I made a little canvas for a friend of mine. I started by applying Gesso to the 4x4 canvas, then I used some Lindy's Magicals in Impressionist Ink. I had this negative of a die-cut butterfly in my stash, and I thought it worked perfectly for my little canvas so I used Mod Podge to glue it down. I added a die cut leaf and a little sticker sentiment from a Tim Holtz sticker book.

I ink blended the background and die cut the tag with the Tag Trio from Gina K Designs. Sponged the edges with black, stamped the mixed media stamp with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. Added a die cut crescent moon and bat that had been previously colored & embossed. Tied it off with a fancy black ribbon. Peace.

You know with Halloween tomorrow, I simply couldn't resist making a Halloween themed card for my DT project!

The additional colors I used were yellow & purple. I had this background in my stash that was already lovely shades of green & yellow, so I just added some flicks of white paint to it, then sponged the edges with some Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and spritzed with water to give it that "smoky" look. Stamps are from the Frank and Bride of Frank sets at Unity Stamp Co. I stamped out the images with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder, colored with Copics, and fussy cut. I die cut the sentiment with one of the dies from the Decorative Sentiment Dies set at Emily Moore Designs.

Magic Wand

 I just had to squeeze in this last project because I thought it was perfect for the:

I had to make a paper embellished wand for a Halloween swap I participated in, and this was what I came up with! I used papers from my stash, a black cat die cut, and the word MAGIC reverse die. I decorated sturdy straws with sparkly tissue paper and tied some ribbons around them. I used foam tape to attach the 2 circle punches together (this shows each side). Peace.

I used this pretty floral image for my card, coloring the flowers like daffodils:

I used a bit of stenciling on the yellow card base, then used a deckled edge die cut to cut out the flower panel and the green cardstock panel behind it. I added a little Thank you sticker sentiment from a Funky Fossil sticker book.

This stencil is called Mid Century Christmas Tree (don't forget to use code JennFan10 for 10% off at the shop) - I made a simple little tag:

I used the reverse stencil technique for this after I had used the stencil traditionally on another project. I love the soft, watercolor look you get when you do this. I die cut the tag, sponged the edges with green ink, and added a little Merry Christmas sticker from a sticker book from Funky Fossil.

One more Christmas project to share today - I had so much fun making this for the:

Christmas Kickstart #115 - Goth Christmas

I used papers from Unity Stamp Co., a deckled edge circle nesting die from Mama Elephant, and some miscellaneous dies for embellies. My goth girl (shut up Jeremy) is an older rubber stamp from The Greeting Farm called Tuesday Premiere (all of their stamps are my favorites but this one has a special place in my heart - I love her pretty, gothic, IDGAF look.... LOL), stamped with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder, colored with Copics & Stickles glitter, then fussy cut. I used some sparkly white Fluffy Stuff on her boa attached her with foam tape. Sentiment is from the Typewriter Christmas set at Ink Road Stamps. I added a little ribbon tag from my ribbon scrap stash and those little red brads are also from my stash - wicked old - LOL - from when I was a Stampin' Up! demonstrator back in the early 2000's....

My husband totally made fun of me and said I just don't know how to do goth, I have to make it cute, but WHATEVER! What does he know?!?  I think she's goth! LOL  Anyway, I'd like to enter this into the following challenges as well:

My method of communication is a microphone!  LOL  I created my background with Lindy's Magicals on watercolor paper, then applied black ink through the Music Love stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (don't forget you can always use code JennFan10 for 10% off at the shop). I stamped the girl from CC Designs Hunt set with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder, colored with Copics, then used a filmstrip die to cut out. I printed out the sentiment and used a stitched edge oval nesting die to cut out, then attached with foam tape. Peace.

Stay Spooky

 We have had some beautiful Fall weather lately - I really hope it holds out for trick-or-treating!  It's so great that Halloween falls on a Saturday this year - we are going to have a little Halloween party at my daughter's with the kids and then Jeremy and I sit and pass out candy while Cass and Jordan take the kids trick-or-treating. It's my favorite holiday by far.

