Cupcake Crafts, Crafty Ann's, TI, and Simon Says Stamp

Hello friends - it's Saturday so please remember to check out my Saturday Reminder post over at
Wicked Wednesdays ATC Challenge Blog!

Here's just one of the ATC's posted over there for this week's Angelic themed challenge:

The image is called Flower Angel from Just Some Lines - isn't she adorable?  If you want to win her, go play along in the challenge - you have until Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. EST to link up for a chance to win!

My first card for today was made with 2 challenges in mind (I like to find challenges and then create FOR those challenges):

and

Everything on this card comes from Donna Salazar's paper collections - I used some Log Cabin Smooch Spritz on the newspaper-looking paper to give it an aged look.  I fussy-cut the flowers and the denim/lace trim pieces and cut out the sentiment in pieces.  Although this is really stepping out of my comfort zone, I love the results!  I tend to make cutesy stuff for the most part, but it's fun to change things up a bit every now and then!  I like how the flower's leaves come off the edge of the paper, don't you?  :)

Next - I knew right away what image I wanted to use for the:

and

I used... you guessed it.  Tiddly Inks' Poppy.  :)  I colored her with Prismacolor markers and bit of Prismacolor pencils with mineral spirits. I sponged some black ink onto the red cardstock just to off-set the brightness of the red.  Sticker sentiment is from SRM Stickers.  Ribbon is from my stash.

Have a great weekend!  Peace.
