Friday :)

One of my favorite things about being on Design Teams is visiting so many people's blogs and discovering so much new talent.  Between the digi stamp and rubber stamp artists and the crafters who turn those images into beautiful artwork, I'm constantly amazed that things can continue to be new, fresh, exciting, unique.  When I started as a stamper in 2002, I was purely addicted to rubber.  I resisted the digi stamp trend for a while - once I gave in, I was hooked.  I'm both a little proud and a little embarrassed to admit that I have over 8000 digi stamps stored on my computer.  LOL  I find that I create with digi stamps more than 80% of the time now - I love so many things about them but I think the #1 thing I love about digis is being able to re-size them.  I just love that I can print something out small enough for an ATC or  that I can crop an image and enlarge just a portion of it.

So what do you prefer - rubber or digi?

We have a new challenge for you today over at:

Dilly Beans Friday Challenge - StArS!

I know I usually stick with cute characters for my creations, especially when using the adorable and quirky Dilly Beans images.  But this time, the quote from Van Gogh that Megan turned into a digi stamp was what struck me.  I instantly knew what I wanted to do and started searching Google images for a constellation image that I could print.  I found this one and fussy-cut it out and attached it with foam pop-up dots.  I used foam pop-up dots for the sentiment, too.  The background is Very Vanilla cardstock from Stampin' Up! sprayed with Jet Black Smooch Spritz (and on that note, I saw the review on Splitcoast Stampers yesterday for the Smooch GLITZ and ohmygod I gotta get me EVERY color of that stuff!!!! Have you tried it?  What's your verdict??).

OK I guess I'm chatty today, holy cow.  Anyway, one more thing to share today - this is for the:

Simply Betty 12 Months of Halloween Challenge - Treat Bags!

I used Skeleton Peter digi stamp from Simply Betty - I printed him out 4 times in a row, then fussy-cut one of the images out and colored it.  I took the remaining strip with the 3 images and mounted it onto a piece of black cardstock for the treat bag topper.  Sentiment is a digi stamp from Sassy Studio, I thought it worked perfectly for the treat bag.  I filled a small cellophane bag with M&M's and attached the topper with brass fasteners.  Hope you like!

Peace.

  3. Hi Jenn!! Oh I just LOVE what you did with the DB sentiment!!! And your SBS treat bag is GREAT!! I'm torn between the digi and rubber/acrylic stamp world. It's a tough call!! =) I love both for different reasons...I couldn't give up my acrylic tho...I do find digis a bit of a pain sometimes if I mess up coloring or paper piecing and need to reprint it as opposed to easily inking it back up and re-stamping it...hmmmmm. =)

Hope you have a fantastic weekend! Love your pieces today as well as the rest of the weeks creations!!

    XOXO!
