SHE GOT IT!

She got it, she got it, she got it!  Cass got her driver's license yesterday!  It was so funny - Jeremy took her out to do some practice driving before the test and I was home feeling sick to my stomach.  Her test was scheduled for 11:00 a.m. - when Jeremy brought her there, he realized there were a bunch of kids scheduled for the same time.  He came home to get me, and we went back up to wait for her.  When she got back, she just had the biggest smile on  her face.  I was so relieved!  LOL  So we went home and I called the insurance company and got her added on to my policy so she could take my car for a while - she went out and visited her friends and my parents and when she came home a couple of hours later, that big smile was still plastered on her face.  hee hee  I even let her take my car to go to her friend's house after supper - told her to be home by 10:30 and she was home by 10:15, my good girl.  :)  We had a long talk about trust and all that and she knows that if I trust her, she'll be allowed to use my car.  If I don't, forget it.  So far, so good.  :)

It's been SUCH a busy weekend and I haven't gotten close to as much done (crafting-wise) as I wanted to.  Thankfully, today is a holiday - I love Monday holidays.  I am spending the entire day at my craft table.  I did manage to get a few things done yesterday, though - this first card was made with the following 2 challenges in mind:

and

The "optional theme" at The Sugar Bowl is "Love" - so this fits even though I didn't even try!  LOL  I just adore the Diane Duda stamps, and this one is one of my favorites.  I find that I don't drag out my rubber stamps nearly enough anymore (I seem to be addicted to digi stamps!), so I want to try to force myself to use my rubber a bit more often.  One way to do that is to play along with the challenges of the companies whose rubber I own.  I colored with Copics and Prismacolor markers.  DP is from My Mind's Eye.  Cardstock and ribbons are from SU!  Button is from my stash.  Sentiment is a digi stamp from Designed2Delight.

Next up - we have a reminder post for you over at:

I used the gorgeous new image called Minuet, I printed her out small to make this fun little ATC by pairing her with one of the sentiments from CS Designs:

And I also made a card with her by printing her onto Kraft cardstock and matting her with a black frame, covering the entire thing with Spun Sugar Smooch Spritz and adding some brass-y embellishments:

I then covered the image with Crackle Accents to give it that cracked/aged look, here's a close-up:

Head on over to see what the rest of the DT came up with!  Enjoy your Monday holiday!  Peace.

  7. Getting the drivers' license is good and bad. Good....you don't have to stop and take her to events; Bad....you will have to get another car or get in line to use yours.
