Trying to get ready to take off for a little 2-night trip tomorrow, so I'm just posting quick for the following challenges:

AllSorts - Anything Goes

Crafter's Cafe - Anything Goes/Optional Include an Animal

Classic Design Challenge - Anything Goes (optional Autumn/Fall)

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

Path of Positivity #123

I created my background by using Distress Inks on watercolor paper and then rubbing a baby wipe all over it, it gave it a "textured" look.  My stamps are from Tracey Hey Designs, I used Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I used some Stickles on the heart, then a heart eyelet and finished it off with a ribbon from Stampin' Up! that I found in my stash. Peace.

Have a Wicked Time!

I have the best husband in the world.  :)  We've been super busy preparing for our event for the last few weeks and he surprised me last night by telling me he booked us 2 nights away this week in Saratoga, New York!  We have a fifth wheel camper that we haven't had a chance to take advantage of much, so I'm totally excited at the thought of 2 nights away with no responsibilities!!!  I'm bringing my new Stephen King book and just relaxing the entire time.  I cannot wait.

Anyway, for today I have a cute little Halloween gnome card to share and I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:

A Blog Named Hero - Anything Goes

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

AllSorts- Anything Goes

We Love Stamping - Hand Coloured Image/Anything Goes

Inkspirational:  Headwear

I created my background by spraying some Tim Holtz Mica Stains on black cardstock for the card base, then used some Distress Inks and water and more Mica Stains on watercolor paper, then stamped some Hero Arts texture stamps all over it.  I stamped the Halloween gnome from the Gnome-O-Ween set at Unity Stamps, colored him with alcohol markers, fussy-cut him out and attached with foam dimensional tape.  Sentiment is from Woodware Craft Collection.  Peace.

Witch in a Cauldron

I'm getting super busy with my event coming up in November, but I'm making it my GOAL this year to make every effort to continue finding time for myself for crafting, since it's truly like therapy for me.  Back in 2022, I ended up having a grand mal seizure at the end of October - I was extremely stressed, dehydrated, and my body let me know that it couldn't take any more.  I've learned to take better care of myself since then!

I'd like to enter the below card into the following challenges:

Digi Choosday #37 - Anything Goes

Gem of a Challenge Week 18 - Anything Goes

Polkadoodles Week 38 - Anything Goes

Halloween Crafts All Year Long - Anything Goes

Sweet Sketch Wednesday

I used a digi from Miss Sandia's KoFi shop, colored with alcohol markers.  Papers are from Doodlebug Designs. Peace.

I absolutely love Fall!  Yesterday I made a brisket, ribs, mac & cheese, and cornbread.  Today I'm making a roast chicken with carrots & onions, mashed potatoes, and corn.  My daughter is bringing the kids over for dinner so I'm just popping in quick to post my card for today.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

I posted earlier with a pink version of a similar card that I made for my oldest granddaughter RaeRae.  This card is for her little sister Lisey (age 4), whose favorite color is purple because it's Grammy's favorite color (she's my biggest fan).  :)  I love her so much.  Anyway, the background was made using Tim Holtz Mica Spray Stain sprayed on some watercolor paper. This digi from All Dressed Up is called Party Girl but I can't find her in the store anymore to link up to, she's colored with alcohol markers and some Dazzling Diamonds glitter from Stampin' Up!  Peace.

We're All Bonkers!

Hi there!  I was lucky enough to win a bunch of images from The Paper Shelter recently, so I've now got a nice assortment of digis to choose from for their challenges!  Here's a card I made that totally reminds me of my youngest granddaughter, Millie:

Wishing You a Haunted Night

Happy Boo-Day

I am freaking determined to win a Simon Says Stamp Challenge some day.  ROFL  I try hard to get the limit of 5 projects entered into each of them each week, but I don't always make it.  This is my 4th entry for the Wednesday challenge this week.  I love that they almost always have a real challenge theme instead of "anything goes" - I mean, those can be cool but I like to actually be challenged!  Here's today's card:

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Four Legged Friends

Polkadoodles #36 - Anything Goes

Two Old Bats - Anything Halloween Goes

Crafter's Cafe - Anything Goes/Add an Animal

We Love to Create - Anything Goes

So I purchased some new watercolor paper, and it was NOT the same one I purchased last time, and I was slightly disappointed.  It's supposed to be white but it's more off-white - but after I played with it, I realized it's also thicker and sturdier than the white one that I purchase.  Anyway, I used the "rough" side of the paper to create this background, you can really see the texture showing through - I used Distress Inks and a stencil, then spritzed with some Tim Holtz Mica Spray Stain.  My image is a digi from Polkadoodles, colored with alcohol markers.  I wasn't thrilled with how the sentiment stamped out, but it does look kind of grungy and like it belongs, so I left it alone. LOL Thanks for visiting! Peace.

so very proud

I keep finding new stamp companies to fall in love with and O-M-G, my poor bank account... ROFL  I could not resist purchasing some of these Tracey Hey Stamps from Alpaca Pals and now they are about to come out with a Christmas release.  I'm not a big Christmas-card maker, but I just KNOW I'm not going to be able to resist at least one of the new sets. hee hee  For today, I'd like to share this Proud Peacock card with you all:

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Color Dare #617

Crafter's Cafe - Anything Goes/Include an Animal

AllSorts - Something Fishy or Anything Goes

Creative Knockouts - Embossing Delight

Polkadoodles #37 - Anything Goes

I created my background by using a blending brush with Distress Inks on watercolor paper.  I sponged the edges in black and stamped the image/sentiment directly on the background with Versafine black and then embossed with clear embossing powder.  I then stamped the peacock's body on a coordinating piece of watercolor paper that I had used the same technique on and fussy-cut out and attached with foam dimensional tape.  Peace.

