Pisces - The Paper Shelter

Life has just been so chaotic and sad and awful lately and I am SO SORRY I forgot to blog/post my card for the current challenge (Anything Goes - Optional Wet, Wet, Wet!) at:

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Crafter's Cafe - Anything Goes/Optional Feminine

Crafty Catz - Anything Goes

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything Goes

I created my background by blending Distress Oxide Inks on watercolor paper and then spritzing with water. I printed Pisces out, colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut before attaching with foam dimensional tape.  I used some Pisces stamps to decorate the background and finished off with some pearl stickers. Peace.

Brave

Hello all - I hope you are all having a wonderful day today! I went to North Carolina for a couple days with my hubby in our RV (we live in Massachusetts) and we went digging and creeking in an emerald mine.  It was so much fun!  We didn't find any emeralds but we did find lots of cool quarts, agates, some jasper, carnelian, mica, fool's gold, quartz, granite, and a couple small pieces of amethyst! We are going to go do it again in New Hampshire in a couple months!

I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Die Cut Divas - Flowers

A Cut Above - Anything Goes

C.R.A.F.T. - Spring/Easter/Anything Goes

A Place to Start - Black, White, and Red

Crafty Catz #691 - Anything Goes

I created my background by blending Candied Apple and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks on watercolor paper. I used black cardstock to cut the flower die cut, then stamped the sentiment directly on the background with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I added some gemstone stickers to finish it off. Peace.

You are my HERO!

Good  morning! Kids are coming today so I am popping in quick to post the card below for the following challenges:

As You Like It - Cute or Floral (and why)

I love making cute cards - the images are so much fun to color and I love making fun cards for my friends and family!

Stencil Fun - Anything Goes/Optional Patterns

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

AllSorts #821 - Stencils & Masks (or Anything Goes)

Addicted to Stamps - Die Cuts and/or Stencils

I created my background by using the Big Stripy ZigZag stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use code JennFan10 for 10% your entire order at the store) with my Gelli Plate, some acrylic paint, and some Candied Apple Distress Spray. I printed the super hero girl digi stamp (an old one from My Grafico), colored her with alcohol markers and a white gel pen, and fussy cut her out. I attached her and the sentiment with foam dimensional tape, then added some gemstone stickers. Peace.

Creative Inspiration #25 - Anything Goes

I stamped the "Beautiful" the same way, and the "YOU ARE" on a little piece of scrap cardstock cut it out and attached with foam dimensional tape. I sponged the edges in black to finish it off. Peace.

Polkadoodles - Slider Cards!

Hi everyone!  We have some more inspiration for you at the Polkadoodles Challenge blog!

Come play along for your chance to win a $50 gift certificate OR one of 3 $10 gift certificates!

I didn't have a lot of experience with slider cards, so I created 2 different kinds. Here are my creations for this week:

For this one, I made a slider card where you can just slide the bunny across the card's sentiment. I used digi papers from the Spring Into Easter Set 2  paper pack for the background, and printed the sentiment from the Birthday Sentiments and Greetings set onto the inserted paper. I printed out Party Balloon Bunny and colored with alcohol markers (some Fluffy Stuff on her tail) then fussy cut before attaching her to the slider piece.

And for this next one, I created a slider card where you pull the insert out from the top to see the message inside. I used papers from the Spring Into Easter set 2 pack to create the background. I then printed In the Nest, colored with alcohol markers, fussy cut and attached to the die-cut sentiment from the Spring Into Easter Messages set.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Sweet Treats

Outlawz Main Challenge

Outlawz Festive Friday - Easter

Thank you!   Peace.

It's the little things...

Good morning - popping in to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Lindy's Creative Gangs FB April Challenge

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything Goes

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Anything Goes/Spring/Easter

Crafty Catz - Anything Goes

I used my Hexagon Blocks 3D embossing folder from Altenew on watercolor paper. I then painted my Lindy's Magicals in Yellow Jang Yellow and Moray Eel Mint (from the Under the Sea collections) in stripes across it.  I then dragged my black ink pad lightly across the surface to grab the raised parts. I hand cut a hexagon shape from the same piece of watercolor paper, attached it with foam dimensional tape and then attached the bee (Visible Image Stamps), which I had colored with Copics and glitter and fussy cut, with more foam dimensional tape. Peace.

Loving Ourselves

Hubby took me on a little mini road trip, so I'm posting from the road.  We arrived in Pennsylvania yesterday and this morning we are headed to North Carolina.  We're going to check out the Hiddenite Emerald Mine tomorrow, I'm super exited.  I really needed to get away and try to relax, my husband is just so thoughtful and good to me.  I'm a lucky girl.

So I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges today:

Stencil Fun - AG/Optional Patterns

AllSorts #820 - AG/Optional Spring Flowers

As You Like It - Cute or Floral (and why)

So I think there's a time and place for both!  I normally go with cute, but I just love the beautiful floral look of this stencil and you can't always use a cute card! So today I'm picking floral because it lends a pretty, feminine flair to your creations.

Let's Craft & Create #218 - AG + Add Flowers

Color Hues #107

I first distressed a piece of watercolor paper with Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink, spritzed with water and let dry.  I then applied Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink through my Joined Roses stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use code JennFan10 for 10% off your entire purchase at the store) - I embossed the roses with Ranger's Aqua Tinsel embossing powder - I like how the powder didn't stick to all of the roses, giving it additional dimension.  I stamped the sentiment on a piece of white cardstock, used a die cut to cut it out, and sprayed some Mica Spray Stains on it. I matted the whole thing on a piece of Taken with Teal cardstock from SU! Peace.
