Talk about last minute...

So I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the Haunted Design House Macabre Monday challenge "Garden of Good and Evil" this week - but I didn't get a chance to actually DO it until today.  And the deadline is tonight - so here's my 2nd post for today, I did a pair of journal pages.  This is the Garden in Wonderland, and you just don't know for sure whether you are in the Garden of Good OR Evil, and poor Alice risked it by taking a big ol' bite out of a mushroom... guess which garden she was in???

Yup, I guess it was the Garden of Evil seeing as how she turned into a Zombie.  Poor Alice. She's still cute though, somehow, isn't she?  Damn, I just have the hardest time doing straight-up creepy!  ROFL

Images by Spesch (Alice, both good and evil) and Tiddly Inks (mushrooms, skull border, book).  Peace.

Simon Says and All Sorts...

I was a busy girl yesterday - and I plan to be again today!  I figured I'd keep to the Simon Says theme and share these 2 cards with you today... first up, for the:

Guess which one I chose?  LOL  I used the French Hen image from Digital Delights by Louby Loo and my DP is from My Mind's Eye.

Next up - this one is for the:

All Sorts Challenge - Free and Easy
and

I LOVE this one - my images are from A Day for Daisies, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  I used white Fun Flock on the dandelions, and Dazzling Diamonds glitter on her wings.  Cardstock, DP, ribbon, and brads are from Stampin' Up!
Peace.

Saturated Canary, Tiddly Inks, & WW Reminder

Hello friends!  I had SO MUCH FUN making this project the other day, I couldn't WAIT to share it with you all!  But I've had to keep it hidden, because it's for my daughter Cassidy's 17th birthday, which isn't until the end of April.  So shhhhhhh - don't share it with her, OK?  ;)

This is for the:

I made a little birthday banner for Cass - I used a regular 8.5x11 piece of cardstock and traced a banner onto it, then decorated it with my adorable image from Saturated Canary, DP from My Mind's Eye, a sticker from SNR Stickers, and ribbon tags.  I printed out some bubble letters to form her name "CASS" down the side.  When it was done, I glued a pencil to the back to hold the banner.

Next up is my card for the:

I used one of the adorable new Wryn characters, colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits and I used lots of glitter on the frog's crown, her wand, her crown, her sneakers, and the added star embellishment.  I also added some sparkly gemstone stickers and wrapped some twine around it.

Last - if you like to make ATC's (Artist Trading Cards), you should really come check us out at:

Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps and our theme is St. Patrick's Day or Luck of the Irish

Head on over for details and to link up!  Hope you have a great weekend!  Peace.

Friday!

Happy Friday!  I'm spending the day with Cass today, her last day of February vacation, and Trev is off with his Army recruiter to get fingerprinted.  *sigh*  I still can hardly believe my little boy is a little man about to join the Army.  I'm so extremely proud of him.  Yesterday I got an e-mail newsletter from Digital Delights by Louby Loo and look at the new image they have over there here.  LOL   Of course I'm going to have to get it to make a card for Trev!  :)

We have a new challenge for you over at:

Go check out what the rest of the DT came up with and play along with us!

I kind of forgot about this challenge, and I really love playing along with them over at:

The theme is "show us your heart(s)", so I used my Queen of Hearts playing card digi image from Sassy Studio.  I embossed the edges in gold and used some retired DP from Stampin' Up!  Digi sentiment is from TLC, I added a few gemstone stickers and dragged everything through a So Saffron or Real Red ink pad.

And last for today - we have a new challenge (A Night at the Oscars) and a new release for you over at:

It was my group's turn to focus on the new release images, so here you go:

Head on over to Jellypark Friends to see the rest of the team's work and to check out the new challenge!  Have a great weekend.  Peace.

Simple Stuff

Today's cards are about simplicity - I don't think simplicity has to mean boring, you know?  Just not a lot of... stuff.  My first card is for:

I printed out Dorothy on cardstock and Glinda on patterned paper, and switched Dorothy's head onto Glinda's dress.  LOL  I had fun with this one.  I kept the image larger in size and just added a ribbon and a few buttons.

Next is my card for the:

I colored my image with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits.  DP is all scraps from My Mind's Eye - buttons are from my stash.

And last - this one is for the:

The adorable image is from A Day for Daisies, colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits.  DP is from SU!  Gemstone stickers and pearl stickers are from my stash.  Sentiment sticker is from Oriental Trading Company.  Brads and glitter are from Stampin' Up!
Peace.

Sassy and Wicked Cute Cards

OK I'm just being silly with the title post - hee hee - it's a combination of the challenges I'm plugging today.  I have 3 things to share with you today, are you ready?  Yes?  OK - here we go. First up - my card for the:

I love this card, if I do say so myself.  I was very pleased with how the whole thing came out, and I really like the look of coloring on the Kraft cardstock.  What do you think?  Cardstock and ribbon are from SU!  DP is from Tim Holtz.  Digi stamp is a ticket from Digital Delights.

Next up is my card for the:

I love this Dilly Beans image, I used some old DP from Stampin' Up! that I still had some scraps of and colored the image to match.  I used almost all scraps for this card - DP, cardstock, ribbon pieces.  She's colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits and Prismacolor markers.  Her flowers are covered in glitter.

And last - we have a new challenge for you at:

Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo - head on over to see what the rest of the DT came up with and to play along with us!

I have one more thing to mention today - I'm kind of repeating a few of my fellow blogger friends.  Please, for the love of God, turn off that annoying and practically impossible-to-do word verification thing if you want comments on your blog posts.  I comment on a LOT of blogs, and I have decided not to comment on the ones that require this.  It takes too much time, especially when you can't figure out what it says.  If you have a problem with commenters, use comment approval.  This is what I do, and it works perfectly.  Please consider it.  Thank you!
Peace.

All That Scraps & Pixie Dust Studio

I finally got productive yesterday afternoon, and got all my stuff done for the week!  Yay!  :)  Here's what I made for the:

I made a gatefold card with my Taurus Zodiac digi image - I used Kraft and black cardstock from SU!  along with the stars digi paper from Marisa Lerin.

Next up is my card for the:

I flipped the sketch onto its side and came up with this interpretation:

I love the little monkey pirate!  I paired him with the flag/flagpole from Little Scraps of Heaven, treasure chest from Sassy Studio, and map from Digi Sparkles.  I colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits.

Have a great week!  Peace.
