Weddings/Thank You & From the Heart Sketch #72

Good morning!  A very good friend of mine got married yesterday - her name is Kim and I met her when she started dating my friend Chris, who I grew up with.  This is the card that Kim asked me to make for her to give to Chris on their wedding day:

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Rhedd & Rosie's Challenge: Anything Goes
Stampotique: Wedding/Anniversary/Love (no digis)
Deep Ocean Challenge:  Favorite Color Combo
Top Tip Tuesday: 2 or More Ribbons/Twine

**My tip for TTT:  Use fun items from your craft stash as the center for flowers - charms, buttons, beads, resin pieces, etc.**

The image is a Christy Croll design from Stamping Bella (an actual RUBBAH STAMP! LOL) - stamped on the DP and colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits with lots of glitter added.  Ribbons are from Stampin' Up!
Paper flower & heart lock charm are from my stash.

And this is the thank you card for her parents:

I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:

I simply printed out the text on a piece of Whisper White cardstock from Stampin' Up! then layered it onto a piece of black cardstock.  DP is from 7gypsies.  I added a few little black sticky pearls to finish it off.

And last for today is my card for the:

From the Heart Sketch Challenge #72

The twist was to use warm colors, I think this qualifies for that, right?  Papers are from MME.  Peace.

Friend

Happy Friday!  :)  I have a busy weekend ahead of me, but it's all fun so I'm looking forward to it.  Tomorrow is the day my friends Kim & Chris get married, which is going to be a great time.  Sunday we're having a cookout at my parents' house for Trevor, and Monday night we're having a pizza party at Jeremy's gram's house for Trevor!  Tuesday night I have another Paint Nite and then Wednesday we leave to bring Trev back to California!  Whirlwind!

In the meantime, here's what I have for you today - I love the way this one came out:

My sweet Alice image is from Chrishanthi's, and I colored it with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits. Papers are from carta bella and jillibean soup. For the "I ought to use this more" piece, I am referring to the alpha beads - I always forget about them when I'm looking for the perfect "short & sweet" sentiment!  Key charm is from my stash. Peace.

Tiddly Inks: Good Job!

Hi everyone!  I've been crazy busy lately trying to get ahead of the game. I start a new full-time job on July 14, which is going to cut into my crafting time.  LOL    I am excited, though.  Looking forward to the routine and the paycheck!

Here's what I have for you today - my nephew Josh was a junior in high school this year.  He goes to a trade school and his trade is carpentry - they actually built a house in a neighboring city as their project for the year, so this is the card I made for him:

Happy Halloween in June :)

Hello!  Got my boy last night, I can hardly even describe how it feels to see him after months of going without him!  LOL  My kids have always been with me, they've never left me for more than a couple of nights - so this whole Navy thing has been.... weird!  But awesome - he's loving it and I'm so proud of and happy for him!  We're going to go sit by my parents' pool for a few hours when he gets up, then he's going to have a few friends over tonight.  Tomorrow we're going to a graduation party where he'll get to see a lot of people he hasn't seen in a while - years, in some cases.  We're both looking forward to it!

So yesterday I made this card for the fun challenge/blog hop going on at:

Can you guess what my favorite holiday is?  ;)

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:

My digi image is from Oddball Art Stamps, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Papers are from doodlebug design inc., ribbon is from my stash, and that cool Glow Skull is from my friend Glo's Etsy shop here. Sentiment is from SRM Stickers.  Peace.

OK one more graduation card today and then I'm done, I promise!  LOL  Oh and happy Father's Day!  This is the strangest Father's Day for me - my son is in the Navy and my husband & daughter are both in California for the next couple of weeks.  My first holiday without any of them - ever!  I'm going over my parents' house with my sister and my nephews to sit by the pool, drink some beer, and eat some steak.  Somehow, I think I'll get through the day.... hee hee   But I do miss my family!!!  OK here's the card for today:

Art & Graduation

Happy Friday!  My husband & daughter are in California for a couple of weeks, so I've got the house to myself.  It's nice, but also a bit lonely.  The nicest part is that everything stays so clean - the loneliest part is having no one to chat with!  But I've got a full weekend ahead of me, so no time to be bored.  Today I have 2 cards to share - the first one is for the following challenges:

I used Autry Art Lesson from A Random Fan, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Papers are digi papers and the sentiment & die cuts are from My Favorite Things.

New Baby & A Flower is Nature's Smile

Hello friends!  So I found out last night that my son, who recently joined the Navy, is going to be spending his time on the USS George Washington in JAPAN.  He's totally psyched and I'm happy for him - but there's also a small "mom" part of me that is nervous.  I guess I wouldn't be normal if I wasn't, huh?  But for the most part, I'm just so proud.  He's come an awful long way in the past few years to get to where he is now, and I'm so happy for him.

So today I have 2 cards to share with you.  The first was made for my friend Kate's baby shower (which is tomorrow night, so I had to block her from being able to see this on Facebook - ha!).  Here it is:

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

I used Babies Smile from ADFD, printed on Kraft cardstock and colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  I added a ribbon & a baby safety pin brad along with a sentiment from Scrapalicious Times Sentiments.

My next card is for the following challenges:

I just love the Pure Innocence line at My Favorite Things, and I love even more the fact that Heather Ellis has a digi shop, because I like using digi stamps better than rubber lately.  So this is one her digis that I colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Papers are digi papers, ribbon is from SU! and the small bee brad is from my stash.  Sentiment is from Scrapalicous Times Sentiments.  Peace.
