TGIF!

Happy Friday, my friends.  I have today off and Monday is a holiday so you know what that means:  a 4-day weekend of crafting!  Cass and I are going to get our hair done this afternoon (cut and colored), so that will be a real treat.  Haven't had my hair done in at least 6 months, I need about 4 or 5 inches chopped off!  AND - I was looking in the mirror recently and noticed these shiny strands of hair... then realized they were gray hairs!  Hey, I am 40 years old - I suppose I should be thankful it took this long to get them!  My hubby has been completely gray for years.  hee hee  So anyway - that will start our weekend, then tomorrow I have a full day of creating planned.  Might have to whip out the vacuum cleaner at some point, we'll see.  LOL

First for today - we have a new challenge for you at:

Dilly Beans Designers & Friday Challenges:  FROSTY!

I am also entering the above card into the:
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Spots and/or Stripes
and

Sweet Stampin' - Spots and Dots
and

Moving Along with the Times Challenge - Spots and/or Stripes

I made a baker's Frosty for my creation today - I colored my image with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits.  DP is from My Mind's Eye - I added a button, some pearl stickers, and a spoon brad from my stash.  Come play along with us and link up your frosty creation!

We also have a couple of fun posts for you to check out at Jellypark Challenges!  I combined the first one:

Jellypark Challenges - NEW RELEASE POST!
with

I used the "Girl in Warm Winter Coat" image, colored with Copics and Prismacolor markers and Prismacolor pencils with mineral spirits.  DP is from My Mind's Eye.  Background stamp, cardstock, and ribbon are from Stampin' Up!  Buttons are from my stash.

Next up is my card for the new challenge this week:

Jellypark Challenges - Something in my Pocket

I used the same image, this time printed smaller and made into a little tag.  I used softer colors and DP pieces from my stash.  Buttons are also from my stash.  Pocket stamp, cardstock, and brads are from Stampin' Up!

We also have a new freebie for you over at:

Sassy Studio Paper Craft Planet Group

Look for the "Fabulous Freebie Friday 1-13-12" post.  I colored Winter Wendy with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits.  Sentiment is a rub-on from SU!  DP is from My Mind's Eye.  I also added some white Fun Flock to her hat and boots.  I am also entering this card into the:

Top Tip Tuesday Challenge - Anything Goes

My "tip" is to make use of your scraps of DP and cardstock by layering them or using them as accent pieces.  I never let anything go to waste!

Have a great weekend!
Peace.
