You're Super & Wish Upon a Star

Happy Friday! I'm having my middle granddaughter Lisey (Analiz) over for a sleepover tonight. She's going to be 6 in June and she's Grammy's girl. ;) We're going to spend some time in my craft room making a Mother's Day gift for her mom (my daughter), we'll make brownie sundaes and watch movies and then go to breakfast on her way home tomorrow.  :)  I'm looking forward to it!

I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Passion for Markers 835 - Heroes - Super or Real

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

AllSorts #848 - AG/Optional Anything But Square

Addicted to Stamps #516 - Make Your Mark

I have been doing a great job of using up backgrounds that I have in my stash - I have A LOT. LOL  It's one of my favorite things to do, make backgrounds. So this one was made with Lindy's Magicals on watercolor paper. I stamped the image & sentiments from The Greeting Farm's Amazing Duo rubber set (2009) with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored Anya the Super Heroin and her mask with Copics and Stickles, fussy cut her, and attached her with foam dots. I die cut the words, sponged the edges, and attached those with foam dots. Added some bling to it for sparkle.

..............................

And I'd like to enter the next card into the following challenges:

Make My Monday #276 - Birds and/or Eggs

Fab n' Funky #636 - Pink, Blue, and/or Yellow

I used Lindy's Magicals on watercolor paper for the background. I stamped some zodiac sign star stamps all over it and the sentiment in the corner.  Stamps are from Unity Stamp Co. The Owl & The Moon - I stamped the owl image with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics, fussy cut, and attached with foam dimensional tape. Peace.

Glad Things Are Looking Up

Rainy day here in New England - cold, too! I decided to spend a little time reorganizing my spare bedroom where the grandkids sleep and a then a little time in my craft room!  I'd like to enter this card below into the:

Shopping Our Stash 572 - Up, Up, and Away

I made a step pattern card - papers are from an old 6x6 My Mind's Eye pad in my stash, stamp is an old one from my stash, from My Favorite Things. I paper pieced the kites and covered them in Diamond Glaze. Peace.

Feelings of Power & Be Bold

Last day of April and I've still got a few cards to share using the April release stencils from:

This one is called Diamond Lines, which I used for the background:

And this one is called Twirly Mask - I used this one on the leaves of the plant:

I used the reverse stencil technique on the background and sponged the edges, then roughed them up. I used the Propagated Plants die cuts from Spellbinders, using my Twirly Mask stencil on the leaves. Sentiment is from Ink Road Stamps, stamped with Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink and embosssed with clear embossing powder.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Paper Funday #86- AG/Optional Dies or Punches

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes

................

I used the Twirly Mask stencil for this one:

I'd like to enter this one into the:

Heart's Quest #85 - AG with a Heart/Optional Pink or Blue

I kept it pretty simple by just ink blending through the stencil, then spritzing with water and applying the same color ink to the edges. I die cut the heart from gray cardstock and stamped the butterfly & sentiment with a gray oxide ink, then embossed with clear embossing powder. Finished it off with a few rhinestone stickers.

Thanks for visiting! Peace.

I'll Be Your Umbrella & Art Journal Pages

Good morning! I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Pick 3 #4 (I used friend, rain, feminine)

Inkspirational - Rain

Shopping Our Stash 572 - Up, Up, and Away

If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #215 - Rainy Days

Papers are from My Mind's Eye, a very old 6x6 pad! I'm doing so great at using up my stash, the Shopping Our Stash challenge really encourages me to do that!!! I printed out the umbrella (free coloring page) and paper-pieced it with the same paper pad. Sentiment is a digi and was saved in my hard drive by noting it was from "Tracy Hockman".

..............................................

And I've got one more for today - this one is for the:

Make My Monday #276- Birds and/or Eggs

The flamingo is a clipart from Ivanka Art Design. I used gray and black inks for the background, and applied black texture paste through a stencil for the XOXOXO's. I added some die cut hearts from some scrap pieces of previously distressed watercolor paper and edged them in black. It's not part of my challenge entry, but the other page is a fun clipart from Giraffe Creative Studios on Etsy - if you follow them on IG, they send freebies every so often! Peace.

I Love Free Stuff!

SNARK WARNING - DO NOT PROCEED IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED! :)

Hi all! I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

The Paper Players #783

I had this background in my stash and thought it worked well with Rockabilly Abigail, a digi from CC Designs. I used Abigail as the "border" in the sketch - I colored her with Copics, fussy cut, and attached with foam dimensional dots. I stamped the sentiment (Ink Road Stamps) directly on the background with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I framed it with a die cut from Pink & Main. I finished it off by sponging the edges in black. Peace.

