Weddings/Thank You & From the Heart Sketch #72

Good morning!  A very good friend of mine got married yesterday - her name is Kim and I met her when she started dating my friend Chris, who I grew up with.  This is the card that Kim asked me to make for her to give to Chris on their wedding day:

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Rhedd & Rosie's Challenge: Anything Goes
Stampotique: Wedding/Anniversary/Love (no digis)
Deep Ocean Challenge:  Favorite Color Combo
Top Tip Tuesday: 2 or More Ribbons/Twine

**My tip for TTT:  Use fun items from your craft stash as the center for flowers - charms, buttons, beads, resin pieces, etc.**

The image is a Christy Croll design from Stamping Bella (an actual RUBBAH STAMP! LOL) - stamped on the DP and colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits with lots of glitter added.  Ribbons are from Stampin' Up!
Paper flower & heart lock charm are from my stash.

And this is the thank you card for her parents:

I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:

I simply printed out the text on a piece of Whisper White cardstock from Stampin' Up! then layered it onto a piece of black cardstock.  DP is from 7gypsies.  I added a few little black sticky pearls to finish it off.

And last for today is my card for the:

From the Heart Sketch Challenge #72

The twist was to use warm colors, I think this qualifies for that, right?  Papers are from MME.  Peace.

Turtle

Today is the day - the big wedding!  :)  I'm so excited - was so happy to wake up and see the sun shining.  Tomorrow I'll share a couple of the cards I made for the bride to give her husband and parents.  For now, here's what I have to share:

I found this cute turtle online at a free coloring page for kids site here.  I colored him with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  The sentiment is a sticker that I had in my stash.  Papers are from Authentique.  Flower brads are from Stampin' Up!  Peace.

Friend

Happy Friday!  :)  I have a busy weekend ahead of me, but it's all fun so I'm looking forward to it.  Tomorrow is the day my friends Kim & Chris get married, which is going to be a great time.  Sunday we're having a cookout at my parents' house for Trevor, and Monday night we're having a pizza party at Jeremy's gram's house for Trevor!  Tuesday night I have another Paint Nite and then Wednesday we leave to bring Trev back to California!  Whirlwind!

In the meantime, here's what I have for you today - I love the way this one came out:

My sweet Alice image is from Chrishanthi's, and I colored it with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits. Papers are from carta bella and jillibean soup. For the "I ought to use this more" piece, I am referring to the alpha beads - I always forget about them when I'm looking for the perfect "short & sweet" sentiment!  Key charm is from my stash. Peace.

The Sky's the Limit!

Hi there - popping in quickly today with another boy card, it's nice to have a few of these on hand since I seem to make mostly girly or creepy cards.  LOL  Here it is:

This is for the following challenges:

The image I used from DSB was a previous freebie called Cute Helicopter and I colored it with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Papers are from echo park, and I added a button from my stash.  Peace.

Tiddly Inks: Good Job!

Hi everyone!  I've been crazy busy lately trying to get ahead of the game. I start a new full-time job on July 14, which is going to cut into my crafting time.  LOL    I am excited, though.  Looking forward to the routine and the paycheck!

Here's what I have for you today - my nephew Josh was a junior in high school this year.  He goes to a trade school and his trade is carpentry - they actually built a house in a neighboring city as their project for the year, so this is the card I made for him:

The image I used from Tiddly Inks is called Carpenter Joe, and I colored him with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Papers are from Carta Bella.  I had the little saw brad in my stash - the sentiment is from SRM Stickers and I used alpha beads to spell his name.  Peace.