Tic Tac Toe #304 (I used orange, heat embossing, stitching)

I used Carved Pumpkin Distress Spray Stain with water on watercolor paper, layering and drying until I was happy with the saturation. I then applied the Mr from the Mr & Mrs Skeleton stencil from A Colorful Life Designs with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and heat embossed with a clear sparkly embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment from Ink Road Stamp's Basic Witch set and embossed the same way, die cutting with a sentiment die set from Unity Stamp Co. that has a stitched edge. Peace.

Mums and Friends

Hi friends!  As much as I love crafts and art, I do NOT have a green thumb.  One of my favorite friends does, however, and she always makes sure I have plenty of blueberries, raspberries, and beautiful flowers from her garden. Her name is Greere and Greere definitely has a green thumb!  She shared some photos of her gorgeous Fall flowers and I decided to make her a card and a gift with those photos. I'd like to enter my first project in the following challenges:

I put Canva to work and printed out the resulting images on cardstock. I die cut this one above, stamped a bit on it, added some kraft sentiment stickers, and then matted it on a postage stamp frame. I then used some mixed media stamps from Funky Fossil on a piece of Kraft cardstock and attached to that, applying another sentiment sticker to the top. I framed this in a desktop 5x7 frame for Greere.

I then decided I had to also make her a card to go along with the gift:

It was so much fun gifting this to her - she opened it and her eyes went wide and she was like "OHMYGOD those are my flowers!".  Totally worth it. :)

For this one, I just took a scrap piece of watercolor paper left over from another project and cut it to ATC size, then sponged the edges with black ink. I printed out the photo of the flowers that I had edited in Canva, leaving the background dark for contrast, and used a postage stamp nesting die to cut it out. Layered a sticker on top of it from a Tim Holtz Halloween themed sticker book to finish it off. Peace.

I wanted to do the spotlight technique on this one so I kept it very clean and simple! I stamped Wicked Anya from The Greeting Farm with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder on kraft cardstock twice. I then colored the Jack-o-Lantern and fussy cut, attaching with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment under her, die cut with a stitched deckled edge nesting die from Mama Elephant and sponged the edges with black ink. I matted it on an orange card base. Peace.

I used Lindy's Magicals from the Christmas Cheer set on watercolor paper - first through the stencil sparingly and again on a scrap piece that I then stamped the sentiment on. I die cut the sentiment using the Deckled Frames Creative Cuts from Mama Elephant and attached it with a small red brad from my stash. I matted the panel on a kraft cardstock base.

 Hello friends - I finally forced myself to take a break this weekend and it was really good for my mental health. I tend to run myself ragged and the older I get, the more I realize I can't do this anymore without paying the price later. I used the Smiling Pumpkins background paper from Mo's Digital Images. I then used a rounded edge rectangle die set to cut out the green cardstock that I stenciled with gold embossing powder and the main panel. Digi stamp is Little Pumpkin from All Dressed Up Stamps, printed out on Very Vanilla cardstock from Stampin' Up! and colored with Copics. Sentiment is a very old sticker from my stash from SRM Stickers. Peace.

Witch Please!

 Good morning! I was so excited when Stephen King announced he was wrapping up the Jack Sawyer trilogy with the final book release, I accidentally bought a paperback version. In Spanish. ROFL  It arrived yesterday and I almost cried when I realized I couldn't start reading it!  LOL So off to Walmart I go to exchange it for a hard cover version - in English. :)

I created my background by ink blending Black Soot & Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks on watercolor paper. I then flicked some Black Soot Spray Stain and a silver Mica Spray on it and let it dry. I printed out the image from Krista Smith, colored with Copics, and used a filmstrip frame die from AALL & Create to cut out, die cutting another one in black to layer her on. I added some little green pearl stickers from my stash and stamped the sentiment from MFT with Versafine Black, then embossed with clear embossing powder. Peace.
