HDH Macabre Monday - Eye Can See You!

OK I really need to take a second to breathe here... I finally went and got boxes yesterday, I ended up getting 30 boxes and I've already packed 25 of them.  I was exhausted! The kid at the grocery store is saving me more that I can pick up tomorrow.  So last night one of my very best friends (Dave) and his girlfriend Karen took me out to dinner to say goodbye to me.  I can't even tell you how much it means to me, the people who are making an effort to see me and say goodbye.  Anyway, this morning I dropped my camera.  Nothing happened to it, thankfully, but I almost had a stroke when I dropped it.  I realized I need to calm down, take deep breaths, and try to just take each minute as it comes.  I'm trying to finish up my crafty stuff today and tomorrow, because I have to pack it all away by Wednesday.  We have to pack the rental truck up on Friday and then we hit the road on Saturday.  Yesterday morning I went and bought the Train CD, Save Me, San Francisco.  I LOVE this CD and I think it's perfect for our road trip to the west coast.  I just can't believe it's like, here.  We're leaving.  In 6 days.  Wow.

So this morning I made this page in my art journal for the:

The creepy-pretty image is called Little Lavinia from Simply Betty.  OK - off to see what else I can get done!  :)  Peace.

I thought this came out pretty darn cute, actually.  I had saved that red and white gingham ribbon from a package and it was the perfect touch for this card!  DP is from My Mind's Eye and that cute heart brad is from SU!  I used the "negative" from punching out a red oval to highlight the sentiment.

My next card is for the:

Whimsie Doodles - Choose Your Own Challenge (I chose C. - Use an office supply and lined paper)

I loved this cute image, I colored it with Prismacolor markers and added a piece of red ribbon.  Ticket sentiment is from Wendy Made.

JSL, ADFD, and The Cheerful Stamp Pad

Ohmygosh ohmygosh ohmygosh.  I have SO MUCH on my mind.  We're leaving in less than 2 weeks.  I'm so excited.  We're leaving in less than 2 weeks.  I'm gonna puke.  I'm working this week, so glad, something to keep me focused.  Then I have to start getting boxes and start packing.  I still have boxes in the back room that I never UNpacked - we always knew this was a temporary home.  But it's still weird.  Cass and I went to my mom's to have birthday cake for Cass yesterday, and while we were there we watched some videos from Cass's first birthday and my nephew Eric on Christmas morning when he was almost 3.  So stinkin' cute.  So many memories.  And we had a good time yesterday, and it made Cass start getting sad, thinking about leaving.  Then I started getting sad.  It's natural, I know, I mean geez - we'd have to be crazy not to be a little sad about moving 3000 miles away from our family... but the fact is that we can come home any time we want, and I just know the people who matter will end up visiting us.  I mean, come on, it's CALIFORNIA.  LOL  So I'm trying really hard to focus on all of the positive and stay excited.  I'm sure I'll be talking about this a lot over the next few weeks, so bear with me.  :)

OK so for today - first, it's my day to post at:

Just Some Lines

Check out the blog post for details!  :)

Next, I have a card for the:

I used this beautiful image called Braid in my Hair, colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits, and added a white feather behind the image.  DP is from My Mind's Eye, button is from my stash.

Next - we have a new challenge for you at:

I used "Flo Tea Time" from Pollycraft Studio and the "Tea for Two" sentiment from Just Some Lines.  DP is from Stampin' Up!  Ribbon tags are from my scraps.  I spritzed the card with Spun Sugar Smooch Spritz to give it a "tea-stained" look, it doesn't show up as good in the pic unfortunately - you can see it a bit better on the strip of cardstock behind the sentiment.  Peace.

HDH Macabre Monday & The Kraft Journal

Happy Earth Day and Happy Birthday to my baby girl, Cassidy.  She's 17 years old today - isn't she beautiful?  She's just as beautiful inside as she is out:

I love this kid with all my heart, I can't imagine life without her.  She lights up a room, she's goofy and funny and smart and silly and beautiful and caring.  She talks baby talk to her kitty.  She can't touch towels unless she wets her hands first.  She hates to be embarrassed (just like me).  She is shy in a crowd of strangers, but loves to the be the center of attention with her friends (just like me).  She is a mama's girl.  She is tough on the outside, but a softie on the inside.  But she doesn't like to show it.  She would do anything for her friends, but she's smart enough to know that most of her friends wouldn't do the same for her.  In other words, she knows that most of the people she calls "friends" aren't really her friends.  But she's OK with that, too, because she is a kid and likes to have fun and just knows enough not to get taken advantage of.  I'm constantly in awe of her.  I could go on and on, but you get the idea.  She's awesome.  :)  Happy birthday, awesome 17-year-old princess.  I love you.

Since I do all my crafting on weekends, I'm always squeezing in last minute for the:

I made an ATC using a pirate map from Spyder's Corner, and some images I found by googling "pirate coloring pages".  I made my pirate standing in a pool of blood with blood on his sword.  Bwa-ha-ha.  That's a creepy laugh.

OK - moving on - this next card is for:

The items from my stash include the image, which I printed out MONTHS ago and never used, and the Kraft ribbon, which I've had for a good.... 6 years?  ROFL
Have a fabulous Sunday/Earth Day!  :)  Peace.

Wicked Wednesday Reminder, Simply Create Too, JSL, & Tiddly Inks

Busy weekend!  I'm heading out to dinner with some girlfriends tonight.  More goodbyes.  I also have to bake a cake for Cass's birthday tomorrow (17 - GULP!) and we're bringing the cake to my mom's house.  I also have a bunch of errands to do today and hope to get some crafting in at some point.  I've been coloring while watching TV at night, that's new for me.  But when you're up waiting for your teenage daughter to get home anyway, there's not much else to do.  LOL

We have a reminder post for you today over at:

I am also entering this ATC into the:

Simply Create Too Challenge - Earth Day/Arbor Day

I used an image from Raindrop Echo Designs to create my ATC, colored with Prismacolor markers and Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  I thought the white feather was a perfect addition to this beautiful image and kept it clean and simple.  Head on over to the challenge blog to see lots more Earth Day eye candy and to play along with us!

We also have a new challenge for you at:
