and winter cards! As you can imagine, I have a pretty good stash of Halloween cards at the ready! ;)  I'd like to enter this one below into the following challenges:

As You Like It - Favorite Occasions and Why

(I LOVE Halloween - it's my favorite holiday because there is no pressure, no gift-giving, no expectations, just fun!)

I applied some gray ink to a piece of watercolor paper and spritzed it lightly with water, then let it dry. I sponged the edges with the same light gray ink. Stamps are all from the Just Batty set from Simon Says Stamp, stamped with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics (pumpkins stamped directly on the background). I fussy cut the ghosts and attached them with foam dimensional tape to the distressed postage stamp dies (ink blended with Distress Oxide Inks). I fussy cut the skull & sentiment image and attached that with foam dimensional tape also. Peace.

Axolotl Big Birthday Wishes

Happy 7th birthday to my kind, sweet, funny, axolotl-loving granddaughter, Raeana - AKA RaeRae - the one who made me a Grammy! This kid is amazing, when she sets her mind to something she follows through with determination and commitment. She makes me so proud of her for so many reasons. When she was opening her gifts last weekend, she opened this card and said "I know this is from Grammy, because she makes the BEST cards!". I had no idea she appreciated my artwork so much and it just made my day! :)

I'd like to enter RaeRae's birthday card into the following challenges:

Double D - Birthdays (Happy 10 Years to Double D!!!!)

Addicted to Stamps #508 - Birthdays

Time Out #304 - All That Glitters

Cut it Up #347 - Favorite Dies (this deckled edge circle die is one of my favorite nesting dies!)

Moving Along with the Times #185 - Use Stencils and/or Dies

I had so much fun getting super inky with this card!  I used Picked Raspberry and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Inks for the background. I used a polka dot stencil on the deckled edge circle die and added some Mica Spray Stain to the die cut "7". I printed out this adorable axolotl from the Crafty Bels shop, colored with Copics and Stickles, fussy cut, and attached with foam dimensional tape. I outlined both sets of sunglasses with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Sentiment is a dig from Polkadoodles. I had the perfect heart sunglasses die cut from Scrapbook.com in my stash, then I finished off with some rhinestone brads in the corners. Peace.

Dashing Through the Snow

Hello all - are you enjoying the days lasting a tiny bit longer yet? I just noticed it about a week ago - it was almost 5:00 p.m. and not pitch black yet!  Nice! LOL I'm looking forward to Spring - I definitely get a touch of seasonal depression and the sunshine and open windows really helps clear that up! For now, it's still cold and snowy here in New England, so this card totally works! I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:

Colorful Options - Mood Board or Rainbow

Make My Monday #269 - Use Patterned Paper

The Four Seasons - Winter

Try it on Tuesday - It's Cold Outside

CC Designs January FB Challenge - Winter Wonderland

Paper is a digi paper from Polkadoodles. I printed out Swiss Pixies Nora (old digi stamp) from CC Designs and colored her with Copics and Stickles. I fussy cut and attached with foam dimensional tape. I stamped the sentiment with white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder on the snowflake tag die, then attached it with a snowflake brad. I added some snowflake dies cut from a sparkly white cardstock to finish it off. Peace.

The Paper Shelter - Snowy Mood Board

Hello everyone!  The Paper Shelter Design Team has a new challenge for you today!

You can always go with the Anything Goes option, but we have a gorgeous Mood Board for you if you are so inspired:

I used the mood board to create my card:

My papers are from Unity Stamp Co. - I printed out the She Wolf image from The Paper Shelter, colored her with Copics and used a deckled edge circle die to cut her out. Wish Tag & Yoga Card

Back to Monday! It comes quickly each week, doesn't it? LOL We had our birthday celebration for our oldest granddaughter this past weekend - man, does time fly. I remember watching her be born and it was the most amazing thing I had ever witnessed... now she's turning (gulp!) 7 on Thursday!  She's just as sweet as ever - I'll share the card I made for her on Thursday!

Speaking of birthdays, I have a fun tag to share today for the following challenges:

I created my tag by cutting a piece of watercolor paper into a tag shape, then I used the ink smooshing technique with yellow, light blue, and green Distress Oxide Inks. I let it all dry, then I added some extra Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink in the corners and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I die cut the "wish" sentiment from a scrap of paper I applied light blue ink to. I stamped the clown from CC Designs with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics and Stickles and used some Liquid Diamonds on the  balloon. I fussy cut and attached with foam dimensional tape, then added some light blue rhinestone stickers to finish it off.
