Friday already - this week flew by. Yesterday we got a little bit of (much-needed) rain, it was the perfect day to make a nice beef stew - yum.  It'll be even better today, you know how that is.  I've got to get my card page on Facebook up and running, I'm hoping to get to that today.  So let's get to the cards -  first up is my card for the new challenge we have for you at:

I am also entering this into the:

Stamp N Doodle Challenge: Easter or Spring

I used #164 - Zombie Bunny, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  I love using my huge stash of Halloween papers for other stuff - I added a little ribbon tag, a flat-backed GlowSkull and I did the sentiment with my Dymo Caption Maker.  Come play along with us!

Whimsy Stamps & Sentimental Sundays

Hi there!  Busy day today - gotta go do the grocery shopping and lots of errands.  I desperately need a new pair of sneakers, so that's on my list today too.  And I've totally been craving a big, colorful fruit salad - so I think I'll go to the Produce Market, too.  I wish my girl was here to go with me, it's kind of boring doing this stuff alone!  LOL  About 6 more weeks, and she'll be home.  :)  I miss her SO DARN MUCH!

Today's card is for the:

and

I used Tyalisha, she's from the Lia Stampz line at Whimsy Stamps, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits and a bit of marker.  I misted with some pink Glimmer Mist and attached the image panel with foam dimensional dots.  The "Patience is a virtue" sentiment is a sticker, and I cut a strip of the reverse side of the DP and applied it to that.  Ribbon with the stitching on it is from my stash.  Peace.

WW Spring Fever Reminder & JSL New Challenge: Bunnies, Chicks, Easter Eggs

Good morning, friends!  Well, I have been talking to my sweet daughter every day, and she's decided to come back home.  She misses her kitties, my cooking, even (gasp!) us.  hee hee   I had a feeling it wouldn't last, but I really wanted her to be the one to make the decision.  She was cute - she told me that she didn't want to fly alone again, and that she wanted to stay to celebrate her 18th birthday with her friends on April 22.  She also has a chance to go to what should have been her prom the next week - May 10th.  So I told her that I understand all those things, and that I'd fly back around May 7/8th and visit for a week, get to see her go to the prom, and then we can both fly back home together around the 16th.  That made her happy, so I'm now looking for plane tickets.  She has not told her friends of her decision yet, so I'm not sharing my joy on Facebook until she does.  hee hee  But I'm definitely overjoyed.  I miss her so much - I've never gone more than 2 weeks without seeing her, and it's been almost a month already!  I am anxious to buy those plane tickets, so it will feel more real.

So anyway - today we have a reminder post for you at:

I am also entering this into the:

ADFD & Stamp and Create

Hello everyone!  I didn't get as much crafting done as I wanted to yesterday, but it was because I went out with Jeremy's mom for a few hours and had lunch and went to the art store.  So it was an OK distraction for sure.  LOL And there is always tomorrow.  I did manage to get a card made for the:

Another Stamp Thief

Good morning friends!  I am just posting quickly today to warn you all of another person copying someone's art and trying to pass it off as their own.

The original artist who is an absolute sweetheart is Lori Boyd of By Lori Designs.  You can see her digi stamp shop here:

And the copycat is called The Paper Nest Dolls - I hate even directing traffic to her site (so I won't put her little badge here), but just so you can see the blatant copying, check it out here.

The "artist" has been bullying Lori and attempting to persuade Lori's past/present DT members to go design for her instead (and using designers cards without their permission on her site, etc.) ... how do people like this sleep at night?  I'm hoping she ends up finding her way here to see this post because I have a couple of questions for her.  Like:  How do you sleep at night?  How do you hold your head up high while telling people what you do for a living?  Do you teach your children to copy someone else's work and pass it off as their own?  You should be ashamed of yourself.

Please DO NOT SUPPORT The Paper Nest.  Do not enter their challenges, do not enter challenges they are sponsoring, do not use their images.  Support the ARTISTS - if you like the style of images at The Paper Nest, go see the ORIGINAL artist's site at By Lori Designs.  Thank you.  Peace.

Joyous Easter Bunny & From the Heart February Challenge

Hi there - I had a great time visiting with my friend Tim, but he headed back home last night and I'm getting back to crafting today!  It's nice to have company, but it's always nice to get back to real life, too.  I'm looking forward to doing some crafting today - coloring specifically is very therapeutic to me.

Today I have another Easter card to share for the following challenges:

I used a sweet bunny image from the From the Heart store, colored with Prismacolor markers and paired with some older paper and a ribbon tag from Stampin' Up! that has been in my stash for... oh my gosh, many years now!  LOL

My next card is squeezing in for the:

From the Heart February Challenge

I printed my image on DP from My Mind's Eye and colored with a variety of pencils, markers, and glitter.  Added a ribbon and a little gauze butterfly.  Hope you're all having a great week.  Peace.

Happy Bird Day

Picking up my best friend Tim at the airport today, yay!  :)  He's staying with us until Tuesday night, so Jeremy and I are looking forward to a long weekend of fun.  I may even drink a few hard ciders... yum.

For today I have a card for the:

We're All Mad Here

I woke up in a big old funk Monday morning.  I absolutely hate feeling like that, and I wrote something about it on Facebook.  By the end of the day, I was feeling so much better thanks to chats with 2 of my good crafty friends (Alison & Glo - love you girls!), my sister, and my mom.  Sometimes there is no real resolution to our problems or the things that are bothering us, but it always helps to know that people care, and that they understand.

So Monday afternoon, I decided to book an appointment for a facial.  Last Summer I went to this heavenly spa that I raved so much about, my mother-in-law bought me a gift certificate for my birthday!  I had been holding on to it for when I "needed" it, and decided that this was the time.  It's called Bliss Organic Day Spa and it's in Sebastopol, CA.  You can find their website here.  So I booked a 90-minute anti-aging facial for Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. and it was just absolutely divine.  When I was done, I decided to take the rest of the day off from cleaning, crafting, and anything else that I normally feel "has to" be done.  I sat out in the sun for an hour and then I read for a little while - it was exactly what I needed.  Of course, by the late afternoon I was starting to make lists in my head of everything that needs to be done - hee hee.

So - today we have a new challenge for you at:

I am also entering my ATC into the following challenges:

and

I used "We're All Mad Here Chessie" from our sponsor at WW, Rick St. Dennis, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  I added some Stardust Stickles to his teeth and eyes.  For the background, I used a white piece of cardboard and spritzed it with Purple Glimmer Mist and Silver Foil Smooch Spritz, then used a clock stencil on the corner.  I rubbed the edges in Embossing Ink and melted black embossing powder on them.  I also stamped some stars and used gold embossing powder on them.
Peace.

All That Scraps & Friday Sketches

My daughter Cass is almost 18 - but she's still a little kid at heart.  Right before she left for Massachusetts a few weeks ago, she looked at me all seriously and said, "You are still going to send me an Easter basket, right?"  LOL  So of course, I'm assembling a little basket for my almost-grown-up baby girl.  I made this card for her to go along with it and it's also for the:
