HDH Macabre Monday - Chic Freak

It's game day... go Patriots!  :)

Back to our regularly-scheduled programming...
today's card is for the:

My image is from Scrapper's Delight and the sentiment is a free digi stamp from Scrapalicious Times Sentiments.  I kept it simple, highlighting her hair with purple and coloring her outfit with a black colored pencil/Gamsol and red glitter pen.

I've been busy this weekend and expect to spend most of today creating, as well.  I've had some comments from people asking how I craft when I'm sick, etc. - the answer is that I don't!  LOL  I make LOTS of stuff on weekends, I prepare all of my blog posts for the whole week and then I just add my comments in each day and publish it.  So thanks for your kind words, but I swear I'm human and take plenty of days off!  hee hee
OK - off to get creating, so I can be ready when the football game starts!  Peace.

The Octopode Factory & WW Saturday Reminder

I was inspired by my friend Megan to buy some digi stamps from The Octopode Factory and to play along with:

I decided to make a set of tags with the Wizard of Oz set that I bought, so here they are, starting with Dorothy:
Glinda the Good Witch:

The Lion:
Tin Man:

Scarecrow:

Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West:
I am also linking the set of tags to the:

Simon Says Stamp and Show... Anything But a Card Challenge

What do you think?  I had a BLAST making these tags, hope you like them.  :)  I used Kraft cardstock from Stampin' Up! as my base, and just cut them to tag shapes.  I used all kinds of Smooch Spritzes (Log Cabin, Black Velvet, Emerald, Spun Sugar, Gold Glow, and Silver Foil), I used pink and cherry Shimmering Mists and lots of ribbons from my stash.  I also used brads, eyelets, and sticker gems/pears.  The sentiments are all digi stamps from the Making Our Mark Guy Gendron Fundraiser.

Next - check out my reminder post today at:

Here's a sampling of the eye candy - check out the post for more:

That's all for now - I'm spending this day full of non-stop snow at my craft table.  :)  Peace.

Sweet Stampin' - DILLY BEANS - Sassy Studio FREEBIE

Happy Friday!  I'm finally starting to feel like myself again, but I'm going to be taking it easy today just to make sure.  I have a few errands to run, then I plan to catch up on my cards and ATC's.  Big football game Sunday (GO PATS!), so I have to plan accordingly!  :)

So - first things first!  I have a card for the:

I used one of my adorable images from Saturated Canary, colored her and her little piggie with Prismacolor markers and covered them both in glitters.  Her tutu is covered with Pink Fun Flock, so it's got a texturey (I think I just made up a word), glittery look to it.  The DP is some super old DP from Stampin' Up!  Ribbon tags were made with snippets of ribbon from SU!  (TIP:  I keep Ziploc bags with pieces of ribbon - one gallon-size bag with larger pieces, and one quart-size bag with pieces that are maybe 2 inches and smaller - they come in really handy when I want to add just a little tiny ribbon tag).  The sentiment is a digi image from Scrapalicious Times Sentiments (FREE - check them out!).
Next - we have a new challenge for you over at:

Head on over to see the rest of the fab creations from our outstanding DT and to link up your own blue creation!  I made a tag/bookmark, using one of my all-time fave Dilly Beans characters, Ruby Ragdoll.  The sentiment is part of a beautiful digi stamp set from CS Designs, the quote is original from Chris Stern.
Last, but certainly not least, for today - we also have a new freebie for you over at:

I made a little "tea-bag card" - love these, such simple and sweet little gifts.  I cropped my "Latte Lori" image close and colored her with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits, and Prismacolor markers (her hair, skin, & lips).  Cardstock and DP are from Stampin' Up!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend.  Peace.

Discombobulated!

Discombobulated:  To be thrown into a state of confusion.

That's me today.  I'm feeling out of my element, not quite myself.  That migraine yesterday was just awful and I still just don't feel "right."  I keep getting dizzy, and I'll be really hot one minute and then freezing cold a few minutes later and then I feel fine for an hour.  So weird.  I think I might have to take it easy today - I feel SO BAD about calling in to work, classes started up again this week at the college I work at, and we are super busy in my office.  :(  But I just can't go if I'm still getting these weird hot/cold/dizzy spells every hour!  UGH.
Anyway - totally forgot to direct you all to my challenge blog, new challenge was posted yesterday at:

I created 2 ATC's with the sponsor's image, Vintage Dress by Michelle Perkett Studio:

Next up today I have a card for my guest spot over at:

I used the White Queen image, colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits and sprayed with some Silver Foil Smooch Spritz.  Digi stamp sentiment is an original quote from Chris Stern of CS Designs.

