Always On My Mind & May the 4th

Hi friends! Hope you are all having a great week.  I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Things with Wings

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Things with Wings

Dream Valley - Things with Wings

Paper Funday - Anything Goes/Optional Something New

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - Anything Goes

I created my background by using my Double Honeycomb stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use code JennFan10 for 10% off in the store!) on my Gelli Plate with acrylic inks. I stamped the bee directly on the background and colored him with Copics. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece and attached with foam dimensional tape.

----------------------------------------------------------------

And one more for today - for the following challenges:

Time Out #288 - Star Wars Day

I used papers from Doodlebug Designs for the background.  The image is a digi stamp from Mayzy Art, who is no longer selling her digis. It was called Han & Leia, I fussy cut Leia out for this card, after coloring her with Copics. I used a starburst die and some gemstone stickers. The sentiment was just created in Canva and printed on the DP. Peace.

Art is an Adventure!

I'm in a Stamping Bella mood today - here's my 2nd card using their adorable stamps, but this one is for their Mermay challenge going on.  I just got this sweet mermaid stamp in the mail yesterday, so it also fits the Something New challenge at Paper Funday!  Anyway, I'm linking up with the following challenges:

Stamping Bella - MerMay 2025 Week 1

A Cut Above - Anything Goes (with die cuts)

Die Cut Divas - Real or Faux Watercoloring (must use die cuts)

AllSorts #823 - Anything Goes/Optional Paper Piecing

Paper Funday - Anything Goes/Optional Something New

Passion for Markers - Fave Color Combo

(blue & green is another fave of mine!)

I created my background by blending Distress Oxide Inks on a piece of watercolor paper and heavily spraying with water, then blotting with a paper towel. I then stamped some "bubbles" all over the background. I stamped Whimsabella Mermaid Serene Seastar from Stamping Bella with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored her with Copics, fussy cut her, and attached to the large die cut sand dollar with foam dimensional tape. I added a die cut "netting" behind her (kraft cardstock). Sentiment is from a Tim Holtz sticker book. Peace.

You Say Witch Like It's a Bad Thing

I think my favorite cards to make are witches & mermaids - I must have more than 20 stamps of each between my rubber and digital collections.  I should count them someday; I'd probably be surprised myself by how many I actually have!  LOL  I am a witch myself, so I have a lot of fun making art projects with this theme but I have a hard time letting them go!  hee hee I'm not sure why I do this with the mermaid cards because I'm certainly not a mermaid although wouldn't that be cool?!?  ;)

Anyway. I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Passion for Markers Challenge #788 - Favorite Color Combo

(for this one I chose pink & orange & black!)

A Perfect Time to Craft - Anything Goes

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything Goes

Halloween Crafts All Year Round - Halloween, Birthday, Outer Space, Sports

Two Old Bats - Anything Halloween Goes or Mood Board

I created my background by blending Distress Oxide inks (Pink Flamingo & Spiced Marmalade) on a piece of 5x7 watercolor paper, then I cut it down to 4.5 x 6 for the card and used the scraps to stamp the sentiment (My Favorite Things) & moon phases on. I stamped Oddball Oz Wicked Witch from Stamping Bella with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics and a white gel pen, fussy cut, and attached with foam dimensional tape. I added some black pearl stickers to finish it off. Peace.

Have a Beautiful Birthday

Hello all - I hope you are all having a wonderful week. I'm going for a new tattoo tomorrow - a coverup actually - and I'm super excited.  I'm sure I'll share it Friday when I do my post!  :)  I have a lot of ink - working on finishing my right arm sleeve this Summer.

I would like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Art Nudge May (I used 525C)

Try it On Tuesday - Keep it Simple

AAA Birthday #73

I recently realized I'm a very literal person - seriously, I'm almost 54 years old and I never realized that.  So, for challenges, I usually take them very literally - if it's a sketch or color challenge, I try really hard to use the EXACT design or colors.  I loved this color challenge - I used Sage & Amethyst Distress Oxide inks blended through a stencil on watercolor paper. I stamped directly on the background - stamps are from the Beautiful Unicorn set at Unity Stamp Co - with Versafine Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. Peace.

Books and Cats!

I love to read - Stephen King is my absolute favorite author (and no, I'm not mad at him about his silly "tweet" - I took it for what it was, he was making fun of the POSOTUS and being sarcastic) and I've always prided myself on reading every new book as soon it comes out. However, I've found myself distracted by social media in the past few years, which has resulted in less reading.  I decided to actively change that when I realized I've got the last 4 Stephen King books just waiting to be read!  So the other night, I turned off the TV and went into the grandkids room and just read for hours.  It felt so good, and I am going to continue to make the effort to do that instead of watching mindless TV and doom-scrolling!  LOL

I'd like to enter the card below into the following challenges:

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

Crafty Catz - Anything Goes

Girlz Rebel #40 - Anything Goes With an Image

Inky Paws Sketch Challenge #240

Color Throwdown #832

I created all of the background papers by blending Distress Oxide inks on watercolor paper and spritzing with water. I love this color combo - it's one of my favorites from Color Throwdown (I use their challenges as inspiration all the time when I'm feeling stumped!). I stamped the sentiment directly on the red paper with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I stamped the kitty from Newton's Nook Newton's Book Club set with Versafine Black, embossed with clear embossing powder, and colored with Copics. I used the Deckled Circle die cut from Mama Elephant to cut it out and attach with foam dimensional tape. Peace.

and so the adventure begins...

I'd like to enter this card below into the following challenges:

Classic Design Challenge - Anything Goes/Optional Feminine

Dream Valley #336 - Things with Wings

Craft Alnica #383 - Butterflies

Little Red Wagon #806 - Yellow Brick Road

The Color Hues Challenge #109

It's hard for me not to "create" a background - LOL!  I used a white cardstock base to create the card and simply stamped on it.  The stamps are from the Let Adventure set at Unity Stamp Co., stamped with Distress Oxide Inks and embossed with clear embossing powder - simple but effective! Peace.

Thank You for Believing in Me

One more for today - this one is for the following challenges:

Crafty Catz - Anything Goes

Stamping Sensations - Anything Goes/Optional Feminine

I Love ProMarkers - Anything Goes

Wednesday's Creative Inspiration - The Great Outdoors

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge

I created my background by using the ink smooshing technique with Distress Oxide inks and a lot of water added to make it flow. The stamp set I used is called Yuzu Darling Dragons - I love this set. I stamped in Versamark Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored with Copics and fussy cut the dragon, then attached with foam dimensional tape. The grass border die was cut from a scrap piece of previously distressed watercolor paper. Peace.
