Happy Friday!  I've had a lot on my mind the last few weeks, and it's hard for me to stay focused when my head is spinning.  I had to give myself a break and remind myself that I do not "have to" publish a blog post every. single. day.  LOL  But since crafting is truly therapeutic to me, it really does help to just sit at my craft table and create.  So yesterday I sat down and played with my little mini art journal and did a couple of pages in it.  This one was made for the:

I used 566: Jenn's Heart Framed, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and some Stickles.  The quote/journaling stamps are from My Favorite Things (it's definitely one of my fave quotes) - the background was made with a stencil from The Creative Workshop and some spritzes and sprays.  I've got another layout posted over on the Dilly Beans Challenge page, too, if you'd like to take a peek.  Have a great Friday, friends.

Top Tip Tuesday: JB

Good morning!  I got a card order from a friend, and part of the order included 10 "Get Well" cards.  So that's what I've been spending my time on the last few days.  This one is for the:

Top Tip Tuesday Challenge: Use Your Initials

For this challenge, you had to use at least 2 things with your initials.  My initials are JB, and I've used jewels, buttons, and the color blue.  My image is from Dilly Beans, and she's called 413: Jenna Framed 2.  I colored her with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  

My TIP is this:  Stamp or apply your sentiment (in this case, it's a rub-on sentiment from SU!) directly to the patterned/designer paper.

One Sweet Challenge: Fave Technique

One Sweet Challenge: Favorite Technique

My favorite technique is paper-piecing. This image is called Halloween Duo and I used paper-piecing on her dress, hat, gloves, pumpkins, and the cat).  The rest is colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  I really love this challenge because it's a month long and I can really take the time to create something special for it.  I love an excuse to play with my Sweet Pea Stamps but I seem to spend so much time on DT stuff that I rarely get to play "just for fun".  I think a lot of us feel that way - it's not a complaint, I LOVE my DT work.  But sometimes I have to just create for me, especially so I get a chance to use the other gorgeous images I have collected!  LOL   :)

I absolutely love this little spider from The Octopode Factory - I added some googly eyes to him (her?) and colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Colored the heart with Red Stickles, added a spider web die and a black ribbon with white stitching.

I used Back2School Bird Bag (retired image from Just Some Lines), colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and paired with some fun papers from My Mind's Eye.  All of the embellishments are clipped from the papers.  Peace.
