WW ATC Reminder: Take Time for You!

I am sorta kinda feeling sorry for myself this weekend.  My birthday is Monday and I always make a big deal out of my birthday. I'm not the kinda girl who goes out and parties a lot, but I always go out with my hubby and friends on my birthday weekend, and we par-tay.  I always do stuff with my sister, whose birthday is 3 days after mine (one year later) and we have always just called it "our birthdays".  I always go shopping with my friend Linda, and she always takes me to lunch.  My mom always makes me a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate ice cream because one time, I made a joke about how could ANYTHING that's chocolate with chocolate and MORE chocolate not be the BEST birthday dessert ever?
*sigh*
So yeah, kinda feeling sorry for myself.  I think a girl deserves to do that every now and then.  I'll be OK, though.  I did talk to my mom today, who was super sweet and made me feel better.  Then my sister called me while hanging out with a mutual friend, and they made me giggle for a good 15 minutes.  So you know, life goes on.  I'll be OK.

So it's Saturday and I have our reminder post at:

I used Mermaids Love Bubbles from A Day for Daisies above, cropped her close and crooked and mounted the whole thing onto an ATC.  I colored with Stickles, Prismacolor pencils, and mineral spirits.

For my next ATC, I used Me Time Anya from The Greeting Farm, stamped onto glossy white cardstock that I had colored with alcohol inks and colored with Prismacolor markers:

Come see what the other girls came up with and join us at WW ATC Challenge!  Peace.

  1. Fabulous ATC's Jenn...love the ADFD mermaid and all the blues.

I hope you cheer up soon! Maybe you need a big slice of double chocolate cake with a Partini to break your doldrums?!!

  3. Glad it turned out well! I hear ya though- we moved a few months before my 40th. I've never had a big bday hoohah and never really wanted one but we did go all out a few months before for another friend's 40th and I was kinda looking forward to an evening of fun with the girls. Instead, I spent it in front of my laptop, looking at CKC classes, in a dark hotel room as my hubby and munchkin slept while we were on our normal Memorial Day vacay. *sigh* I hear ya.