The Aim of Love

I'd like to share another card using one of the stencils from the April release at:

This one is called Dashing Circle:

This stencil reminded me of a bullseye target, so that's what I went with here! I lightly ink smooshed some Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink on a piece of watercolor paper and then applied the stencil with a dark gray ink. I die cut the heart and covered it in glitter before attaching to the center. I die cut the word LOVE from a piece of scrap paper, then die cut the heart/arrows twice and layered them on top of each other. I printed out the text, die cut it and sponged the edges with red ink before attaching with foam dimensional tape.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Paper Funday #86 - AG/Optional Dies Cuts or Punches

AllSorts #848 - AG/Optional Anything But Square

A Place to Start - AG/Optional Ombre

Thanks for visiting! Peace.

Nature in Green Ombre - relax & rejoice

Hello all! I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

A Place to Start - Anything Goes/Optional Ombre

Let's Craft & Create #230 - AG/Optional Beautiful Butterflies

Try it on Tuesday - Make Your Own Background

I used Distress Oxide Inks in shades of green, ink blended them on a piece of watercolor paper and then spritzed with water and blotted with a paper towel. Once dry, I stamped the butterflies and sentiment with the Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide and embossed with clear embossing powder. I did the same with the feather, then fussy cut and attached with foam dots. Stamps are from the Paper Feathers set from Woodware Craft Collection.

.................

And this next card is for the:

Retro Rubber #270 - Singing in the Rain!

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

The Greeting Farm FB Challenge - Rule of 3 (3 candles, 3 lotus blossoms)

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Make it Feminine

OK So I had to go with a water theme because I have no retro rubber rainy images! LOL  So I created a bathtub scene with a 2009 set from The Greeting Farm called Pamper Yourself. Most of my oldest stamps, especially the red rubber ones, are from The Greeting Farm. I stamped the images on the watercolor cardstock panel with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics, coloring a slight shadow around each image to make it pop. I added some glitter to the candles, some rhinestone stickers, and a die cut around the sentiment (Jaded Blossom). I matted the panel on a piece of pale pink cardstock. Peace.

Just Us Girls Stencil Week #820

I first ink blended some (I think it was Fossilized Amber) distress oxide ink through my Slanted Chevron stencil, then I added a bit of Peacock Feathers through the Diamond Circle stencil. I sponged some more Peacock Feathers around the edges of the card. I printed out the image from Krista Smith, colored with Copics and used a stitched edge arch nesting die to cut her out, sponging the edges of that with more of the Fossilized Amber. I added some text stickers to finish it off. Peace.

hello & Paris

Hi friends - I have 2 cards to share today. The first is for the following challenges:

Colorful Options April - Yellow or Rainbow

We Love Stamping - Spring

Stamping Sensations - AG/Optional Inspired by Nature

I stamped the flower from Unity Stamp Co.'s Boho Blooms set directly on the watercolor cardstock base in Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics, then used some Scorched Timber Distress Oxide Ink through a stencil around the image, then misted with water and let dry. I sponged the edges with the same color ink. Finished it off with a tiny sticker sentiment.

............................................................

I have a good friend, more like a sister, who LOVES all things Paris. I always think of An when I see anything to do with Paris/France/travel... so I made a card for her for the:

Cupcake Inspirations #636

I created my background by ink blending some Distress Oxide Inks on a piece of watercolor paper and spritzing with water. I stamped with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder (I bought this stamp set at a flea market so I don't know the manufacturer). Peace.

It's Your Special Day!

The digi stamp I used for my Graduation card is called Cute Girl in Gown Graduation School Student - I colored her with Copics and fussy cut both her and her graduation cap, then attached them with foam dimensional tape.  The papers are from the Graduation School Student paper pack. - I used my paper punch on the lined paper to mimic paper being ripped from a notebook. I printed out the entire sheet of sentiments from the Graduation School Student Sentiments Quotes, then trimmed and attached the "congratulations" and "so proud". I printed out the Graduation Day graphic from the same set and used a reverse scallop circle die to cut out.

It's the Boho Blooms from Unity Stamp Co. - I stamped with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder, then colored with Copics. I created my background by ink smooshing Distress Oxide Ink in Picked Raspberry on a piece of watercolor paper. I stamped a background script stamp (Tim Holtz) on it with permanent black ink and then flicked some white acrylic ink on it. I sponged the edges in black to finish it off. Peace.

WANTED: Conjurer of Dreams Most Wanted Booklet

I gotta tell you, I had an absolute blast making this project. LOL  It took me HOURS to put this whole thing together but I was thrilled with how it came out!

This was made specifically for the:

Conjurer of Dreams April/May 2-Month Challenge: Make a Tag-or-Shaped Booklet

and I'd also like to enter it into the:

Two Old Bats - Anything Halloween Goes

I used Canva to layer the mug shot images (I cannot find them in the store anymore) on top of the cool Wanted Posters, and also to add the text I made up on the "last seen" ones. I printed them out and ran them through my Brother Scan n Cut, then roughed up the edges and sponged some brown ink on them. I added some embellishments to each one like the die cut broom, cannabis leaf, die cut twine & burlap, and the bloody drips. I cut the tag shapes from black cardstock and tied them together with a piece of twine. Peace.
