Hello everyone! My 6-year-old granddaughter RaeRea (Raeana) came over yesterday and told me that she's having a cookout. LOL She is inviting 3 of her friends from school and she drew them a map to her house! She's the cutest thing. She said "Grammy, I'm inviting you and Grampy too because it's MY cookout. Grampy might be golfing but I'm inviting him anyway." hee hee Let me tell you, Grampy will not golf (he mostly disc golfs) on the day of Queen RaeRae's cookout! :)
I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:
Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp Monday - Embossing
Night Owls #49 - Stencils and/or Die Cuts
Try it on Tuesday - Things with Wings
I love the simplicity of this card. I applied Distress Inks through my Square Swirl stencil from the May release at A Colorful Life Designs (use code JennFan10 for 10% off your purchase) on a piece of watercolor paper, turning the stencil and using a different color each time to create some movement. I stamped the little frog & bugs from Swan Duo (Paperie Ink Stamps) with Vesafine Black, embossed with clear embossing powder, and colored with Copics. I fussy cut them out and attached them with foam dimensional tape - I used a die cut to stamp the sentiment on and attached the same way after sponging ink on the edges. Peace.
Super cute! That´s a beautiful project.
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along with us at Nachteulen Challenge.
Good luck and best wishes!

Oh, those swirls are full of fun! This is such a cue card, Jenn. Thanks for adding it to our JUGs gallery!
ReplyDeleteYour stenciling is just perfect to show the little bugs flying around. I like your colors a lot too, and they coordinate well with the cute little frog. A very creative and fun card for our stencil week at Just Us Girls. Thanks for joining us!
ReplyDeleteLovely card, I like your stencilled background and cute bugs !
ReplyDeleteThanksfor joining in at Try it on Tuesday challenge
