The Pink Elephant

The Pink Elephant challenge this week is to make a card using your favorite Christmas colors. I decided to make a non-Christmasy card using my favorite Christmas colors, red and green. I especially love the sparkle/glitter on her dress, headband and feather, don't you?

The image is Flapper Anya, a limited edition stamp from The Greeting Farm. Colors used are Stampin' Up! Very Vanilla, Real Red, and Old Olive, along with Designer Series background papers. Peace.

I loved this sketch challenge by the Sweet Stop this week - I used digi image Sick Lily from Pink Cat Studio:

Happy Monday and have a great week! Peace.

ho ho ho (DU2DS & Sparkle challenge)

I am using this card for 2 challenges. The Dare You to Digi Stamp Friday challenge, which the challenge is to use the colors red, green, and a neutral. I used SU! Real Red, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, and Kraft - AND "Sparkle Creations" challenge, which was to use any santa image (I made my own, I think this still counts! LOL):

Image is digi image "Dressy Joyce" from the Greeting Farm. I gave her some sparkly green eye shadow and sparkly red shoes to match the sparkly red heart on her dress. I also gave her a Santa hat from the Xmas Sweeties set - she's in the holiday spirit!
Peace.

Anyone for Anya and a few Christmas cards

Today's challenge at the Anyone for Anya blog is to just make anything! I love those kinds of challenges! LOL Here is my entry, using digi image Elf Anya and some non-Christmasy colors (Lavender Lace and Certainly Celery) and turned into a birthday card:

I can't stamp or make cards lately without making at least a couple of Christmas cards. It's been nice, though, because I suddenly realized I had almost 100 Christmas cards done! WOO HOO! It was actually fun this way, instead of feeling like a chore because I HAD TO sit down and make 100 cards. So anyway - here are the 2 I made yesterday:

Above card uses Betty Tree Costume, digi image by Pink Cat Studio. Colors are SU! Real Red, Certainly Celery, and Close to Cocoa.

Below is a digi image by Robyn's Fetish, colors are SU! Very Vanilla, Bravo Burgundy, More Mustard, and Old Olive.

We got our first snow of the season last night - a couple of inches. It looks pretty out there this morning. We are getting our first artificial tree today - my husband hates real trees. He hates the mess, the smell, everything. So we don't usually get our tree until a couple of days before Christmas, and then we take it down either Christmas Day or the day after. So this year, with a fake tree, I can put it up a couple of weeks early and won't have to take it down the second that Christmas is over! Yay! :) I am lucky to have the week off from Christmas to New Year's (the college that I work at shuts down), so I always have time to get my house back in order from the chaotic holidays before I return to work.

I'll be back later with some more cards, probably for a few challenges. Peace.

More Christmas Cards

I make all of my Christmas cards, I send out about 100 each year. But I can't just make 100 of the same card - I get bored. LOL So I just make 20 or so cards at a time and I make all different ones. Here are some of them:

That's Elf Anya above, she was a digi image available one day only from the Greeting Farm.

This is Kitty Santa, a digi image from Pink Cat Studio:

Here are a couple more using Olive and Toasty (digi images) from Whimsie Doodles:

I have decided to submit an application for a couple of design teams - will be back later to share what I come up with. Peace.

Sugar Plum Fairy Girl - Crazy 4 Challenges

Here is a card I made with this adorable digi image called Sugar Plum Fairy from Pink Cat Studio. Melissa generously offered her for free with any purchase of $3.00 or more on Black Friday. :) I am a sucker for a freebie, of course, so I had to take advantage. I used this card for the Crazy 4 Challenges blog which has a "Punch Happy" challenge going on this week:

I used Stampin' Up! WW, Ruby Red and Sahara Sand for colors. Punches are the 1 1/4" circle punch and a scallop punch from SU! Peace.