Peace.

A Little Witch in All of Us ATC

I love making ATC's!  I used to run an ATC Challenge blog called Wicked Wednesday - I'd love to bring it back some day... I'm just too busy with my grandchildren these days to coordinate it right now.  Eventually, though...

Everything is stamped with Versafine Black ink and embossed with a sparkly clear embossing powder. Peace.

National Care Bear Day!

Heyyyy!  Did you all know that today, September 9, is NATIONAL CARE BEAR DAY?!?

I had no idea it was a thing - but when I saw it was today, I had the freaking PERFECT (albeit non-traditional) card to share for it.  hee hee  I was 11 when Care Bears came out, my sister and I were obsessed with them for a bit - my favorite was Sunshine Bear.

WARNING - SWEAR WORDS! Do not keep scrolling if you are easily offended.....

OK so I'm going to enter this into the following challenges, and I did read all of the rules but if anyone wants me to remove it, please just let me know.  I'm hoping we're all adults and can handle swear words.  LOL

Make My Monday - National Teddy Bear Day

Crafts Galore Encore - Anything Goes

Love & Courage

Hi everyone!  I made this project for the Fun with Funky Fossils FB Challenge for September.  The challenge is Not Used Yet so I went through my die folder and found this little library card die (Sizzix - Eileen Hull) that I bought YEARS ago but was too intimidated to try using.  So I pulled it out and I made a background with Distress Inks and then stamped my Funky Fossil Bokeh Flowers & LOVE word on the front pocket.  Decorated one of the library cards with just the honeycomb stamp and on the other, I stamped on Kraft and colored with alcohol markers.  I'm in love with this one if I do say so myself!!!!  I hope you like it!  :)  (Both pics just so you can see it assembled & unassembled!)

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

AllSorts - Autumn Colors/Anything Goes

Creative Knockouts - Anything Goes

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Stamp It! (no digis)

Paper Funday - Anything Goes/Create Your Own Background

.............................................

Next up is a card that I made for a friend who was just diagnosed with cancer:

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Lost Coast Portal to Creativity #189 - Animals

Time Out #271 - Friendship/Encouragement/Support

Path of Positivity #123 - Strength/Courage

Color Dare #616 (I used brown & white & pink)

I stamped this adorable lion from Unity Stamps, colored with alcohol markers and fussy-cut.  The background was created with varying shades of brown Distress Inks and blended on watercolor paper.  I stamped some heart borders and the sentiment directly on the background and added some bling.  Peace.

Autumn Tag & Sympathy Card

 Happy Saturday!

Two projects to share today - first up is a tag I made by recycling an old tag I found in my stash.

I'd like to enter this tag into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Recycle It

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Stamp It

Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero - September Anything Goes

AllSorts - Autumn Colors/Anything Goes

Kreative Aunts #93 - Mushrooms

I used Distress Inks to create the background and then stamped with Versafine black and clear embossing powder - stamps are by Globeland and Hero Arts.

...........................................................

And my second card for today - I struggle with sympathy cards.  Everything I do tends to be bright and cheerful or witchy and Halloween-ish.  Here is what I came up with:

I would like to enter this one into the following challenges:

Die Cut Divas - Sympathy

Critter Crazy - Anything Goes w/ Critter

Creative Knockouts - Anything Goes

Lost Coast Portal to Creativity #189 - September/Animals

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything Goes

I stamped the gorgeous fox from Creative Expressions with Versafine black and embossed with clear embossing powder, then colored him with alcohol markers.  Background was created with a cloud stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.  The one thing I don't like about dies is that once I take them out of their package and put them in my magnetic book, I can't remember what brand they are!  I cannot for the life of me find this moon die online anywhere.  It reminds me of the Tim Holtz one, but it's not (it's perfectly round, his is a little misshapen - and I don't have the bats!).  Weird.  Anyway, it's a cool full moon die that comes with 3 pieces for layering.  Sticker sentiment is from SRM Stickers. Peace.

Friends are the family we choose

Good morning!  We have some beautiful Fall weather coming up, my favorite season!

I'd like to enter the below card into the following challenges:

As You Like It: To Layer (or not) and Why

I used to use lots of patterned papers and layers in my cards but I seem to have gravitated to creating my own backgrounds with alcohol inks, distress inks, and Lindy's Magicals - so I almost never use layers anymore!

Color Dare Challenge #616

Time Out Challenge #271 - Friendship/Encouragement/Support

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Stamp It!

Paper Funday - Anything Goes/Create Your Own Background

I used varying shades of brown distress inks blended with a pale pink distress ink and a stencil to create the background.  I added a sentiment stamp from Gina K and a pink paper flower with a button center.  I used white Pops of Color as accents.  Peace.