OK - gotta drive my girl to school and then I'm heading back to bed for a few hours to see if I feel any better.  Peace.

Forever Night - A Little Strange

Hi friends - short post today, woke up with a really bad migraine in the wee hours of the morning and have been out of commission all day.  It's almost 4:00 p.m. and I am just starting to feel like a human being again.  Ugh.  So I just wanted to quickly post this card for the:

I used a couple of the fun digi images from Tiddly Inks, colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits and Prismacolor markers, along with some glitter.  DP is from Stampin' Up!  Buttons and ribbon are from my stash.  Peace.

Snowy Morning!

Ahhh - hubby went back to work this morning, but Cass has a 2-hour delay due to the snow that fell last night.  So these things combined means I get a few hours of quiet this morning to get stuff done.  Love it.  And it also means I can drop Cass off at school on my way in to work - perfect!  :)

I have a few things to share with you all today - I have been a guest designer for CS Designs the past couple of months, and we have our first challenge of 2012 for you today, please check out:

I used the gorgeous new images to create a tag:

And a card:

Head on over to see the rest of the DT's creations and to link up!  Please note - sentiment digi stamps are original quotes from Chris Stern of CS Designs.

I was soooo excited to see Lori Boyd bring back her challenges!  This card is for the:
I love these simple and adorable images - they remind me of paper dolls.  I colored with Prismacolor markers and used blocks of SU! cardstock.  I added a sentiment and a few green gemstone stickers.

Next is my creation for the:

I couldn't wait for a reason to use this adorable dragon digi stamp from A Day for Daisies!  I colored her up in pinks - I used Kraft, Whisper White, and Pretty in Pink cardstock from Stampin' Up!  Taffeta ribbon is in Kraft from SU!  I added lots of glitter to her wings and sprayed the whole thing with Bubblegum Pink Glimmer Mist.
Peace.

Bonus Day Off

I would just like to take this time to thank Dr. Martin Luther King for providing us with a reason to have this freezing cold day off!  I'm thinking a hot breakfast and some crafty time while staying warm wrapped in my bathrobe might be how this day is gonna go.  ;)  Cass has the first of her last 4 road lessons today before she can make the appointment for her driver's license. Watch out, residents of Massachusetts.  LOL

I have fallen.  Madly.  Deeply.  Severely.  I've fallen in love with the digi images from A Day for Daisies.  I keep trying NOT to fall in love with new stamp companies - I'm on a budget, and being on Design Teams for several of my favorite digi stamp companies has really been a wonderful opportunity to receive and create with images that I adore.  But I can't help it - between Saturated Canary and A Day for Daisies, I've been sucked in and I just keep using "Bill Me Later."  ROFL

So for today, I have a card for the:

HOW stinkin' cute is this new character? She's called "Birdie Birdie" and she was in the January Club Kit, which I just had to have.  LOL  I colored her with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits, DP is from Stampin' Up! Buttons are from foof-a-la.  Sentiment is from Beyond the Fringe.

Next is something new for me - an arch - that I created for the following challenges:

and

I printed the arch on some heavy cardstock, cut it out and dragged it through several different ink pads, all shades of brown.  I then spritzed it with Log Cabin Smooch Spritz.  The gorgeous image is from A Day for Daisies - LOVE the birds in her hair.  I printed it on Kraft cardstock, colored with Prismacolor markers and fussy-cut her out.  The sentiment is a new digi image from CS Designs.  I am also on the DT for the Cheerful Stamp Pad, and this arch was my creation for this week's challenge, which is "Birds/Feathers."  Head on over to check it out and link up!

Today is also my day to post over at the Just Some Lines blog.  Here's what I posted for today, using one of the new images called "Wanda the Witch - Safe Landing":

DP is from My Mind's Eye, digi sentiment is from Scrapalicious Times Sentiments.
Have a great day, my friends, stay warm!  Peace.
