Club Anya Design Team Call

Club Anya's Team Anya design team call was this weekend, and I couldn't resist the temptation... I so hope I get picked, but I'm not really optimistic. It was fun coming up with my entries, anyway. Here you go, enjoy!

One of the submissions had to include red, white, and brown, the colors of the Greeting Farm. This one uses Skater Ian, who I just adore:

Next I used Hula Anya and made a bookmark:

Last, I decided to alter a mini composition notebook that I bought ages ago for exactly this purpose but never had any motivation. I love the way this came out, I used Rockstar Anya and lots of glitter and bling, isn't she precious - pink hair and all?

Well, wish me luck! Peace.

I wanna be just like....

Here is my entry for the "I wanna be just like..." contest at Club Anya. This week, I wanna be just like Pam!

I was very pleased with how this turned out. I have a harder time making boyish cards - and I chose the colors and then thought the red might be too girly, but I think it came out cute!

So I figured I'd take some time to give you an update on life in general. The job is going well - really, much better than I had anticipated. I was so afraid of this position, Bursar, and even though the person who had the job before me made all of our lives miserable, I was afraid for her to get fired or quit because I had a feeling I'd be offered the job. So when all that really did happen, I was a bit terrified. But I've come to realize that said person who had the job before me was truly her own worst enemy. She made things 100 times more difficult than they needed to be, for herself and everyone else. I have come to realize that I can do things my own way - and I do. And it all seems to be working out just fine. I'm actually quite proud of myself. :o) Don't get me wrong, it's challenging and difficult and I have my days... but overall, I still love my job and I still don't mind getting up and going to work every day!

On Friday, Jeremy and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary. We had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, giggled and reminisced about our wedding night - we were 22 years old, with a 6-week-old baby at home. We felt so grown-up at the time, but now I realize we were just babies ourselves! LOL After dinner, we came home and watched a movie (What Doesn't Kill You - based on a true story in Boston) on the couch with that baby, Trev, who is now almost a foot taller than me. hee hee We have certainly had our ups and downs over the past 16 years, and we've been through an awful lot together. We've made some mistakes and we've got some regrets, but I believe that everything happens for a reason and because of that, I wouldn't change a thing. For the most part, we've been extremely lucky. Here's to the next 16 years! Peace.

Dare You Challenge and thank you for the birthday cards!

This is my entry for the Dare you to digi stamp Friday challenge this week...

I used Whimsie Doodles digi image Patience, SU! cardstock, inks, glitter and background papers. This is actually one of my favorite color schemes and I love these papers. The challenge was to use ONE ribbon, TWO background papers, and THREE flowers. This will end up being a birthday card for one of the Audrey's Umbrella kids.

Now, you know my birthday was a few weeks ago - I want to send a thank you out to all of my fellow SplitCoastStamper RAK sisters for all of the beautiful birthday cards that I've received during the month! Look at them all!
I was impressed by so many of them, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be this one by cutiesmom. I just love the monkeys!!!
Well, it's a rainy day here in Massachusetts, so I'm going to take advantage of the fact that I'm stuck inside and spend the time creating something for the Team Anya design team call! Wish me luck - I'll be back tomorrow to post my creations. Peace.

MIA

Sorry I've been MIA - the sun finally came out in Massachusetts so I've been trying to enjoy the few weeks of Summer we've had.

A friend of mine saw the invitations I made for my friend Denise's little girl Livvie's first birthday party and asked me if I could make some for her daughter's b-day party, too. Of course I said yes. The party is at a farm, so I had the perfect idea. I used one of my TGF Hope & Grace stamps along with a couple of farm animal images from SU! - all cardstock and inks also by SU!

Hopefully I'll be around a bit more - we're expecting rain tomorrow, so I plan to catch up on my card orders and also to make my entries for the design team for Club Anya. I will post what I come up with. Peace.

1st Birthday Invitations

My friend Denise's daughter Livvie is turning one, and Denise and wanted princess invitations. She couldn't find exactly what she wanted in the stores, so I offered to make them for her. I used the stamp set Perfect Princess by Stampin' Up! Cardstocks are SU! Pink Passion and Whisper White. Glitter is also SU! I printed the text on my home computer. Here is the first sample, using Dazzling Diamonds glitter:

Here is the 2nd sample, using Rose Pink glitter:

And here is the 3rd sample, using Rose Pink glitter and a diamond brad for the center. This was Denise's favorite, so I made most of them like this:
Happy Birthday, Livvie!
Peace.

Happy Anyaversary!
I was dying to use my new Hippie Anya stamp, and the Anyaversary Blog Hop was the perfect opportunity! I used Stampin' Up! cardstocks in Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, Garden Green, and Whisper White. I used SU! Designer Series background papers, inks, glitter, and brads. The flower/peace sign on her headband is "popped" up with a dimensional.

Now you can hop on over to Club Anya to continue on your way - have fun!
Peace!
