You are my Sunshine

Hello there - I'm home from work today with an awful sinus infection.  It started Monday and by yesterday morning, the left side of my face was just throbbing with sinus pain.  I ended up going to the dr. and they prescribed an antibiotic so I've been taking that along with Sudafed Sinus Pain & Pressure.  I have zero energy and my head is just so foggy, so I'm home resting on the couch today.  Nothing to do but blog, right?  :)  Here's what I have for you today:

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

I used the new digi image from TGF called Blush Bebe, corela. Papers are from Doodlebug Designs, ribbon tag and butterfly are from my stash. Peace.

Walking on Sunshine

Hey there - I was so darn productive today, I couldn't even wait to share one of the cards I made so I'm blogging twice in one day.  hee hee  :)  Here you go:

I made this for the following challenges:
The East Wind Facebook Challenge:  It Started with a Song (Going to California by Led Zeppelin, specifically the lyrics "Someone told me there's a girl out there with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair")

I colored the gorgeous freebie I got from the East Wind with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  I love this new paper pad from Jessica Hogarth Designs called Sail Away.  I added a piece of fiber-lace-netting and some seashells in the corner to finish it off.  Peace.

Mad!

Good morning - happy Sunday!  Since going back to work, I've really learned to appreciate weekends again!  :)  This morning I threw a pork shoulder in the crock pot with some onion, garlic, and fresh-squeezed orange juice after rubbing the shoulder with salt, pepper, oregano, and cumin... looking forward to pulled pork carnitas tacos and quesadillas tonight for dinner.  Yum.  And now I get to craft all day and not worry about cooking later.  Double yum.  ;)

So this morning I'd like to share this card I made with one of the fabulous digi images from SLS Lines:

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

This is my first time using the Mad Hatter digi from SLS Lines, and I colored him with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits with a bit of marker - then I covered his glasses lenses in Crackle Accents, which gave his eyes a funky appearance.  Papers are from Simple Stories - film strip die cut was made on my Silhouette and the text stickers are from colorobok.  Peace.

hello sunshine!

Hello there!  Last night we celebrated our daughter's 20th birthday by going out to dinner, we had such a good time.  The waitress was kind enough to take a picture for us - so this is (standing up) Mikey, me, Jeremy, my papa and my best friend Tanya and then sitting down is Cass & my mom:

I'm very proud of the young lady my daughter is growing into.  You always hear people saying you can't be friends with your children - well, I disagree.  My daughter is my very best friend and she's a sweetheart.  Happy 20th birthday, Cass!  We love you!
